I have been hither and thither... sorry I haven't been on as much, guys! The holidays is hell for me! I got tons of freight to deal with at work... I just had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner @ my future in-laws and now I gotta go to my mom's for Thanksgiving (and I have to make sure I get the ham started... mum is making the bird). Shopping is hell too! My sister's B-day is on Dec. 15th (incidently mine is on the 22nd of Dec... a week after), my father-in-law's is on the 24th of Dec. and my fiancee's is on the 28th of Dec... oh and don't forget Christmas! Plus my best-bud is on leave for Thanksgiving and I gotta pick him up at LAX. Oh... and I got to go to California Speedway for JGTC on the 18th and 19th! PHEW! I promise I'll be on alot more often as soon as this Holiday season is over!

things seem to be looking up... new enjoyable(key bit) job... still got a girlfriend that i thought i was going to lose... car seems to be a-ok except for thing i discuss later... just got spiderman 2 fer xbox... really freaking fun game to just screw around in as well as do the missions


anyway... onto the car issue... it seems to be consuming more gas than usual... i haven't taken a look at the airbox for a while so i'll probably do that this weekend... it's probably contributing to it but not all of it... when i'm driving it's not too bad, but when i idle it for warming it up (usually around 2k rpm) it seems to just absolutely guzzle the gas... i'm wondering what that could be caused by?

just taking a stab in the dark here but when your engine is cold and its sucking in colder air doesnt the computer add more fuel. so when your revving it, it may be adding more fuel then normal.

I have a 99% chance of getting in over my head.

I bought that a year ago.

The original plan was to buy another 240 to drive around since my current one is really getting up in miles and in problems I can't fix with spit and bailing wire. Then I would do a JDM 180SX (http://store1.yimg.com/I/jspec_1820_1589753) conversion on my 240SX, swap in an RB25DET, upgrade the shit out of it, coil overs, some nice five spoke white rims...etc and so on.

Long story short, I added up what it would cost, where it would get me, looked at where I wanted to be and just bought a 300ZX TT instead.

well...it looks like it all worked out. after your TT is done, you should go back and do plan A. except dont upgrade the shit out of it. just swap in the motor, and maybe do a few bolt-ons. then do your 180sx conversion. i think that would be bada**. but thats just me...

one reason he is getting it for me is because i have helped him change his radiator, put in his cold air intake and short shift, will help him put on his headers. and also, he says that when he races me after he gets his headers, he said that when he beats my car, he doesn't want me to have the excuse of saying that my fuel injector is screwing up. who do you guys think would win, he has a saturn sc2 with intake, exhaust, short throw, and headers?

well... with it's 124 hp 1.9 litre 4 banger... at approx 2400 lbs... i'd say all those mods... perhaps an extra 20ish hp... so now you're looking around something with the stock specs of an integra... i don't think you should have any problem beating the pants off of him

he keeps up with me pretty good with my fuel injector fucking up, but every once and a while i can feel my car pull strong as hell and it even kind of scares me. i can't wait to change my injector.

that's really odd... because that car in it's stock form should run somewhere in the range of high 16 e/t's... at least that's what i'm guessing.. maybe mid 16's even? if anything you shouldn't have any trouble at all beating him.. maybe that injector is affecting you more than you think?

i know it is affecting me alot because most of the time i am running on 5 1/2 cylinders. i can't wait to replace it, most likely this weekend if i get the intake gasket by then.

anyways, yeah i struggled in physics and calculus in high school. in calculus i know how to do it all if i could remember which equation to use for which problems and in which order to use the equations but its hard remembering 5 different equations in the oterder your supposed to use them for 1 problem. oh well...in college it is much easier. i am ace-ing both with flying colors right now.

just drove the new pontiac grand prix and nissan altima 2.5 (had to bring them around for pilots). the pontiac is pretty damn nice, a lost nicer than older ones. than me and my co-worker went and raced them and they were tied of the line and after second gear, the pontiac pulled away. but one thing the nissan had better than the pontiac (besides it being a nissan), was that it cornered a whole lot better.

even the older grand prix's are pretty nice... 2.5? the last altima i saw was a 3.5.... i was like 'drooool'... aren't the maxima's 3.5 as well? pretty sweet ass cars

the altima can be either had with a 2.5L I-4 or a 3.5L V-6. the maxima comes with the 3.5L V-6.
