get a hold of Mitch. and FRP fiberglass that they use now-a-days does have a lot of flex in it. so unless you literally tear into something i dont see anything happening to that bumper. plus if something happens to it...take it a shop and have them fiberglass it back together.

Story of the Civic Type-R...

I traded my 1994 Honda Civic plus $500 for a 1992 Honda Civic VX with:

-Integra Type-R Swap with LSD
-Integra Type-R 5-Lug Conversion
-Integra Type-R Wheels
-Integra Type-R Full Interior

We're tearing the motor out now to fix the piston rings (The car was run into the ground), and install some CTR (B16B) pistons that will bump the Compression Ratio up to about 12.5:1CR. While the powertrain's out, the car's going to Color Pros to get repainted authentic Championship White (Integra Type-R color).

So considering the deal, there was no way I could pass it up. Even though that meant putting the FMIC for the Zed on hold... Oooooo... I've said WAAAAAY too much. ;)

awhile back when my buddy has Integra and I still had my Sentra he had a Fiber-Glass fascia and it broke... he met this guy at a tire shop who did body work on the side and he said he could repair it and even add kevlar weave to it to make it stronger... wish I had that guys # still. Yeah I really liked that BOMEX fascia...

The Laser has been parted out for a while... I should probably take it out of my signature, but I miss the car so much, I think I'll leave it. :D

As for the FMIC on a Zed32... I would have loved to leave the stock SMICs, but when the previous owner ran the car into a 12" tall curb, things get damaged. :rolleyes:

Anyway, it's coming together, we've just got to get the powertrain back in (Every gasket was bad, every seal was blown, it was leaking oil out of every part, the Turbochargers had more shaft play than a hooker, it had two bad injectors for cylinders 5 and 6, the clutch was worn thin and through, the transmission was grinding every gear, the radiator was sealed with an egg... No kidding).

Anyway, somehow the piston rings were still good, so now that the car is nursed back to health, it's time for some go fast goodies.

I'll put up pictures as the project is coming to a close.

good point...and i like non nissan's, but that doesnt mean i like civics. its not honda...its just civics and accords. i love 5th and 4th gen prelude, NSX, the whole acura line up.

so you hijacked the FMIC from the laser? understandable beings its free but you will still lose power with a FMIC.

do some searching on TT.net. they have tested them. Nissan designed the upper plenum and flow characteristics of the Z32 with SMIC in mind. with a FMIC, air flows across itself therefore ruining the intake tract design. turbulence in your air system is not good and thats all a FMIC does. also the fact that FMIC loose boost pressure, especially with stock turbos.

there was a guy making 525rwhp with a FMIC...he was convinced to switch to SMIC and without a retune turn around and the same day hit 56?rwhp. its proven man...

FMIC's on Z32's are only good if SMIC cannot flow enough air which is approximately about 750rwhp. and even Ashley Power's is working on a new SMIC design to run upwards of 1000rwhp.

how do you know i dont have goo reason not to loike civics? everyone has a good reason not to like civics if you think about it. i dont like the idea of taking a economy car and turning it into a performer. yes it can be done as proven with a 10 second festiva. but WHY? its just not my style....

everyone owns them because they're sweet ass wheels.. and they look like pure sex when done right (eg those...) but white wheels 99% of the time are FUGLY imo... i've Never liked the white wheels... i'm a much bigger fan of gunmetal/black and bronze when it fits (like that car.)

what all is involved in putting headers on, im not willing to do for 10 rwhp, and thats the most i have seen. my local buddy that used to have a N/A Z had exhaust, and after he put headers on, he only saw a 7rwhp increase.

7 rwhp is a pretty good gain for n/a man... the only higher gain you'll get from a performance part would either be TT swap, NOS, or I guess an ECU reburn, but I mean I think headers are still a nice part even if they may not be the easiest thing to install

Hehehe... I just raced a fox-body 5.0 froma stop and got beat. Not that bad though... I would have expected to have got murdered. He got like two car lengths on me and we just kinda cruised at about 90-95 mph after that and I was about a car and a half behind him. I know he was racing because when I first pulled up behind him he was racing a Dodge Dart that had a huge tach. I just kinda stayed behind them. The guy in the Dodge gave him a thumbs-up as he pulled away and then we both got the STOP.
