yea, i saw it on "rides" or some other tlc/discovery channel show. jay leno has one. it showed him warm it up in the driveway and go for a little cruise on so.cal. freeways. apparently the turbo lag (turbojet engine) is horrible and when you want to stop accelerating you close the throttle and it takes over a second to actually start slowing down.

There is no turbo as we know it. It's a turbine engine which is quite something else. The sheer momentum of the engine spining at rpms upwards of 50,000 means it's not going to just stop once you cut off the fuel.

how's the Z coming along? did you just put it on the back burner?
did you make any decision changes on turbos? especially with the GT28R's coming out and competing with the 530BB's but for a fraction of the price.
just curious...

I've actually made some progress lately after not doing anything to it for months. Installed the tapped recirc valve, the oil cooler, dual pop intake, ordered a bunch of little pieces (some gaskets, idler pulleys, o-rings...etc) in an effort to get the motor back in the car. I've also been sorting through all the spare parts I have, tossing the junk, cleaning the usable and figuring out what I need and what I can sell. So far I got:
Flexplate, good condition, no wear on the teeth
Flywheel, 1000 miles on a resurfacing, ring gear in good condition
90-94 TT injectors with complete fuel rails, two tips broken but all tested within 12-12.5 ohms
95 TT injectors with fuel rails (no caps though, I had to rob those for mine), all injectors read 11-11.5 ohms
90-94 TT lower intake plenum, will fit 90-94TT/90-92NA/93CV, good condition
90-94 lower intake plenum-head gaskets, brand new, came with my engine kit but I can't use them with my later model lower intake
Full set of lifters and valve springs, came out of my 20,000 mile JDM replacement motor, all in great condition, lifters show little to no signs of wear

Wow... Amsterdam really is as dodgy as everyone says it is... There are literally HUNDREDS of windows with girls in them trying to get you to come in! Oh man I feel dirty just watching someone go in to one of those windows. But fuck is it funny to watch :icon16: The record number of people offering to sell me hard drugs on the street on one day is 23. :screwy: Sooooo dodgy... But this place is lots of fun to be in.
We are going to a live sex show tomorrow nite and they even use bananas! Man that should be hilareous in itself. Going to be sampling some brownies too while we are over here too :smokin: Should be a greaaaaaaaaaat day :grinyes:
Ill let you guys know how it all goes :sunglasse

Usually you can guess more than half of a movies plot. If you can predict the next ten seconds while watching "Running Scared" then you should go to Vegas. Think of a movie that is plot twist after plot twist from begining to end. Okay, now take that movie you just pictured and make it good instead of shitty.
Another pleasant abnormality is the movie stars Paul Walker, who starred in some god forsaken piece of crap about cars a while back. If you watch that and then watched "Running Scared" it would take the greatest used car salesman in the world to convince you that they were the same person.

Heheheheheeee.... No i wont catch anything. IT was an officially run place where all the girls working there have to get tested once a week or some shit like that. They were all clean :naughty: ...And hot.... Every one at some stage should make it over to Amsterdam jsut to experience it. Its mindblowing... and dodgy :pimp:
Well I have just left Amsterdam and im in Krakow in Poland now. I should be meeting up with Amnes in Warsaw in 5 days time which will be well wicked. Fuck I cant believe my trip is almost over hey. 3 more weeks and ill be sitting at home again. That will be wierd. Only Poland, Russia and Singapore left to go. On the plus side I am WELL under budget for this trip so I think I will be going on a massive electronics shopping spree in Singapore. I'm going to be getting a new mobile phone and aside from that I have $900 spare dollars to spend on electronic goods. Im thinking I might try to find a performance car parts store and buy some stuff for my future car. I've heard a new Motec will be pretty cheap over there. Its something to think about anyway. Ill be loading up on DVDs at any rate.

Mitsu GTOs are slightly different to Vr4s
Especeially the MR edition. I do have a video of a bone stock MR GTO running a 12.888. It was done by one of the Japanese car shows. look it up on the net its called like 1996 Japanese super car stest. They test the GTR, VspecII, NSX-R, STi, MR GTO, and the RX7. I would send you it but im overseas atm. The Rx7 gets slaughtered. The Vspec II dominates. IT was the only car that beat the MR GTO in the 1/4.
The MR is lighter, has shorter gearing, different suspension and less options. They are fast cars, trust me :smokin: Im home in 3 weeks and ill try and post you a link to it then if you havent found it by then.

yag is right, the GTO MR will run high 12's in the 1/4 mile completely stock. but the car is no where near 3800lbs. it has no active aero, no AWS, no leather seats, no power seats, basically just stripped down to bare bone. and as yag said, it has shorter gearing making it a 1/4 mile monster but falls flat on its face once you hit 110mph. :D
yag, i will own thou GTO...if you get lucky, you will drop the clutch and get the jump on me and the whole time you will hope that the drivetrain doesnt fail like in any AWD car mitsu makes except the EVO. :D
i dont think the 3kgt looks horrible but it does look cheap. the little plastic things on the hood....wtf. plus, the 91-92's look the best. the insect headlights on the later models look like poo. build quality should have been better, mitsu just threw something on the drawing board in a hurry when the Z32 came out. thats why when you shut the door on a 3kgt it sounds like the door is gonna rattle off.
ok im done ranting on mitsu now...its just i havent ridden or driven a mitsubishi that has felt "solid". closest was the EVO and it was far from solid and it had 12 miles on it. felt like i was in a soap box racer. :nono:

i dont think the 3kgt looks horrible but it does look cheap. the little plastic things on the hood....wtf. plus, the 91-92's look the best. the insect headlights on the later models look like poo. build quality should have been better, mitsu just threw something on the drawing board in a hurry when the Z32 came out. thats why when you shut the door on a 3kgt it sounds like the door is gonna rattle off.

yag is right, the GTO MR will run high 12's in the 1/4 mile completely stock. but the car is no where near 3800lbs. it has no active aero, no AWS, no leather seats, no power seats, basically just stripped down to bare bone. and as yag said, it has shorter gearing making it a 1/4 mile monster but falls flat on its face once you hit 110mph. :D

Really? All the Mitsubishis I have been in/owned have all seems to be really great cars. And my GTO felt solid as a rock. The plastic things on the hood are there because they didnt do the measurements properly on the suspenion and they stuck up just that little bit too much. :banghead: Hence to solve the problem they put the afor mentioned blisters on the hood. They dont look too bad imo. Im not a fan of the 2nd gen headlights either I must say. I would have to get a 99 front end conversion if I got a 2nd gen.
2nd gens after 96 onwards got rid of active areo anyway. AWS does practically nothing. I actually think MRs still have power seats. Ill have to double check on that one. No leather seats is a bit annoying but I can just change the interior myself.
The whole "hitting the wall at 110mph REALLY doesnt bother me. I dont often go that fast. Especially on normal roads off the lights. Thats too fast for a normal road. 0-180kph is pretty much all I care about. And that, Jason, Is where I will own you :evillol:
Maybe Mitsu in the US sucks ass but Mitsus in AUS seem to go alright. Its just a pity we dont get EVOs....
My girlfriend says i should stop talking about silly cars now. :nono:
Gotta run.

dude, i dont care where you live...mitsus are crappy. the build quality is poor, hence the price usually being a couple thousand less than the competition in ever car they make.
Anthony, you my friend, will never own me in a GTO/3kgt past 40kph. AWD will help you with the launch, after that you will see me fly past you like you were still driving your Mitsu Lancer GLI. watch me go yag...
you know i was thinking about customizing my liscence plate...i may even put. *IOWNYAG*
but seriously guys, anyone got some ideas for some custom liscence plates. i was gonna get *NV MY Z* but i have seen a few people on TT.net with 'envy' and 'z' on their plates. any other ideas?

well, i went to formula d today in chicago. must say i had a blast and got to talk and get my picture taken with some very hot chicas. :D my buddy took alot of pics so when i get them i will post some. very impressive cars, im not really into the whole drift then but it is still amazing to watch in person, talk to the guys, and see the amazing cars that are built.
the RS*R s2000 came in first, followed by "The Crazy Swede" and his SRT-10 Viper, and 3rd was Rhys Millen and his insanely fast GTO. if im not mistaken i think Rhys is Steve's son but i am not totally positive. can someone confirm?
anyways, i had a blast and saw some very badass cars. a silver NSX comes to mind...:D

I actually have an articel from a magazine that I picked up just as I was leaving Canada where the Specialty Z car takes on a VR4 modifid by GTpro (plus 5 other cars). The VR4 was faser but the Z wasnt allowed to use slicks. You would probably find the graph with the breakdown of the 1/4 interesting. As soon as the VR4 hits 4th gear it, as you put it, "hits a brick wall" where as the Z's plo line is really linear. When I get home ill scan it for you and post it up for you. Interesting stuff.
How about the plate FETISHZ. Sounds good for you Jason :evillol:

i didnt spend much time in the grand stands. i was more around the fence line and down by the entry zone. it was a good time and there was some very well done cars to spectate.
that sucks about the fag-tastic fucker, (btw, i will be using that term...), he wasn't even supposed to be smoking but i guess that didn't stop the rude fuckers from blowing smoke in my face every 10 seconds. anyways, werent there alot of fugly models? it was ridiculous, i could find better looking gals standing outside a nightclub downtown. oh well...there were a limited few that were smokin' hott.
wish i would have known you were going, i would have gotten your phone number and met you somewhere. i will be spending more and more time in chicago so i will have to get a hold of you sometime. i will be making another run to ultimatez later this week to drop off some more parts for my build.

yeah, you do that...i never got a chance to read that article but the pictures were posted on forums a couple of times. all i know, if it is SpecialtyZ's (as in Greg Dupree's car) that would have roasted the crap out of any VR4 i have ever heard of, with slicks. that is a high 9 second car, capable of more.
and yes, VR4's suck up top and they are quick down low. and im not saying i wouldnt get beat by any VR4, just not your's!
