yeah got the heads ported and polished, etc.. car's back under the cover for winter and i'm back at school... going to go try and finish things up at x-mas break.

nice, i have just been focusing on school and i continue to call ultimatez constantly trying to get my car done. they are bunch of tards but i am getting all of this work done discounted so whatever. supposedly, they got the whole car together and running and there was a bad lifter tick so they pulled the motor out and the it is sitting at the machine shop being torn down once again to get the lifter tick fixed. we will see...

I can't see how it won't have a few more nicks and scatches just from being around the shop for so long. And damm straight they would want to be giving you a discount. thought you guys might like to know that I got my car back 2 Fridays ago. With the shop doing the work taking so damn long and so many problems I received about $1500 off the labor and a free set of Eagle Rods thrown in the motor with my JE pistons.

but with all good news there is bad news. though the car is back in my hands, the car is running extremely rich and is burning oil to the point of A LOT of smoke pouring out the ass. I think I have narrowed the burnt oil down to turbos which I planned on upgrading anyways just not as soon as I got the car back. and the running rich may be a leaky injector o-ring or this fubard kill switch that is wired in this car.

The car will be going back to diagnose the running rich problem...by running rich i mean flooding at start up and just bogging down when in certain parts of the RPM band. pretty sure it is the injector o-ring, checking plugs tomorrow and checking compression to see if the smoking issue is maybe something internally in the motor, maybe piston rings or valve seals.

so all in all...car needs alot more work but it is nice to see it running and feeling boost for the first time in this car eventhough I do not get to enjoy it anytime soon.

I am thinking about going with Z1s 525s and upgrading to some 555s as soon as I get these issues diagnosed or fixed. wish me luck guys...

btw: there is no feeling like spinning second gear at 3500 rpms and not even trying to.

Anyways, yes, turbos will be upgraded as soon as I get all the little bugs worked out. Just installed the HID kit I had bought for the car about 2 years ago. what a difference it makes...

BTW: I have a huge boost leak somewhere, I think it is coming from the driver's side firewall and I am pretty sure it is in the Clutch Booster system because of the weird pedal pressures I am getting at different amounts of boost. As for the running rich, I still think it is an injector o ring. I will have time over the next few weeks to start tearing in to it. I have to clean up the garage a bit first though. eww,....I do not want to work on that car.

I am really sorry to hear that yag. If you ever come to the US and need somewhere to crash, my door is always open. about an hour south of chicago makes the trip worth it i guess, though I hate Chicago but I live here, I am supposed to hate it. :lol:

hmm...96's arent good for modding but worth it to the "normal" crowd of people who want the newest possible. I would say it is worth upwards of $15k+ anything less would probably be a steal if it is as mint as you say.

96s are bad for modding anyways because of the OBDII and for some reason Z32 tuners can't seem to figure out certain things to override it.

i was considering a 300n/s early this yr. blown engine, but there was a tt engine with all the parts for like 3800, figure spend 2g on the car, and 3800 on the engine, and sell it(rebuilt motor with 3k on it) for like 10g. make a lil profit. then buy myself a vr4 or nice 300tt.

like i said modding isnt my thing. i think my neon turned me off from that. 4dr, and auto, kinda ruined it for me.

this board has completely died...it is a said cold day in AF history or something along those lines. We should liven it up but I think everyone is busy with personal business.

I still hanging in there and getting ready to send my car off once again to a semi-local shop. Sound Performance in IL, they built the fastest street supra in the midwest or something like that but I guess they have a solid background in Z32s.

That's pretty sweet ass. My Z has been at the shop for...shit...7 mo or so now. The transmission blew up in it cuz whoever had it before me did some supremely shitty trans work on it. I've never had a trans go out on any of my Z31s. But I had the trans off the turbo in storage so I gave that to them to put on. Fits perfect...it just needs a custom driveshaft that I haven't gotten around to getting yet...but I will. My Sentra on the other hand is chuggin right along. Found out I'd void my warranty if I mod the thing so I said fuggit...if I can't make it faster, I'll make it louder...I put a brand new Kenwood stereo in it a few weeks ago, JL components up front last night and I have 2 10" Diamond Audio subs with a 1200 watt RMS Hifonix amp on the way...we'll be fuckin JAMMIN in a week or so...

bah...i have it back and drive it every once in a while until I can try out this new shop to tune it and work out a few bugs. I still haven't broke it in yet as I am being overly careful with it.

It is smoking extremely bad when I shift gears but I am 99% sure it is turbos. I am simply waiting on getting all of the OTHER bugs worked out before buying new turbos and fuel injectors.

Anyways, symptoms...runs very strong at certain RPMs, stutters and floods itself at others. running extremely rich throughout the power band but actually sputters at about 2500RPMs unless under large load. Above 5kRPMs it also sputters until I shift. Under no load (in neutral) I can rev it and it is smooth as butter. I think I may have a leaking fuel injector o-ring but my tune could just be way off also.

Once I get these bugs worked out, turbos and injectors will be installed and then all is left is intercoolers and I will be shooting for mid 11s and a damn quick street car, that is reliable enough to be a DD. at which case, I will be done with the car as far as engine goes for a long time. I am looking to buy move into a nicer apartment/condo as soon as March so any money that could be spent on the car will be saved or put into household items.

Next project...a Z32. the trick is I will be buying "the 1", the 1 being a charcoal gray 2 seater N/A in which I will be swapping Power trains with and selling my 2+2. this 2 seater I will be keeping until I am forced to sell it, and it will also be receiving headwork/manifolds/2.5" intercooler piping. As far as appearance goes, the car then will be tastefully modified with Advan model 5's. Obviously the is far off from the future but the future none-the-less. I wanted an RX7 at one time but there is one thing I cannot stand about the car, headlights. Eventually I may own both but my love is with the 300zx.

Screw that...my days of laboring on freezing cold cement in the winter working on my car is over. I will be reading a couple of books that I have been wanting to read for a while over Christmas break sitting in my warm apt and maybe playing a lot of PSIII if my girlfriend did indeed get me one.

ps3 is for the weak, xbox 360 is where it's at.

I'm putting 2 Diamond Audio 10" subs in tomorrow (if I don't run into any more problems...) that are going to be running 1200 Watts RMS, I already put JL Audio components up front (which sound AMAZING...their new line of components kick ASS), got the brand new Kenwood CD player a month or so ago...so I'm keeping busy in a constructive way. Going to see Killswitch Engage at my favorite concert venue in a couple weeks. Uhh...yea...think that's about all I have going on...

i have cable. i've thought about signing up...it does come with 48hrs free(o boy). but right now i'm happy with tuning my cars that i have. i did use the ford gt in a trials race or something. i know i've driven it in the game. i've seen real ford gt's in life. one is on my myspace...parked next to my stealth at a car show. he was amazed by my car(i took it as the biggest compliment ever) i've also played with one on the highway(again in my stealth) and one was at a local ford dealer i wanna say #1546. it was white with black racing stripes and a wing. if u've ever played gt4, the one in the opening is the same one(in likeness). in person they are beautiful cars, from what i've been told faster thru a turn than a 430...which i tested that theory in the game(yea just a game) but it was quicker by a couple of tenths @ laguna seca.

Yea...I have over 100 cars. If you name it and it's japanese, I probably have at least one. I have 4 or 5 Skylines, at least one of every Z car in the game, all to varying degrees of tune. I've been racing in some C class races recently in an attempt to finish up some of the series that I haven't completed yet and, for these races, I've been using my Sentra SE-R Spec-V. I have it tuned to a high C and it dominates in the turns.

If you think the older Z handles the power better than any of the Zs, you REALLY need live...:biggrin:...I'll show you my 240Z that I swapped an RB and AWD into, then fully modded...it's one of the few cars that can run with my Skyline. (And, when I say "my Skyline", I say that for a reason...there are 2 that I am referring to that I have that I use regularly that are very, very, veeeeeeery fast...)

Oh...and, when you say "fast", in what sense are you referring to? Drag race? Windy roads? Top speed? I assumed you meant off the line for some reason and, for this I have my one Skyline specifically tuned for...

i dont really have any engine swaps done yet. o wait i built a skyline 350gt to be exactly like the new gtr35(even runs the same time around the ring...well off by a few seconds, but game error.

i found a well tuned 944 turbo does well in c class races. but jap cars...i tend to stick to 3/s for c class, or an sti.

the only races i've got left are the p1 level(i'm only at level 49, i accidentaly deleted my progress in august, had finished the game)

i do twisty when it comes to fast, 1/4 is great and all, but it dont do jack shit when u have to go thru a turn. i test all of my cars on "the ring" ultimate challenge. lately i've just been renting other games. rented out call of duty 4(best game i've ever played military wise) just rented ace combat 6, had medal of honor airborne...ok. also got moto gp07...difficult. also got pgr4, decent but not great

I personally am going to buy a 47" Vizio 1080p TV tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited to hook up the PS3 and watch a movie and play some games. That would be the greatest Christmas present ever if I do indeed get this job. Basic IT tech for the local school district but the benefits, hours, days off could not be better. How can I complain from great salary pay with 3 months off for summer, 2 weeks off for Christmas, and a week off for spring break, plus all school holidays.

As for the car, If I get this job it is going in storage until I can save up enough money after moving into a nicer place to devote to get it running the way I want. In the mean time I will be looking into buying a used Audi S4. I am hoping to find one with the turbos already upgraded which seems to be common when looking to buy the 2.7L bi-turbo models.

What is everyone else up to?
