i just need to find a good body shop that i know will do a good job seing as there arent any Z specialists here in Ohio.. i know a few places we send or racecars to that should do a good job, they just wont be cheap for her dumbass.

make sure you find a quality shop. the paint on my front bumper is already cracking...i talked to a few people and they have told me with urethane bumpers, a special chemical needs to be mixed with the paint to make it more flexible. who knows but obviously they didnt do something right.

and if you were smart...you would try to make nice with the body shop and have them charge her extra money for a 99' front, spoiler, escort FRP doors, etc. come on, whats another $2k in parts. :D

so i went and got a bunch of quotes for fixing my car. ranging from 1300 - 3000. but interestingly the lowest was the guy who has done some paint work on some of the racecars ive helped build so he seems like the best bet to me. so i went back to his place after all the other stops and said hey you were going to do a minimal about of work, how about you do a few extra things while shes paying for it and he said hed do whatever. so it all worked out and his new quote went from 1300 to 1900. i think itll get taken care of.

i sense a escort front bumper in your future, kaminari side skirts and shaved bumper guard rear in your future. along with a 99' style spoiler and of course the suspension got f*cked so JIC coilovers are a must. headlights might have gotten cracked too so those are about $1600 for a set of 99' styles.

hey crotch rocket. that reminds me, just about an hour ago on the freeway i hear a mean exhaust note upshifting as i pass an onramp. I look behind and its the blue headlamps on one of the new audis right. Well I slow down to wait for it cuz it sounds and looks sweet, and then all of a sudden i see TWO bike headllights pop out from behind it and they catch up quick. Im in 3rd with my foot in my Zs ass and im with em for a while. (theyr probably barely on it.) and we all cruise up well past 100. shortly after i drop off and let them go. so they hit their brakes so that they stay with me. Its an allll black ducatti and a busa. they cruise up real close (still goin 85) and the busas right next to my pass. door and they both gimme the peace sign and the guy says "later bro" as they launch hard and disapear. not much happened but it was still pretty cool.

I'll be the first proponent of Bike>Car when it comes to speed. However, the bike has a very, very narrow focus. It's good for going crazy, not much else.

It can in theory carry a passenger but I've yet to meet anyone thrilled to ride bitch on a sport bike.

Its lousy to go more than a hundred miles or a few hours on. Since you're sitting hunched over the whole time your wrists will start to hurt, your back will start to hurt, your neck will hurt from essentially looking up and your shoulders will become sore.

If you have to carry anything at all to or from work like a laptop, blueprints, lunchbox, whatever there are all manner of tank bags, side backs, luggage racks, backpacks and all else to carry shit. However every single product I've ever seen or used in this manner smacks entirely of total afterthought and usually is only moderately useful at carrying stuff and is doing good if it doesn't get in the way of riding. Then there is all the additional gear you have to take with you where ever you go when riding like at least a leather jacket and helmet if not a top and bottom set of leathers with armor inserts.

There is absolutely no way anyone can argue against the fact that when it comes for mph per dollar the car is a total waste of money. God knows I question my sanity when I start looking at the reciepts I have just from Coz. So if it is purely speed you are after then forego the car and get a bike. It will be much faster for much, much cheaper. If you place more value on things the bike can't really deliever in an uncompromised manner then try to find a happy middle ground with the car, as in don't blow a shit load of money on it that won't really get you too far.

i agree totally...thats why my bike is my second mode of transportation. its just not practical in most situations. i am usually always with someone, luckily it is usually a girl so this isnt THAT big of a deal on a bike. but then again...having a chick on the back of the bike takes away from the point of riding the bike in the first place.

i read that article earlier but im confused...

that article doesn't recognize the difference between the SRAD model and just the regular Gixxer. im pretty sure all 600's and 750's weren't SRAD editions from 96-99. i talked to a guy that is very familiar with bikes and he seems to remember the SRAD editions having some suspension upgrades and CF components making it a smidge lighter but he was not positive.

i cant seem to find much info besides that article...and i see that SRAD stands for Suzuki Research and Development according to one article so one would assume this would be like the Nismo or TRD of Suzuki.

EDIT: just saw a couple more articles that SRAD just stands for Suzuki Ram Air Direct. wtf?

Average chick in a club in Germany (except for the ones around a base) would easily be in the 10% of all chicks at any good American club. The top 10% of chicks in a German club would be in magazines/movies/TV/runways in America. They are in great shape, they have nice full breasts (unlike a lot of thin chicks in America), amazing to look at head to toe and tend to be very pleasant, open and out going.

If you ever get the chance to travel do it, doesn't matter where you go, its worth it.
