If your refering to the PVC piping its all good, lol lightweight and damn not to mention the aesthetics of some polished pvc. Not much makes the engine bay look better.

why? 10psi is not all that much. im sure its running 6-8 in stock form, i dont find it hard to believe at all. i dont know about his power numbers though...but then again, i dont know what kind of power it puts down in stock form.

i just walked around with my friends and egged a couple of houses. i really wanted to do something to the school but they have cameras all around it.

yeah, i live on a compus so some of the parties are pretty wild. But its all good, "each to his own"

next year i will be at college living in the dorms, so there will be some pretty crazy parties, but i dont drink, so while everybody else is getting drunk i can be laughing at them and then i can laugh at them the next morning becuase they are hung over and i can actually remember the girl i screwed the night before.

GTO. Oh hell yeah...

On Sunday night the 24th of October a mate of mine sent me a link on the net of this GTO that was going up for auction at the local auction place. He has always been raving on about this place and how cheap cars go for down there. So I ended up thinking, what the hell, I might as well go down and have a look.

I went down on the Monday to have a squiz at it and the car was IMMACULATE! The paint is still perfect looking and only a tiny bit of wear on the black leather interior. Even the stock rims looked near new. So after a look at it I thought, oh why the hell not put a bid on it. But I can only afford about $16,000 or so (rediculously cheap for a GTO) So On the Tuesday I head down for the auction. It finally gets to the GTO and the auctioneer starts at $17,000.... my heart sinks. But then... no bids... he drops the opening bid to $16,000 still no bids... At $15,000 I put my hand up :devil: There is only ONE other person bidding against me but he only lasts up till $16,000, so at $16,250... I have won the bidding but I didnt meet the reserve price :frown: The reserve was set at $20,500, which, by the way, is still DAMM cheap for a GTO.

Disheartened but not disenchanted, I wait till it comes up for auction again this week. I head down again and this time the bidding starts at $15,000. The same guy bids against me and again I win the bidding at $16,250. So I go home again at 2pm not expection much again this week given that it was exactly what happened last week. At 5:30pm I get a call from the auction house telling me that I didnt meet the reserve (big surprise) and if I would like to negotiate further. I tell him no, because I dont have any more money (which I dont). He says thats ok and he will just call the owner back and let him know. Less than 30 SECONDS LATER he calls back and says " Ok, its yours for $16,250"

FUCK YES!!!

So after some frantic scrabbling around to get the money together I went and picked it up today... Oh is it fun to drive. I feel so pimp in it :pimp: But it doesnt feel quite as quick as my old Z32 though. But my Z32 was more modified as well. I am a very happy man.

To put the price in perspecive a bit... I bought it for $16,250. After taxes and fees and all that shit it will be about $17,000. I searched on the net and the cheapest GTO I could find for sale anywhere in Australia, was $24,000! Oh its damm good.

I know this is a 300zx forum but I though you guys might want to know anyway :p

It was complied to Australian standards in late 92 so it would probably be a 91. Im not entirely sure actually. It has done 91,000kms so thats 56,600 miles.

Goat?? Weirdo :p I have no intention of spending any money on it. That would just be money down the drain. But damm I can already tell that the stock exhaust system on it blows ass. I will probably do the 'free boost mod' but that is it.

Well I made about $2500 from the GT4, $2500 from the 300zx so ill be dissapointed if I dont make at least $2500 on the GTO... I intend to start advertising at $24,500 and go from there. If shit hits the roof I have a few people lined up to buy it for 18-19k but thats only if I get desperate.

And everything is in pretty damm good condition on it hey. The only problems are:
1)wheel alignment is out so it pulls a bit to the left.
2)rear tires are worn down on the outside, probably from the alignment.
3)minor oil leak somewhere. you can smell burning oil once you have been driving it for a bit. I think its just dripping slightly onto the exhaust manifold. Nothing too major.
4)the lense below the left headlight is cracked slightly.

And thats about it... The drivers seat has a tiny bit of wear on it but in general the interior is IMMACULATE. I am also pretty sure it must have had a respray because there is literally NO paint chips or blemishes in the paint at all.

I took it for a nice burn today and the main thing that struck me was the gearing. I thought the 300zx had pretty tall gearing because I could pull about 105km/h in 2nd but in the GTO I was hitting over 120km/h in 2nd and I hadnt even hit the redline yet :eek: Its is waaaaaaay too easy to speed in that car....

And the best part, The GTO doesnt scare me the way that the 300zx used to. :lol:

only thing that concerns me about that GTO of yours is the oil leak...everything else sounds like a dandy deal. i wish they were more reliable, i would pick up one for a DD/winter car. you can pick them up in my area in mint condition for $7k-$10k. they dont get any respect aorund here because they are so damn popular...

The Z was considerably faster than my GTO. It scared me good. I was pulling out of a U-turn one day way I decided to plant my foot... Not a smart idea. I was 95% straight when I planted it but the back end went nuts. It was as though I was driving on ice. I went all over to the right side of the road, swung back to the left, back onto the right side of the road and finally slid halfway into a driveway and half over a curb. I had 80% tread on my tires, and a clean dry road and this still happened. That car was a little too dangerous for me. And yes I am well aware that it was my fault that it happened. I wasnt used to driving a RWD car that powerful. In fact that was the 1st RWD car I had ever owened and I just wasnt ready for it.

The boost I think was higher in the 300zx than the GTO. The GTO just doesnt give you the same back shove the 300zx did.

As much fun as they would be as a daily driver, it guzzles fuel pretty bad. That is probably something to do witht the way I have been driving it but I would imagine it would still be pretty bad. As for the oil leak, yeah it bugs me a bit but cuz im selling it soon I shouldnt have to worry about it too much. Just as long as it lasts me a couple of months I should be fine.
