As much fun as they would be as a daily driver, it guzzles fuel pretty bad. That is probably something to do witht the way I have been driving it but I would imagine it would still be pretty bad. As for the oil leak, yeah it bugs me a bit but cuz im selling it soon I shouldnt have to worry about it too much. Just as long as it lasts me a couple of months I should be fine.



Or you just just try and drive it off boost :p If I ever make it over to the US I demand you take me for a spin in your car once you get it sorted!

reguardless it should be fun and if you make it to the US you will in deed get a ride if we can meet up. :D

Well the gearing is pitched REALLY long on the 1st gen GTOs. I can pull about 135kph at redline of 2nd gear...

I doubt I will be making it down to the US this time around but I want to head over there at some stage. And when I do, I expect that ride :p

That is some pretty crazy spooling though. Over taking will prove to be lots of fun for you when I gets slippery :biggrin:

yeah, what is going on...it was mid 70's all last week. its usually about 30-40 degrees in november here. it got cold for a couple days and then it went back up to the 70's. not complaining but i think this whole global warming thing should be soemthing people need to start worrying about. the US is becoming a giant hot box. :D

I moved into a muuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccccch nicer place. I have a garage now...I don't have to lay in bed at night and think "so I wonder if my subs will still be in my car when I get up tomorrow" or be sit around my house looking outsided thinking "I hope no little bitch ass kids decide to scribble all over my car today"...it's really nice. Plus, the garage is big enough to put my engine in it, too. Plus, I have all the normal shit that I SO missed...central air, dishwasher, heat that I can actually turn ON when I want it and OFF when I don't, nice oven and stove, bigger fridge, toilets that flush, shower water that stays hot, no little bitch ass neighbors playing shot-put with bowling balls in the apt above us, etc. We actually got lucky. Come to find out, the model apt is above us...so no body even lives there...thank you, God. Plus, there's a really nice club house with a full weight room, raquetball court, out door tennis court, sand volley ball court, huge pool...even a free, 24 hr tanning bed...some of which I'm SURE I'll NEVER use...but still...rather have it and not use it than need it and not have it, right?

All this for only ~50 bucks more than what I was paying in the ghetto...fuck that place.

Jason, to pound out the frame, it'll cost at least 1000 bucks, not to mention I need an entire new front suspension/assembly (including axles, control arms... the works)... the best part is that when the car got damaged, the frame kinda twisted ... like when you go to wring out a wet shirt... it's not really noticeable, except for this spot on top of the roof that's a dead give away, but I mean the car'll never drive right again... I'm looking at this 87 z turbo on ebay...

today was a fun drive home from work. i was behind this honda accord at the stoplight going onto the interstate and he wanted to try and go fast. so the whole way down the onramp, im just on his ass while he is trying to go, i have to keep on lifting off the gas. then we finall get on the interstate and i blow by him in 4th gear...and i decide to keep going. i make it up to 140 and damn was that fun/exhilirating. the fastest i have been before this was 125. when i hit 140, i was still gaining speed but i decided to not go any faster. i love speed.

Well It all depends on where your doing the 140. 140 on anywhere but a nice big highway is bloody fast. Even still on the big highway its pretty quick. But If your out on a big long country road, then everything seems about 60 m/hr slower than it really is. Well thats what it feels like to me at least.
