^ that makes alot of sense.... also are the shift knobs for the z32 leather? b/c my turbo's like plastic or somthing like that... yea I've got a few tiny leaks in my car too... one's right above the steering wheel from the windshield, so that everytime it rains hard, water starts dripping on my lap and it looks like I pissed my pants.

yeah...the Z32's are straight leather so they get pretty shitty after so many miles and driving.

the thing i like about the Z32 steering wheels is the fact that is very thick. it just feels better for handling purposes. :lol:

yeah, i think the z31's are leather wrapped as well, just not quite as high quality stuff... anyway, here are the pics...

the dash and gauges are in good shape.

its basically just the upholestry, an auto upholestry place got whp that back into shape in a jiffy. then the only thing you have to do i take apart the dash and paint it and get new carpet. i bet it could all be done for less than $500 maybe. you will have to shop around if interested...

nah, if i'm spending money on the interior it will be to completely redo it all in black or grey.. i really dislike the red...

^ yea I'm not very partial to red interiors... mine is like an ashy grey... and delrious... I thought my car was the only one with that piece of fabric missing on the roof of the car, right be for the rear windshield....

yeah, i dunno, maybe they had faulty glue back there or something... who knows... the one in my 86 is still fine... in fact the interior in my 86 is pimping... perhaps if it doesn't sell before next spring i'll have to swap it in...

Yeah, well, one of our H22 Civics blew up tonight.

It's been raining for days on end, due to a fun Tropical Depression. And Brian (White 1994 Civic Si, with H22) was coming home from work, when the car next to him hyrdoplaned out of control, and forced Brian into a deep pool of water on the side of the road. That's when he heard the engine go ape Shit, he cut it off right away and called for a tow.

We got it back to the shop, removed the spark plugs and injector clips, and turned it over a few times... Water came shooting out of the engine. We took off a few vaccum lines, filled with water, checked the oil, it had turned to 'milk'.

So we put everything back together, and started it up... Running good... Aside for some knocking. This is when we knew what was going to happen.

We repeated the first step, and got even more water out of the engine, and put it all back together again... Started it up, and I heard the worst noise I've ever heard in my life. We knew what had happened, a bearing had spun.

It sucks Ass, this kid has had nothing but bad Shit happen to him lately. His house was destroyed in the Hurricane, he's been living out of his car for the past few weeks, he works so much he hasn't the time to do anything else, and now his car gives out because of some retard talking on her cell phone, and lost control of her car.

But no worries, five minutes later we ordered an H22 block for $120... It'll be here on Wednesday, haha. God aren't Honduhs great? :D

When I got my z21 in it was still in shmick condidtion. Only a tiny bit of wear on the gear knob and thats it. The steering wheel was like new, the paint was awesome the interior only had one small crack in it the dash. And this car was built in 1989 so its been around for a while.

shit wes that sucks... that's the first time i've ever really heard of a story of someone hydrolocking... well sort of.... their car... damn those cold air intakes eh... at least it's cheap to fix... where the hell do you find parts THAT cheap man? that's insane

I would have NEVER in a MILLION YEARS thought that THAT interior was in YOUR car, D. The exterior is spotless...plus...red? What the fuck? Nissan must have had a prain fart...purple on red...dunno what the fuck they were thinking. Fix it, man. You really could do it quite cheaply...especially if you do some of it yourself. It's not like your car is past the point of no return.

That's one thing about my car...the paint's kinda jacked up, it's slower than molassas rolling up hill in the winter time, it's got some little things wrong with it...but it's just about spotless inside. I armor all the dash and everything in there that can be armor all'ed every week or two...keeps it chiney...:biggrin:

Modding the engine to hell and back with no brakes is a death wish! However...he did seem to slow down pretty fast for not having any brakes...??? Didn't hear any engine braking...

well... we'll see what's happening with the 86... i could always switch the interior from that over to my 88... it's all the same dimensions... it'd take a while, but it'd be pretty cool once i finished... but then again, that would destine the 86 for the graveyard for sure...

i'm not sure tho, if i'm using the 86 as a winter car i wouldn't be able to do that... but i might be aquiring a beat to shit micra with a roll cage in it soon, so i might be able to use that.. it's not really running... so i'd probably have to swap a new engine in it... but i can get em from pick-your-part for $50, so it would be pretty sweet... lol:D

Delerious, it's Honda parts, they're not expensive. Honda-Tech is where it's at, I've seen 10 Second cars sell on there for under $5,000. Deals are out there... Well, everywhere... You've just got to know where to look.

LLTZ, he had the brakes LOCKED up, pedal to the floor, and he had the E-Brake up... Not sure why he decided to pull the E-Brake, doesn't seem to help much.

And yes, Brakes are already done. I can't believe how fast that car is with a STOCK ENGINE... God it's insane.

as far as interiors go, i absoltely love the Z32s interior with the rich leather, and the layout of the center console wrapping around the driver and passenger. When i got my Z (1990 na) the shift knob had a bit of wear and the stearing wheels still has a little, but i replaced the shift knob with a really nice almost stock looking Nismo black theather one from conceptz or amz ? one of those guys. But other than the stearing wheel having a little bit of wear my interior is absolutely beautiful. Its in MUCH better shape than that of any of the newer cars my family owns, all 1998 - 2002, once i figure out how to resize my pics ill post em.

i should probably buy a new VG before turbos but a deal like this doesnt come along very often. damn...ok ill wait. friggin practicalitt is such a evil burden.

im gonna have to wait on them. i dont think i want sport 600's yet anyways too much lag for my set-up. im gonna look for sport 500's with stillen SMIC's and 615cc injectors. t

then i think i will go with a pair of sport 600's converted to BB's after i rebuild the motor with stronger parts a couple years down the road. just gonna have to wait and see how much more performance i really want after the sport 500 set-up. i think my aim is 600rwhp and the sport 600's are rated at 600hp to the flywheel but they are also known to underrate their turbos but quite a large amount and most people find that they usually get the RWHP equivalent.

well, its $3600 for the top of the line turbos from JWT. the JWT Sport 500 turbos are *only* $2k.

LLZ, the thing that makes those turbos so expensive is the Ball Bearings. like freak said, the sport 500's only retail for about $2000 and most places sell them for $1800 or so. thats only $900 per turbo but they are not ball bearing design.

the 530BB's are probably the best turbo for a high powered street car. but if i rebuild my motor with forged parts i want to get more than 50wh gain over what the stock motor can handle because the turbos are stopping me.

i really wish they would make a smaller BB turbo than the 700BB but bigger than the 530BB. that way you could get alot of power but lest less lag of the 700's but still have the efficency and effictiveness of Ball Bearing turbos.

i have seen a set of sport 600's converted to Dual Ball Bearing design. these had to been some slick puppies. :evillol:

when the time comes i will look into it more but for right now, sport 500s are sounded good. spools the same as stock turbos but capable of 500rwhp. :D

yeah but when you get a custom turbo made...you get into custom stuff which means it wont fit in the stock location. if you have ever worked on the Z32 you would know nissan didnt leave a whole lot of space for bigger turbos. this is why bolt on kits are the most popular and the must cost effective. to fit a strange turbo that takes different fittings and such could run into some serious cash with custom downpipes, testpipes, and exhaust manifolds. let alone all of the oil feed lines and coolant lines that have to wrap around in a certain way. if you ever notice the greddy and HKS kits come with different exhaust manifolds and such.

this is also why anything bigger than the JWT 700BB or an equivalent arent made for the Z32, anything bigger, simply wont fit in the engine bay so it takes some custom work to relocate the turbos farther down or back or up or whatever you have to do.

so...i did some searching and JWT makes a set of sport 650's that would fit my application good. just need to make them a BB style. :D

Then after the somewhat easy stuff (for a honda tuner) is done then u get into the more advanced. Like clipping your springs, screwing camber with 18"s, and then put wheight over the rear wheels where it belongs by wedging a sub box in the very back, and putting a tripple decker wing on top to give a little more downforce on those overpowering rear tires.

im just kidding wes. ive done two B18C swaps myself im sorry.
