I dont condone hunting unless it it for a legitimate reason, like culling a pest. We shoot hundreds of kangaroos over here but thats cuz they have reached pest proportions in some of the farming sectors. Same goes for rabbits. Rabbits cause millions of dollars worth of damage each year to farmlands. In these circumstances, I think its ok to shoot them. But going out for the fun of killing animals, well, its just not for me. I really dont like the idea of game hunting... It doenst sit well with me.

Some people go way overboard with the whole hunting thing...go get yourself a deer to eat over the winter and be done with it...why go get...like...10? No need.

My gun is more of a "toy" than anything else. I'm going to get my concealed carry permit cuz I work in one of the hardest-core ghetto parts of Cincinnati. It's more just for target shooting than anything else. That, plus I got a GREAT deal on it (230 for the special black and gold one is an AMAZING price...there are places by me that sell the other normal ones for over 300!) and I've always wanted a gun. I'm also going to get the barrel extender to make the barrel from a 3.4" to a 5" one which improves accuracy. This is going to be solely a target gun, or "plinker". I got the .380 first cuz it's fun to shoot at targets but it will also put someone down in a hurry should the need arise...a .22 isn't very useful for this.

I'd love to see the Mausers or the sniper rifle...very cool. Royally sucks what happened to them, though. Ever consider starting over with a gun safe?

well...things like gearing and aerodynamics play a huge role in its quickness. and if you really look at the weight in comparison to other cars, it isnt that bad. they say for every 200lbs you lose .1 seconds off of the 1/4 mile. so saying that the Z32 weighs 400lbs heavier than the Z31 it would technically be about .2 seconds slower if gearing, aerodynamics, suspension were not included. .2 seconds isnt life or death...

anyways, for people who assume that the Z32 is an overweight pig usually have never driven the Z32TT or are completely biased against it and do not obtain basic reasoning skills. it carries its weight exceptionally well and i will never complain. plus the weight helps it reach higher speeds....it is a GT car, not a autoX car.

yeah ive always thought the little moulding strip that goes down the side of my car was a lil odd too. But ive seen it on other Zeds, just not often. I wouldnt mind taking it off but then id have to get a good body shop to cover the little holes left and then paint and all that BS, so im just gunna leave em for the time being.

I'd leave the molding on... looks good on the z's. Maybe I'm biased because my 240 has similar molding.

leave it on until you need a new paint job...then get it all taken care of.

^hmm yea I never knew evo's were above 3000 lbs, I always assumed they were lighter b/c I've heard people call em' light cars or somthing... but I mean come on now Jason, very few cars come close to looking as good as a z32, and the fact that you have a z32tt proves that you pretty much IMO have a japanese ferarri.

well if your clutch is on its way out (like mine is $*&(%^&$#) the first way of telling it's slipping is to take the car up to about 3000 rpm in 3rd and hammer the throttle, if the revs go up faster than it normally accelerates then the clutch is on its way out... can do this at 2000 rpm in 4th as well

if it's chattering when you're enguaging it that means the previous owner liked to ride that thing like a mofo and it probably has dead spots on it (like mine too... fucking guy didn't know how to drive stick worth beans i'm guessing) that could also mean the flywheel needs resurfacing...

if the tranny's on her way out... it's usually the synchro's that go first... excessive grinding into gears is the first sign... if it's just little clips chips and jerks into gear then you might just need to upgrade the tranny fluid... like some redline mt90...

basically, you'll KNOW when something is going...

yea, 3rd gear if I'm not carefull really grinds like a bitch... also, it feels like the car shudders or almost quits when I shift gears under high boost... I just didn't know which one might be going

yeah, looks like your syncro's are out on 3rd gear... also will want to replace the clutch while you're fixing it:p

That could be your clutch causing the grinding as well... Happened with the Shitvic, and it always seems to be third gear for some reason.

oh.. i fixed my alarm today... turns out it was just a fuse that was hidden away had popped.... well more like exploded... but you get the idea... the alarm works again

Hmm how much does it cost to replace one synchro ne ways???? I was thinking about gettin' a new clutch kit w/ and aluminum flywheel too, but there's just no $$$. I think what it boils down to is this; I'm just gonna get my custom exhaust and MBC. Those are the only mods I think I'm going to do, and than when the time comes I'll sell the zed for a z32TT... or maybe a z31 with really low miles, I haven't decided yet, but what I know is that I'd prefer to start with z32.

my comparison makes the 300zx seem like a reasonable weight in my eyes. where did this talk about AWD come from. my point was everyone considers the EVO a lightweight car when it only weighs 150lbs less than the 300zx but also has 20+less HP. i thought it was a very good comparison. just because a car has AWD doesnt mean it is a totally different breed. i can think of a million other examples...but i chose the EVO because most people consider it lightweight and powerful while the 300zx only weighs a tad more but still more powerful.

1990 Chevy Corvette = 3307lbs...roughly about 100lbs less than the 300zx but the corvette only has 245hp yet the corvette is considered a lightweight sports car. pftttt....

well...if you to think of it that way lets take a look at it from another point of view.

in the 90's cars were made out of mostly metal...today, there is alot more plastics and more technology for lighter parts.

compare the 300zx to its competition, it stacks better than everything but the RX7 and there isnt much that is lighter than the RX7. the 300zx has every excuse to be what it weighs and Nissan went to great measures to keep the weight down aroudn where its at unlike the VR4. all the extra AWD crap doesnt weigh another 400lbs. its the things like the 15lb hood on the 300zx and the cast aluminum jack and lug nut remover.

and the same excuses you made for the EVO can be made for the 300zx. lets think glass t-tops qhich requires extra reinforcing, full glass hatch instead of a trunk lid, HICAS, etc.

i dont find it overweight for what it is and what it is compared to. the only thing NIssan could have done is put lighter seats in it, use CF body panels, or offer the TT in a slicktop.

you have to think about what your getting...alot of people wouldnt trade in their glass t-tops to save 200lbs. but this would put it in a very nice weight class that people probably wouldnt complain about but then they probably would be complaining because the Supra has a removable roof and the 300zx doesnt. like i said...i think i have valid points and i think people need to stop bitching about it weighing 3400lbs which isnt all that heavy unless comparing it to a civic hatch or something. if it want its weight people would be bitching more about it only offered in a 5-speed and if it wasnt those 2 im sure they would think of something else. :rolleyes:

my dad first taught me to shoot when i was six, with a little .22 ruger revolver. but before that, he taught me how to respect a gun: never point it at anything you don't want to shoot, even if it's not loaded; always assume a gun is loaded, until you yourself have positively deterrmined it is not; never stand in front of anyone when they are shooting; and of course, always remember that a gun is not a toy, it is a weapon.

i always follow the simple rules of gun safety, and insist that others around me do the same. guns are not dangerous in themselves. they're just chunks of metal, tools to be used by someone who grasps the reality of their purpose. it's guns in the hands of people who either don't respect them, or think that they should be used to enforce that persons will on others that is dangerous. i don't condone people who kill animals just for the sake of killing animals. killing pest animals is okay, in my opinion, as is hunting game animals, as long as you intend to make use of every usable bit of the animal, and respect the envronment in which you hunt. people who just shoot animals from the highway, or kill a deer, cut off the rack, and dump the body make me sick. guns aren't evil. stupid people who use guns suck.

and your AWD comment is ignorant. there are many AWD systems that weigh the same or less than a standard RWD set-up.
