Z32's dont have GT-R symbols..they have Twin Turbo emblems.

:disappoin...I thought everyone had grown past the GTR badges on anything other than a real GTR. A while back someone posted a pic of a mustang with, you guessed it, the GTR symbol... its all very sad! Maybe he was going for the extra horsepower the symbol adds...all he needs now is a Type R symbol and he'll be the fastest yet.

I like Marines. If cooked right taste like chicken.
On the "All Armed Forces Boxing Team" we didn't have one Marine. 2 Air Force, 1 Coast Guard, 3 Navy and 4 Army.
I have alot of respect for the Marines. Who else could the Navy get to protect the Captian of a ship from his own crew?

so i went and saw that new batman movie, and i must say i was pleasantly surprised. it was quite a bit darker than i thought originally, but it was an awesome movie. even better when a cute girl sits beside you and is afraid of bats:D there were a few parts that even kinda freaked me out... some of the 'scarecrow' stuff was pretty FUCKING MESSED UP... but other than that it was pretty good.

on another note, i had my 3 month review today at work and i'd say it went pretty well. figured out that i can get the holidays that i'm looking for, as well as got a raise.... should be looking into cars a bit more seriously now...

well, i know i have talked to DZ about my little problem but i thought i would keep you guys posted...

the motor that was shipped to me was a very clean and good motor but i think the driver's side turbo has a bad oil seal. first hint, when i took the upper plenum off, the inside of it was coated in a thick gooey substance. thought it was oil...it worried me but i didnt really investigate as of yet. . i cleaned it out and went my way. cleaned the lower plenum off real good...

well i kept thinking, the gooey subtsance didnt smell like oil and didnt seem like oil...just a sticky dirt. well, i had a whole week to ponder this and many other problems while vacationing. i had a sneaky suspicion that i had a bad oil seal in one or both of my turbos. so as soon as i got home i felt the turbo compressed air pipes...passenger side was just a little dusty. stuck my finger in the driver's side, i pulled out caked on oil and dirt. so basically i need to get my driver's side turbo rebuilt or get a replacement...but i think i am gonna call around monday and see if i can find a local place to rebuild both my turbos for a reasonable price. so the Z32 project is delayed once again. i guess thid gives me sometime to get everything else prepped for the engine to drop in so it shouldnt hurt me too bad. still look to be done by the beginning of July...

well there is my latest update of dissappointment...it is probably better this way. i wont have to worry about the turbos for a while and i will be able to get more money out of them when i decide to change them in for some upgraded units.

looks like my new wheels are gonna have to wait a few extra weeks.

i saw a 240Z track built car in florida while i was there. it was pure race car. role cage to the tires...on the back of a trailer, pulled by none other than a nissan titan. :D

i also saw an older lotus elise and an old delorian on my way back to the airport.

hey man, there's nothing wrong with 4dr skylines... just means you can fit 4 ladies in the car faster and without as much trouble.... besides, it adds to the sleeper look of the car for the true idiots that wouldn't recognize a skyline if it came up and slapped them across the face. (probably most of the people around here... the only skyline they'd recognize is an r34 gtr.... sad)

hey al, are you able to get those parts for anybody?(me :D) if i'm ever looking to upgrade the turbo on a vehicle of mine, it'd be nice to have a hookup to a quality turbocharger manufacturer :D

so i picked up the latest super street while i was at the airport...

it had a nice clean 240Z with an L28 swapped in. some works 15" deep dish wheels. very nice and old school...

it also talked about a conversation with the nissan vice president of design (Shiro Nakamura)...

the vice president stated that the new GTR will be offered to the US which most of us already know. he also said that the overall design is totally different and will not resemble the 350Z or current skyline (G35).

there is talk about the GTR being badged and registered in the states under the Infiniti line of cars but the vice president said that they do not know for sure. they also do not know what motor will be used...

it also talked about the new Nissan Sport Concept but it didnt say anything important. had some pictures...its alright. wheels are ugly in my opinion but im sure that wont be what it looks like off the production line if it makes it that far.

the only thing i didnt like on that 240z was that in the pictures they shot a bad angle in showing how the fenders werent cut under the flares...

that 800+whp s2000 is pretty impressive...the motor part was and i liked how that prelude was ALL custom CF. not only was it CF but it was a special silver strand CF.

so i e-mailed the guys over at import concern the other day, and now that it's monday they were able to get back to me and this is what Dominic (one of the owner guys) said about the skyline i was looking into...

"There has been some interest in this vehicle. The sale means that our
exporter has lowered the price. This car is not have this sale. There is no
pending sale on this car. We do not have anyone who is going to buy this car
at this point. There is no set time when the vehicles arrive during the
month. It can be at any time. The schedule is not the same. It leaves when
it fills pretty much."

prettymuch what i was expecting, but the reason the price is a bit lower on this car is probably because it has been sitting around for a while and they're wanting to sell it, either that or it's just on sale for the fun of it. i've also been consistantly emailing one of the other guys there about the 200ZR and this is what he had to say in the last one...

so i'm hopefully going to check out that car this weekend.... it's prettymuch perfect (no rust no dints) but it's got a bit higher mileage on it (220000 km... whatever that is in miles) and it's maroon... not that i really mind the colour, it could work out well depending on how much it looks purple compared to deep red... i've seen a few pictures of the maroon z's and it's pretty encouraging... other than that it's exactly what i'm looking for... hopefully the guy still has it until the weekend :D

Actually I'm going to make up a tripod mount with two legs going to the crack inbetween the hatch and the body and the third infront clipping onto the T-Bar. On top of the low rise tripod will be a two foot or so flag pole from which with fly a Jolly Roger*.

Nothing much, just getting everything prepped for this weekend, during which I am hoping to make some considerable progress. I was hoping to do that last weekend but instead I drove a F650 down to Salt Lake City, hopped a flight to Denver and drove a big ass International back to Washington. So between those two and last weekend (Detroit to Washington in 45 hours, WOO!) I've driven about 5000 miles over 90 hours and netted $1500, which helps alot in getting those turbos. There might be one to pick up in Ohio and a delievery to California, which would help alot.
