In a short course race, sure that's fine and dandy, but on something a bit more techinical and with high speeds like say the Nurburgring. Doubtful.

Oh ye of little faith. Even if the bike did lose at a place like Nurburgring the difference would be seconds at most. Don't underestimate the insanity of a 4:1 power to weight ratio or being able to stay in first gear til 90. The only place the car would have an advantage is at speeds of 150mph+.

If you ever do get on a fast bike you'll understand why people ride them. Even a moderately quick bike will make just about any car under $100,000 look like it's chained to a lamp post. And on a bike it really feels like you're going fast, more so then you'll ever get with any car that can be driven on the street.

some biker mag...they were sayign that the 954RR has the best midrange of any bike they had ridden to date which was in 2002. reguardless, the 954RR holds its own against many liter bikes and when you get that much bike underneath you, it doesnt really matter. gixxers make more power than most bikes but its the quality and ride that matter when considering the difference of hp on liter bikes. they are all insanely fast...does it really matter?

In a straight line they were bloody quick and they were comfortable too. To me they appear to have a bit more presence on the road and are harder to miss than the sports bikes. If i was going to get a bike thats what I would bet.... but I very much doubt I'll get one anyhow. I love my turbos.

Thats what I would want a bike for. To go stupidly fast, I have a car for. For the riding sensation, I would be after something comfortable.

yeah, i see them non-stop around here. seriously, they are all WAY too common around here...i dont care if it a custom harley that is stretched, choppers, or originals; they all sound the same and are formed from the same bike. i will give credit to some choppers, some of those around here are pretty nice but still sound like shit. :D

oh.. and if anyone was curious, the stock seat in an 88 turbo GL weighs exactly 70 lbs... that's after 18 years of shit falling off of the bottom of it too... stock i'd say they weighed about 80 lbs.... good god

actually i think that was the GLL seat.. it's fully electronic (no levers at all) compared to the GL seat which just has the lumbar and couple other electronically adjustable ones... fucked up my b-pillar good when trying to yank that fucking beast out of there... good thing you can't see it with the seat in there:licka:

ehh...my car needs work exterior wise, atleast to get it where i want it. im thinking stillen type III sideskirts, greddy rear bumper, kuruma Zeta replica spoiler, along with new moldings, 18x11 and 18x9 Volk GT-U wheels (rolled rear fenders), custom hood (i have one in mind that would look stock from almost any angle but still allow hot air to escape the bay), 99 j-spec headlights and taillights, B&B quad oval top exhaust, and of course stop-tech BBK. thats just off the top of my head...as you can see, the exterior will be an on-going project. interior is another project within itself but it my interior is in excellent shape so i will put some miles on it until i go crazy on it.

I guess the only aesthetic difference between the headlights is the shape of the inside, the glass covers don't have any nipples on them either... Ha... I said nipples. :)

It should be a really nice car when you're done, I have no idea in Hell why you'd sell it, I'd hold onto that thing for a least a year before I got rid of it... Enjoy it some!

So far, with the modifications performed above, the car has put down 182whp and 150ftlbs, untuned. The car's running pretty rich, about 10:1, so once I get it retuned, I should pick up a few horsepower... Might put down 185whp. I've been collecting the used TODA components for the head, and after I get my hands on the springs, it's game time. I'm going to build the head first, and get to the bottom end when I have another car to drive daily, and I can really spend some time on it. The head can be assembled in a day, so it's a weekend job, I can deal without a car for that time. But with that valvetrain, I've read of people picking up 30whp+ on stock bottom end, with a nice exhaust and intake (Which I've already taken care of ;) ). So 210whp+ is what I'm looking at on stock bottom end... Once I get the bottom end built, and the Individual Throttle Bodies on, it should be a really fun car to drive! I'm hoping for near 250whp once I'm done with the build, I'll be very happy with that.

It's already waxing most of the cars I come up against with it... We'll just say I stay in my league when it comes to racing. I haven't run the car at the track yet, but I ran a G35 with full exhaust, and intake, pulled on him hard by about two car lengths, so I'm hoping for low 14s when I run it.

Look, I'm building the ITR for FUN... Not fast, FUN. I could get the same power on 8psi, but I don't want to boost the R, I want it to be all motor. There's a big difference between boosted power, and all motor. However, once I'm done with the build, low 13s should be had, even though I'm not building the car to go in a straight line, road coursing is the goal.

The Civic is built to be fast. Balls out, 1,320ft fast. I'll post up about the Civic later. ;)

By the way... Just 850ccs Jason? Come on! The Civic's got 1,000ccs. :D
