Alright then try this: Dump some metal shavings in your oil. Immediately, things are going to be fucked up. But, it will sort itself out to a degree as they are passed through the system and the oil filter. You'll change the oil and everything will to have appear to have worked out fine. Except you'll never completely get all of the shavings out and they'll wedge themselves inside a rod journal, between the rings or even just build up in the oil strainer. No real outward evidence of long term damage, but it is there. If you kept doing it, you'd frag the motor. I don't see how people can believe that even though they usually feel like shit after smoking some weed or drinking, something that fucks you up that much is not going to have some sort of long term effect on them.

And yes, everything in life does relate to cars in some way.

And K3, I understood that you were kidding about the kids thing but it seemed funny. You anti all kinds of mind altering stuff or just synthetic, I don't see how pot could hurt somone physically although I do see how it can be an escapist drug and help somone forget about their obligations... Thats my biggest worry since I'm a known escapist and slacker..

the only problem with marijuana these days is that its not true grown marijuana. there is so many chemicals that have been added to the formula over the past 20 years that it is not a natural drug anymore. they have made it stronger and more potent by adding additives in result killing more and more brain cells with less and less uses.

go smoke pot on a daily basis from an average seller for a couple months and then come back and tell me how your doing in life compared to now. you wont think as clear, you will find it harder to focus, you will find your mind wondering during event you would normally be focused, instead of thinking about the future you will try to just get by instead of going that extra length to get something. trust me....and thats just pot, now throw in some coke, acid, heroine, or meth and you can only imagine the damage. pot effects different people in different ways but for the majority of us we end up not as "with it" as we used to be.

BTW: i did drugs from age ~15-17 so im not just making stuff up. i think back now and that whole time i kept telling myself i was fine and i wasnt changing but really was throwing my life away. i am going on 19 and just now straightening my life back out and getting on the right track. i still cant think clearly or focus my attention on one thing for as long as i need to. i regret everything...so i guess you can say it has a long term effect on a person. :dunno:

I have had long life friends drill their lives into the ground, just by 'chillin' out'... Its so stupid that I cant believe anyone thinks its cool.

Example... My friend and his step brother were screwing around one day, doing some pot and some shrooms just to cool out after a day of school... And five minutes later there is crimson spray all over the walls.

Jared's step brother was screwing around with a .45 and he shot it... Right into Jareds head.

He has a hole in his head now where they had to remove a portion of his skull that was shattered... They removed over 5% of his brain that was damaged... He has problems now, and he isnt the same person I grew up with.

But its straight, right? Its all for fun...

My friend Ryan... We grew up together from year one, our families have been friends for ever. He recently crashed his Saab 9000turbo into an 18 wheeler when he was drunk.

He died 2 days later in the Hospital from internal bleeding that they couldnt stop.

... And we were supposed to hang out that night, but instead he said he wanted to hit up the 5 kegger.

Girl I met a few years ago... She got wasted one night, and got gang banged by a local gang... Hence the term I suppose... She woke up naked, bloody and all kinds of bodily fluids on her.

Worth it still?

Even in Middle School these occurances were a weekly thing... People ODing on pills... Getting drunk and getting run over in the middle of the day...

And all of this just to fit in? Risk all of this just to be cool? To hell with that.

Yea I'd never do shrooms or pills and I dont drink because of shit like that and the fact that there is alcholism in my family so I'm suceptible. I still don't know about pot, I've stayed away from it in the past just because alot of stupid people I know did it and I didnt want to end up like them. Drugs, drinking, partying and all are to expensive to have alongside a love of cars I guess.

Guess that would depend on what is defined as "weird". Cleaning some engine parts, things went differently than expected and a small fire resulted.

Always keep that garage door open and the fire extinguisher charged.

Yes I have. Its a compliation of military tactics and strategy by the great chinese general Sun Tzu. There is general strategical advice (ie "20 barrels will be expended bringing 1 to the front") and then there is more specific pieces that are of little relevance today (ie formation assignments as they pertain to chariots). Interesting read and widely available.

well i was thinkin about basing a book around part of the book, the part about knowing your enemy, It will have stats for allot of the cars people like to tune and race like civic and other cars

i just installed my jdm shifter, shiter boot, and handbrake boot, and put my new mats in. i will take pics after i give my interior a good wipe down with armor all (think that is the name) and vacuum her out.

Next on the list, after Christmas is AEM intake manifold, AEM Fuel rail with honed stock injectors, TIEN Suspension upgrade kit, custom made exhaust (tuned down with 2 resonators, to avoid the raspy sound)

I also just bought my boss's 15" wheels for $100. Im popping the tires off next weekend, beadblasting them up, and sending them out to get powdercoated black.

So the Civics kind of coming together... I cant wait to see how it responds.
