Dude...rocker...how much do your parents REALLY KNOW about cars?! Get WHAT EVER YOU WANT, MAN! Like they'll REALLY be able to TELL!? Just take any definative badging off...would they REALLY know? In the beginning, I probably could have told my mom my car was made by Jeep and she wouldn't have known the difference...
lol my dad knows an ass load about cars, and is a great mechanic, so pretty much I'm fucked.
Georgey, the 90's offered an airbag but it wasn't standard:wink:

What I meant was that the majority of the 1990 versions had no air-bag option until like the end of the 1990 model run (I think at least)... the one you saw could very well be a '90 depending when it was made in 1990.

dude, you guys are all losers! :loser:
BTW: just to inform some of you that care (specifically probe beings he is really into my project Z32), my project once again has been delayed and i dont expect it done by spring or maybe even anytime soon. for once, i am not waiting on parts or money. i am waiting on myself to heal. doctor that performed the surgery put me down for about 4-6 months before i can officially be healthy again. it will be 8-10 weeks before i can even put weight on my left leg. sorry guys...i know some of you were really waiting for my project to get done. but the good news is that the whole time i am sitting, i can plan and save. so hopefully i will have even more performance than planned before. it is all a matter of me getting able to wrench again.
hope everyone had some happy holiday's! :D

what plans do you have for it via??? engine swap of course right???
As for the z thing; I have the opportunity to buy a 93' VR4 with 99K mi with an upgraded 6 spd tranny for 5,500... what I was thinking about doing was just buying it, and stickin' it in the garage all winter, and selling it come spring time for like 7 or 8 grand to buy a 2+2... any thoughts guys??

Well, I figured I could park the Z32 for some long maintenance and some upgrades which will leave me car-less! What better daily driver than another Z? I'm not really planning on modding too much since the majority of the $$$ will be going to the Z32. Maybe Header and custom exhaust and some wheels for the time being. In the future maybe an L28ET swap... or another swap I've been dabbling with in my head...
Psh! I say buy the VR4 and then sell it for way more and then buy a Z32 TT! But I would probably keep the VR4.... nice cars!

no wonder he hasnt said anything about what happened. i never really tell people how i fractured my wrist.
yep, fell down some stairs...i just didnt feel like explaining all of the injuries.
i was at work christmas day and i fell down a flight of stairs. it wasnt really that many but they were concrete. i dont know how i fell (if i missed a step, slipped on a spill, whatever)...
anyways, i must have hit just right. i will lit my injuries and then explain:
-De-gloving Injury on both legs near hips
-fractured left pelvis (totally seperated from hip bone)
-fractured right pelvis (2 hairline cracks)
-destroyed sacrum
-i also broke 2 of the knob thingys off of my spine ALMOST catching a couple nerves making me paralyzed from the hips down
degloving injury is probably the nastiest. my skin seperated itself from the muscle due from the trauma of the other injuries. then between my skin and muscle fills with fluid. my right leg is being taken care of through wound vacuums literally sucking out the fluid and in return keeping my leg together. this was because my right leg was in the way of putting in the plate and bolts to repair my sacrum.
pelvis is self explanitory
sacrum - i had to have a S.S. plate put in with a couple of rods and bolts to help my sacrum heal back together and keep it in its proper location. this metal pieces will stay in he rest of my life.
so...as you guys can see, my injuries were pretty in depth and severe. i had surgery the tuesday after christmas and was in that hospital for 20 days. after that 20 days i was trasnferred to a hospital closer to my home where i started rehab, which is where i am now. i have been here for 5 days but i will be released to home sunday.
i cannot put weight on my left leg for about 4-5 more weeks and total expected healing time is 4-6months.
so....enough about me. Z's rule all and i have a few tricks of my sleeve for mine! thou shall respect my Z! patience is a virtue, anyways, should be a fun ride no matter how long it takes to get running again. :D

holy shit man . . . . . . .
k3s, it just hurts me to just to read the description of your injuries.
i hope and pray for your full recovery.
you get down on me for being too nice, but i would give up 99.9999% of my niceness if that would make you heal to 100%, fuck the next guy i talk to in this forum. he is a nooB ricer retard.
you are still young, the body does amazing things when you are young.
BTW- i know it has nothing to do with the current topic of this off-topic thread, but tonight i licked whipped cream from a smokin' hot stripper's ass crack. it fuckin' rocked!!!!!! i get to wake up to go to work in less than 5 hours from now and the computer screen just won't stop spinnin'.
good luck to both you and me i guess.
:evillol: :licka:
Not to go back a page but I just read K3s post and damn, I had no idea. Best of luck to you man. Just remember next ask them to use a titanium plate or see if they could do a carbon fiber one. Help your power to weight ratio. And make sure they use ARP bolts. ;)
K3's sick? i dont know if your religious or not, but i am so i'll pray for you bud.
igor closed our ot thread and then posted in it twice, he just likes us better:p
holy hell jason, i didnt realize it was so serious. Man i really hope you get better soon man.
well i just wanted to personally thank you guys for your wishes/prayers/comments. i havent spent much time on here right now...but just as an update, i have been going through rehab and i am getting ALOT stronger. i am still no where near my strength level before the accident. i forget the name of the phenomenon but when you lay in bed and dont use your muscles for so long, you rapidly lose all strength. anyways, i am walking with crutches or a walker as of right now and i am doing pretty well, going up stairs and such. i can pretty much walk until the pain is too overwhelming...
i wanted to comment on dime's post about me being young. the doctor had told me that if i wasnt so young i would never make a full recovery from these injuries. but i laid on my back in bad for nearly 15 days straight, never produced any bed sores or anything so that was good. plus the fact that in less than 1 week in rehab i am walking on crutches and going up stairs. no one ever thought i would be making this much progress this fast. i am at the point now where i am just awaiting my 100+ stitches and staples to be removed and my weight bearing to be upgraded.
anyways, thank you guys! i will try to get on here more often. got to keep you kiddies in check

Yeah it's a 280Z... they came with an L28E. With the triple carb set-up I can use the same L28E and toss the EFI. For that other set-up I need an L28ET from a 280ZX which I was kinda planning on doing in the future

honestly i think it'd be cheaper just to drop in an l28et to start with, i'm sure you wouldn't spend anywhere near the 2k they're asking for the carbs... i guess it depends if you're building the engine out of the car or not...
