i have a question on my dyno sheet, could bad coil pack connectors be to blame for the notchiness of the power line? i know a couple of my connectors are part way broken.

That could probably be it Jared...

What I would do, next time you guys have some heavy snow, and the Zed is out of commission. Park it in the hanger, get yourself a new EFI Harness. And begin splicing.

So you avoid having to access it through the firewall.

Thats just an idea... I would seriously just suggest getting the engine pulled, and swapping it correctly.

And Jared... Who cares what section of an INTERNET website I moderate. Real life over internet life... Getting a 350Zed is more plausible, because:

1. There are plenty for sale in perfect condition all over my town.
2. There are plenty for sale with almost no miles, for fairly cheap in town.
3. No shipping involved (hence, there are no perfect condition Zed32's in town)
4. I dont not have the means to work on a Zed32. And all Zed32's require some form of work often. Work that needs special tools, or a mechanic.

I could really go on, but you get the picture Im trying to build here.

I also moderate the Koenigsegg section... Well I guess its kind of obvious why I dont drive a Koenigsegg. And not to mention I also moderate the 350Zed section as well.

Granted though. I think its kind of funny how things work in the PZC. I dont want to use the word 'unity' or anything, but thats kind of how it is. But yea, dont hate me too much for getting a Zed33... I dont see it being that big of a deal.

I'll get my perfect Zed32 someday... Just gotta find it first

somebody did a write-up on tt.net on how you don't have to splice any wires when you are replacing the connectors. plus, i dont have the money for a main wiring harness. but hey, its your car so get whatever you want. i guess i just see it as working on your car is part of owning the car. no matter how hard it is to work on my car, no matter how pissed i get, i will never ever regret it and i would never trade it for anything else. thats how i see it.

-Jared

ZedEx

Well Jared you get tired of it... And after going through 3 Zed32s... Im tired of it.

And for this stage of life (going to college, driving back and forth from town to town) and car that is easier to work on... Is ideal.

Thats why I keep saying, I wont get a Zed32 unless its in perfect condition. Lets say I get a Zed with lets say 100,000miles... Ok then what? Hoses start dry rotting, EFI harness starts corroding, gaskets are getting to their wearing point, the expensive 120,000 maintanence is coming up rapily.

So why not just buy a new car with 10,000 or so miles, and make life easier?

Just my reasoning behind it...

yeah you can just buy the little plastic connectors and then the old oens pop right off and the new ones slide right over and click on. really simple, and it will stop the connectors from sliding off just a tad. i have like 4 broken ones...

Just my reasoning behind it...

-Wes

well your reasoning sucks, fruitcake!!!! j/k wes...

BTW: if you dont decide to get that Z33, can you ask the owner or whoever if they want to sell just the wheels???
also whats wrong with it being repoed or what not...as long as it doesnt have a salvage title and its in good condition its the same as buying any other used car. repoed cars are usually fine, some guy usually pays for the car, keeps good care of it and all the sudden loses his job. well now he can make that payment so they come and tow it away. nothings wrong with the car, just a little bad luck. and obviously that guy cared about his car because its in excellent condition and people dont just drop $3000+ on wheels and tires if your gonna beat the shit out of the car...you know what i mean???

ZedEx
02-06-2005, 03:40 PM
Because the wheels have curb bite all over them, and some shitty Ebay 'JDM' shifter, and it looks as if they peeled decals off the drivers side door.

Looks like someone got the car, dumped too much money into it, and had to drop it... Im just going to get a stock one, and tune it to my specification.

For the dedicated purpose of sniping: no, of course not. The M4 was designed and is deployed as a general service rifle, mainly to be a better close quarters weapon then the longer M16A2. However, given even a decent quality scope and it's 300 meter effective range, it makes a passable close range sniping weapon.

Given a basic vocabulary, spelling everything right is a fairly easy task. Punctuation and grammar seem to have been on the receiving end of literary genocide but I'm not really one who cares. Mostly I just like pointing out things other people do to make myself laugh. :D

Any mistakes that are brought to attention by me are akin to murders condemned by a serial killer.

I built my heat shield today... Price break down:

12"x18" Stainless Sheet Metal 26gauge - $3.88
3 Feet of 1/4 Vaccum Hose - $2.18

I cut the Vaccum Hose down the center and fit it around the entire structure to reduce noise, and vibration.

It took about three or four prototypes templates made out of card board before we got the shape just right... Then layed the line out on the SSM, used some tin snippers, and voila.

Looks good too... Tommarow we're building the lower section, and a partial roof structure.

When I take the headlight out for the AutoxCross... Oooooo straight air feed :evillol:

http://img211.exs.cx/img211/3127/wheelwell8kz.jpg

Tommarow we're Dremeling a 3.5" hole in the fascia, and running aluminum flex pipe from that hole to that hole in the wheel well... Direct feed.

Im putting a plumbing valve over the fascia hole, so I can open it wide up, or close it off when its wet out.

O man I wish I had a Zed to tinker with still... A custom airbox on that thing would be cheap, and VERY, VERY effective.

Just think of this:

Take off your centerpiece. And fabricate up the following...

http://img214.exs.cx/img214/781/charger6rx.jpg

Ok its a bit sketchy... But its for illustrative purposes only.

Think about that sheet metal bent into an open sided rectangle. With the two air filters facing just like that in the picture, but inside the box. You would only have to mount the MAF on either side.

So you would just have to JB Weld (or Epoxy :D ) some steel tubing onto each intake tubing hole, so it has something the connect to.

Make a template for the MAF on one side, and leave the other side wide open :D

Figure out a good bracket point (the centerpieces mount holes would do great for this) and mount the box onto those existing holes.

Straight on pure air.

Material cost would be very minimal... Build time would be under an hour, considering you had the proper tools. And hey, you'd learn something fun.

Pretty fun project if you ask me... And if it doesnt work, you can always scrap it.
