Talking 1993 300zx vs 1992 Dodge Stealth RT

Do you think my friends 1992 Dodge Stealth RT can beat my 1993 300zx? they are both non turbo and 5 spds. The only after market mods we both have are cat back and intakes.

Re: 1993 300zx vs 1992 Dodge Stealth RT

Now think about it...

Stealth R/T has 220bhp... 300ZedX N/A (Naturally Aspirated) has 222bhp.

Stealth is FWD... 300ZedX is RWD. Thus when you accelerate in RWD car, there is force put on the rear wheels due to the kick back.

Force is actually being taken away from the drive wheels on a FWD car during hard acceleration.

The cars weigh roughly around the same.

So you do the math... Less horsepower FWD, or more horsepower RWD.

Re: 1993 300zx vs 1992 Dodge Stealth RT

i thought dodge stealth rt come with 222 hp
http://www-personal.umich.edu/~tyzhou/Car.htm
http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/u...id/2143#safety

single cam 164 hp
Turbo 300-320 hp
let just said stealth 220 hp and 300zx 222hp
2 hp extra at the crank but less power that the wheel and the
weight is the biggest issue
300zx 3400 pound 198 torque
dodge stealth 3000 pound 201 torque

do the math here man http://www.web-cars.com/math/qtr_mile.html

'' ZedEx ''' you can't do the math man. 300zx N/A run about celica gt-s . i remember there is a guy on this forum he lost to his neighbord Celica Gt-s , HE said because it have 6 speed . Honda prelude Vtec will give 300zx a hard time man . not mention Type-s Prelude or 4 gen prelude Vtec , front wheel drive heheehe. there's a guy his acura legend did 13.3s with mod front wheel drive ,(as people know that Legend Can't install a supercharger or turbo) (i'm not sure you know that)

Re: 1993 300zx vs 1992 Dodge Stealth RT

Its more equal than you all think, the stealth may be butt ugly but I think its a drivers race, hows the gearing on the 300s? My car is basically the same as the RT and yea FWD sucks but as long as his tires are ok and its not wet or realy cold he should be able to give you a good race. Don't forget to tell us the outcome if you do race him.

Re: 1993 300zx vs 1992 Dodge Stealth RT

1=3.090
2=1.833
3=1.217
4=0.888
5=0.741
R=3.166
Fd=4.153

Thats for a NA 91 3000GT but should be the same for the stealth.

Re: 1993 300zx vs 1992 Dodge Stealth RT

all honesty I dont think it matters much on the numbers. The cars are identical in performance numbers. The Stealth has a flaw in that its FF, my deciding factor on who would win would be the better driver with better tires.

no, stealths arent the same thing as 3kgt, only the vr4 is awd, the n/a 3k and stealths are both Fwd, and both blow

what you just said did not make any sense what so ever. please talk english and then maybe i might be able to understand. and where did the honda prelude vtec come from and the rest of the cars? also, a 15.9 for the 300zx? damn, must be a pretty crappy driver or there must be something wrong with the car. go back to your prelude with the vtec sticker on it.
