Well, I bought a new ride, as for the IS300 I ended up not finding one at all in the price range i could afford without like 120k on it, then the bank wont finance it. So I ended up with this, something I've always liked, and i can afford hah.

and a few other things im sure i forgot. Im happy with it and its comfortable like hell for a big guy like me hah.

looks good, never been a fan though.

the xB handles awsome...got one for a couple hours from a dealership to drive around..

You should've waited a little longer. The new ones are coming with a 2.4L engine according to an article in the latest Sport Compact Car (the one with Drift vs. Grip with 2 Scoobies on the cover).

IMO...the new ones look like complete crap...on a stick...like they're trying to hard to make it into a "tuner" mobile

the new ones are out here, i checked them out. The look of the new one im not too fond of. Plus they are about 500 more for a bone stock one than they were asking for this one, and I talked them down another grand on mine as I kept saying I could go buy brand new hehe.

yeah i liked the old xbs for a while when they came out..i wanted to get a white one lower it get a silver carbon fiber hood and throw like 4 15's in the back cuz its already a box and just make it a sound/show car lol the new ones look ok..passed one the other day..my brother in law was lookin at the new dark green ones they have with the premium deep dish wheels. i think the wheels are probly the best feature on the new ones and dont they have the camry motor in them??

some eclipse gts started revvin up on the freeway next to me last night in the crx..ppl love to think im rice lol..so i let him get a little distance then just drop into 3rd and flew right by..some older guy and his wife and he was just tryin to show off lol. so i blast by him and he tries to chase me..this goes on for about 5 mins and then up ahead i see a cop getting on the freeway so i get into the right lane and begin to slow down. the eclipse was like at least 200ft back and i see him pullin up cuz he thinks im topped out so i start waving my hand out the window for him to slow down since he didnt notice the cop up ahead..he finally gets the message and pulls up beside me..i laugh at him flash him the peace sign and get off at the exit..i easily could have let him get a ticket but im too nice

Foosh, what you did was like fly-by. See how easy it is for people to get Honda drivers to get on it. Hell, I can get any Accord driver to be a ricer simply by beating them off the line in the Jeep. They don't like that too much and usually haul ass by me for no other purpose then to do it, no matter if a cop is there or not.

lol ive been makin myself drive slower lately just because i realize im not in a big rush. i never get to drive around with other civics and stuff so i usually just have to lay it down when cars try to think theyre hot shit..

its the reason i got the legend..so i can just chill and relax when im drivin rather than havin to worry about racing around..that and i grind my teeth when i shift..i hate it..

yea, and had another ride I cant register in cali.. I just wanted something newer, that i liked, that wasnt falling apart like my 6g, and I could finanace and be able to afford. This ended up being it, as I didnt find anything else that peaked my interest that much. Im not looking to have a sleeper fast car or anything, thats what the 4g will become. The only thing I liked more was an IS300, but no one I could get one without hella miles on it already. I woulda been fine with that, but banks wont finance as long on high mileage, so I wouldnt of been able to afford it monthly.

oh, and Im ready for jokes... I knew they would be coming if i ever bought one of these lol.

all that matters is I like it so =P

I like the xB's... not so fond of the new body style, but at least they did put the 2AZ in the new ones to compensate for the ugliness with more power. Scion/Toyota's a good car though.... stay away from those shitty Lexus things. Granted, it's no 8th gen Si or anything.. but still good :grinno: Congrats either way. :bigthumb:

Well my trip to Colorado is officially over.... had so much fun there hiking through the mountains and such... unfortunately though, now that I've visited, I'm not sure it's the place I want to move to. Don't get me wrong, it was a great place to visit... but I can't see myself living there... so the search continues.

There's a guy that works next to me that's been with Lexus for 4 years and only just recently got approved for his pre-work and he had a seat in a hybrid class... but then he got pulled back out of it because he was missing another class/certification he needed... I already have that certification, so all I'm missing before I make Lexus Master is the hybrid training :icon16: ... :frown: I want a 4th gen. I'm thinking about selling my '94 CX to my friend and possibly buying a beat up pos early '90 something integra as a temporary car. I can't drive for a few more months, so it's not like I'd be missing out by selling it. And if I do buy the teg, I'll have some part and an engine (LS) to build up and put in a 4th gen. Obviously I'd prefer to get a crx > hatch > 4dr (as most would), but as long as it's a good solid decent car I wouldn't care. I've just had my car for so long and never did anything with it, I kind of sick of looking at the damn thing. It would be kind of stupid to sell my car though, I doubt I'd find a car that's in better condition. i don't know i don't know runaround

i went looking on craigslist and found a lot of cheap 4th gens...well i looked in NC, Va, MD, and SC...can find a cheap one local though

there are crx's for sale around me for 500-1k, just need body work. maybe one day i'll get another rex.

If I ever get another Honda it's going to look good (ie. no body damage, rust, etc.) and not be some beater POS.

generally when i'm out doing the yard work every evening i'm barefoot. for whatever reason 2 nights ago i was wearing my sandals, i'm walking across the yard and feel a horrible pain. i kick the shoe off and see a wasp fly out from between my big & next toe. i was extremely alygeric to bee stings as a kid...haven't been stung in over 16+ yrs. so i took benadryl (it was handy from the mosquito bites) and waited to see if i would start puking or stop breathing. neither happened :dunno: i'm not sure if:
a) i out grew bee stings
b) wasp bites effect me less
c) benadryl is enough to handle it.

i probably should have it sorted out before i get stung by a bee and my relaxed attitude has me dead on the way to the hospital....or something.

Are bee stings and wasp bites really the same chemically??? Science is definitely not my strong suit but maybe since the bee actually leaves the stinger in you it has a different effect than a waps biting you and flying away even though they feel the same :dunno:

I remember when I was little and my grandparents took me and my sister to 6 flags, a bee flew up my shorts and stung me on my... thigh :D Hurt ike a bitch and I had to walk around holding a big blue "sting pack" to my inner thigh like some sort of perv-in-training

Wasp and Bee poison are not the same (not the same types) sept that they both hurt... it is possible to be allergic to both, but being allergic to one doesn't automatically mean you are to the other.... is also possible to be allergic to one type of bee's sting and not another.

But now hearing this, you'd be happy to know that I killed a queen wasp tonight. Damn thing was 2 inches long, no joke. We set up 2 wasp traps in our yard last week, and they didn't seem to be working at all. But it may have gotten ahold of this wasp, because she was walking all around like she was drunk. So I got out my trusty can of wasp killer and went to town. I felt a little bad that it was folding over on it's self in pain, so I stomped that bitch dead. Wasps 2... Spoon 5

Yeah bee and wasp poison are two different animals, and you can be allergic to each individually..my friend is allergic to wasps and not bees, unfortunately florida has far more wasps..
