Running in colder weather, for short distances, say five miles. Is actually more beneficial for you. Your body burns more calories trying to maintain your body temp.

Ideal temp for me to run in is 40's.

Nice truck Kris. I'm sure it comes in handy where you are.

I'm moving within the month into a new house in the city... no more hour long commutes up the backroad highways and interstate. I'll be five minutes to everything and 5 minutes to nothing (ie. mountains and nature)...

I’ll still be in NC, but moving to a place I thought I never would…Durham…but this is the good part of Durham…so I’m told

So im finally going to take my car to the track, over spring break. I just want to see what it can actually do before I get my GS-R. Im going to have to run it, check engine light and all. almost 2 years and I still cant get rid of it, as the knock sensor taunts me from the change holder :( I make no assumptions of what it will run, but im hoping that all of the bolt on parts on my b16 werent for nothing. And that I am actually putting out some decent power. Hell, my exact intake produced an extra 13whp on a b16 alone. But who knows.

That's pretty weird. My wife and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary tomorrow (March 1st). The traditional gift for 5 years of marriage is wood and we're buying a house with brand new hardwood floors and wood themed walls in the great room... talk about irony.

BLU CIVIC

i would so love a garage :(

this house is a 4 bdrm split level with 3 bathrooms…the bad thing is that have the house is going to be empty b/c we don’t have enough furniture to fill the house…the house we’re in now is considerably smaller...and furniture is expensive :(

turtlecrxsi
02-28-2007, 04:53 PM
I know all about lack of furniture. We found some great deals at Sofa Express (way cheaper than most other places like Rooms To Go or Ashley's Furniture). For the time being though I guess the key will be to strategically place what furniture we do have so it looks like it takes up some space. Hopefully, the sellers leave behind the matching oak twin size bedroom set in the spare bedroom.

CivicSpoon
02-28-2007, 05:45 PM
There's some furniture warehouse place around here, that's supposed to be good if you're buying a lot of furniture; can't rememebr the name though. You have to pay for a member ship, that's like $1,000+. But you're supposed to get HUGE discounts over anywhere else for really nice stuff. So obviously it's not good if you're buying pieces at a time, but if you're going to be buying a lot you'd save thousands. And I know it's supposed to be a chain of stores all over the US.

On a completely different note. I'm probably going to be going to the Heaven and Hell tour in Ottawa next month. Should be a kick ass show. I'm sure not many people here know of the band Heaven and Hell; but it's Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler; all from Black Sabbath (though Dio was only with the band for an album or 2). And Megadeth and Down (singer and bassist from Pantera) are opening for them. So hopefully I'll be rockin' out to some Holy Diver and Rainbow in the Dark (the most badass song that has a keyboard solo), maybe even some Pantera tunes if I'm lucky.

Last night I saw commercials for Rooms to Go offering packages from $999.00 but they are probably the bottom of the line. Sofa Express had some really sweet stuff for a little more. We need a formal living room set and dining room set... maybe a new desk for the office. Definitely getting a standing tool box for the garage and possibly a small riding mower or beefier push mower so a trip to Sears will be in order... haha.

That Heaven and Hell concert should be pretty good. If Phil and Rex will be there that should be pretty rockin too. I had Down NOLA on cassette... haha. I thought they sounded like COC but I never really liked COC though.

Pretty decent condition. Why would they replace the back tires though on a FWD? If they bought new tires they should've rotated the decent ones to the back and put the brand new ones on the front.

Never try, itll give you a headache..

Haha. You are absolutely right.

My first car was 1983 Chevrolet Chevette 4-door 4-speed hand-me-down. I learned the clutch by driving up the road to my friend's house. I didn't want to skateboard and I had my license. The car stalled at idle so I learned how to heel-toe from clutch to brake with my left foot while keeping it running with the right foot. Then the waterpump seized and left me stranded in a storm at the end of I-195 on the exit curve. A cop put out flares and the rain put them out. I almost got rearended numerous times. Second car was a 1984 Chevrolet Chevette 4-door autotragic. That car made it to SC but killed an alternator on the way to NJ to visit and then another on the way home. Got stuck sorta where Blu lives now. I sold my stereo system to some junkyard local for $100. I was a glutton for punishment because I thought it was part of the family tradition having shitty cars...

Talk about Toyota reliability. I just watched a police chase where some gangster wannabe tried to evade the police in an old early 90s Toyota with a flat tire and did a fairly decent job of it. Well, the cops let him go as not to damage other parked cars and such. They busted the glass when they finally stopped him and the guy fled about 10 feet and his baggy jeans started to sag too far and they went Rodney King on his ass. If I wasn't so damn tired and went to the kitchen for a cup of coffee I never would've seen it. Wow.
