First real snow storm last night..Mostly just a nice layer of ice encasing the cars, took a awhile to get it off. More of a pain than anything.

was in the 60's monday

2 ½ feet overnight. We should be getting ½ft-1ft by 7-8pm tonight, with no end in sight (weather.com says next Thursday, but hopefully well before that).

This just happen an hour ago thought I'd share.

I figured I'd go sit in my car at lunch cause I was bored. So I walked outside down the lot to my car. While getting closer I automatically press the door unlock button on the remote. Not paying much attention I open the car door and sit down...Then realize I am not sitting in my car. It was the same car same color and year but not my car haha...My car was 2 spaces over. I guess some ass left the car unlocked..Funny just made me laugh.

Well, I'm not going to be getting a Fit right now after all... the dealership I was dealing with started jerking me around after they couldn't find a Fit like I want anywhere in the US... they started trying to sell me a new Si. I was optimistic they were going to try to cut me a good deal on it..... but nope. They wouldn't come down to where I wanted on the price or the interest rate... and they kept picking at me about "oh it's such a good deal", so I was like "alright, you just lost a deal on the Fit too... give me my deposit back, cause I'm not buying anything now."

Is a sign to me that I should just keep my car... I'll wait until the end of the summer and buy a Fit outright in cash or something.

Well they tried to talk me into an automatic a bunch of times, but there's no way I'm going to drive an auto.

But I think Si's really aren't moving as well right now as Honda intended, cause every dealership around here has at least 4 on the lot just sitting there.

This whole thing has turned me off to getting another car right now anyways... I'm just going to go ahead and put my down payment money towards a Bseries of some sort... and perhaps rear disk brakes.

So I get cut off by this big diesel dually on the way to work this morning. I could understand if the sun was in his eyes but the sun was facing the direction I was going not coming from. Anyway, I lean on the horn and my wife is like "slow down." Well, I wait for some cars to pass and then it's open stretch. So I'm leaning on the horn and about to pass and this guy in the dually belches out a ton of black smoke so he gets on it. I'm in the 1.8t VW so into the boost and no problem passing at like 75mph. Too bad for Mr. Dually who probably used about 2 gallons of diesel. Maybe he'll look both fucking directions next time and then he won't waste 5 bucks in fuel. Ass. /rant

So I'm on my way to work this morning and there is a truck and a Grand Prix in front of me. I see the GTP swerve all of a sudden cause a giant piece of ice fell off the truck in front of him and now the ice is coming for me..I didn't know what to do but I see the GTP loosing control. I didn't want to swerve to fast we are going like 60-70 miles an hour. I let the ice hit me off center of my bumper. It was loud, I was like goddammit. Then the GTP flys off the road dead center into a tree. Insane, I stop and help him out of his car and called the police. No one stopped I couldn't believe it. He was bleeding alot. Then a truck stopped to help us. I'll tell ya I'm awake for work this morning haha.

i was driving to Wilmington late on night about to fall asleep...i did everything in my power to stay awake...there was this car that speed past me, then i eventually caught up and passed him...he sped up again and i passed him...i look in my rear view mirror just in time to see him swerve off the road...my guess was that he fell asleep...i wanted to go and see if he was alright but i knew i would pass out

Yea its sad I always try to help, thats just instinct I guess. I checked out my car its not as bad as I thought, just need to buff out the left side of the bumper where it hit.

Engine swap has never been on my top list of priorities... especially not while the SOHC is still running so well, and getting 38mpg (good, since I work 60 miles from home).... besides, I have a terrible time deciding just what engine I'd want to put in my car... I argue with myself about everything from an B18B to a K20..... and that might seem like a no brainer, but I'm still a very practicle guy, and most deffinately not in a hurry to spend money.
Suspension is top notch though... best I can have, short of a full roll cage... adjustable everything (adjusted perfectly, if I do say so myself).

I agree with your assesment that this is just a sign that I'm not meant to get a Fit... Civic for life?

Also... I miss my wings... I think I'm going to have to replace them.

Killa_CRX, I know what you mean. I never swapped out my sohc because I got 35mpg and worked 40 miles away and commuted in it for a year. I could've done a swap later but the chassis just didn't seem worth spending that kind of money on.

we were expected to get 3-5" last nigt.....we got at least that, probably closer to 4-6" and it's still snowing. schools are closed for the 1st time in the 4yrs my daughter has been in school.
