They're doing a shitty job of training them, look how many have crashed for no reason. This war isnt being faught in the air anyway, its on the ground, and we're getting our assed handed to us because you cant fight gurilla tactics with geneva warfare. Anyone know of a free program (or maybe a not-so free one), that will burn divx and xvid to a DVD? Not that my dvd burner works anyways. But I have a bunch of videos I'd like to burn so I can watch them on a dvd player. Otherwise I'm going to have to unhook a bunch of crap to run a s-video cable to my home theater system (my tv didn't come with a port), and listen to the sound through my computer speakers.

For a while there were a few companies that sold dvd players that would play divx videos, I believe they have all stopped but you could probably pick one up on ebay for less then the average software is going to run.
If you want to convert them to play on any dvd player then here are a few things to read:
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_multiple_formats_to_dvd_dvdsanta.cfm
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_divxtodvd_2_guide.cfm
As allways, you can usually obtain this software from verious places for a five finger discount..

my aunt is about to get rid of her 94 LS Teggie for $1K to a dealer. I told her to find out exactly whats wrong with her car (all she can tell me is its humming) and she can make more money parting it out.
so who needs b18a1 parts?

TheSilentChamber

b18's are a dime a dozen, not worth it. But if it was running you could probably sell the car pretty easy.

I don't think i get a cut of any profits, I've just been recruited to do all the leg/finger work.
The car runs, but whatever this humming is seems to have her unnerved. She loves her teggie so whatever it is she must think is not worth the repair. But she doesn't even know what the humming is, nor has she taken it in to find out yet

Try to get her to define humming. it could be a bearing, it could be the air filter :dunno: what side & area of the car is the sound?
I know a fixed car yields more trade in value.
Dealerships call our shop and often offers to sell us a trade in they just took in. They figure it's easier to sell it to us broken than send off for repair.
One time I got called for a 93 Integra (130,000mi) they had to repo it states away. When they picked it up it was dead. I offered $300 and they sold it. Went home, grabbed an ignitor, went back to the car, and drove it home. :ylsuper: I think we put almost 20,000mi on it within like 6mos. Then I drove it down to my dad. He's been daily driving since. I put some eibach 1.75" springs....I lied and told him it was 1" :evillol:

I'm gonna try to get to her house before i leave for florida and check out this humming. No one in my family is very adept at automotive diagnosis. I know its high mileage since she travels so far to work each day, I assume around 140k. I dunno, I'll check it out.
Whatever car she put down for, she already is having second thoughts. She loves the sporty look in the teg so rolling around in a sedan or wagon isn't too appealing to her... I completely understand
