SHE LIVES!!!
finally got to spend some decent time working on the car today, since today is my day off... cranked, ran, drove around a while...... axle seals are leaking bad! but oh well... will get some ordered and put them in Saturday.
All in all, a more expensive undertaking than I had first planned... but oh well... you can't put a price on a labor of love!

$150 this week!? Dizamn. I put about that much in the accord for the month and if I wasn't primary transportation for half of tallahassee it would be much less.

He's moving. I'm moving too. I just filled up for $40 and made 3 trips to and from my old house and my new house. It's a 40-45 minute drive. I still had over 1/2 a tank when I got here to work this morning (also 40 miles away from old house). I wonder how many more times I'll have to fill it. Even though we don't have much furniture I'd rather just pack everything once and move and be done with it...

So the queen of the 4gs is now a thirty something. Welcome to the stage of life where you're not quite old enough to have a midlife crisis and not quite young enough to fit in with the twenty something kids who all think they have life by the balls. LOL

I just turned 25 last month... but I feel much older... working so much and having so little time to do anything. And the wife gets mad because I never have the energy to do anything :P.. but oh well... that's what I get for being with a girl 6 years younger. I remember having loads of energy AND time when I was her age... what the hell happened?

I'll be 33 next month but I feel like I'm 40 some days and other days like I'm the age I am. I never feel younger. Damn diabetes. It's not just about not eating sugary foods and drinks. It's about regulating my diet, exercise, blood pressure, dealing with mood swings, headaches, diarreah, etc. Yeah, smoking for over 12 years probably didn't help much either...

12 years smoking is a long time but I started when I was 17 and quit almost 3 years ago. I knew it was time to quit when I saw my brother (who smoked for 25 years) having major arterial surgery at the age of 40.

Only problem is, it's actually a DX transmission, and not an Si... but oh welll... that'll give me better milage for my daily 120 mile commute.

Well when it come to big items, so far with the Land Cruiser I’ve:

Hauled a complete bunk bed set with a box spring…was able to put the whole thing inside and close the tail gate and tie down the hatch

Haul a side-by-side fridge in he back…it hung out about 2 inches so I had to strap it down

Haul a scooter…was able to put it inside, stand it up with the kickstand down, and close the tail gate

Haul a washer and dryer inside…two trips

Put my sons bmx bike, my mountain bike, and my 2 daughters’ bikes inside without folding up the second row with the tail gate and hatch closed

And most recently, Saturday I used the hooks on the front to pull a Lexus out of the mud…she tried to make a u-turn in the highway median and dug herself a nice rut in the mud…had red clay all on the side…she didn’t care b/c she said it was her husbands car

But that’s just the big stuff I’ve done…wife said that buying it was a good investment…next I’m going to haul my cousins car from Wilmington to Raleigh…but I don’t have the wires to hook up the lights…gotta find a place to do it…mabey U-Haul

I've hauled everything in my Jeep to the new house minus the queen size bed frames, mattress and box spring, a dresser, 2 8' tall shelves, a 7' tall metal shelf, a lawnmower (had some gas in it), a kerosene heater, an 8' ladder, a small chair and a table. This is all stuff that wouldn't fit in the Jeep with the hatch shut. Everything else fit with the hatch shut. I made about 7 trips. We had to rent a 10' u-haul to make that last trip of stuff. We are now officially city folks. I can't wait to do my next oil change in the garage. Wow.

BLU CIVIC
03-26-2007, 03:09 PM
i'll still be doing my oil changes outside :( ...but i've got to clean it...hasn't been cleaned sice we started moving, and the dog started shedding in the back...gotta take it to Toyota to service the transmission and going to read the manual and find out how to service the differentials and transfer case...may try and do it this weekend
