The year ends back in Orange County, 2005 began leaving Orange County. From Santa Cruz to San Francisco to Berkeley and back. I have so many questions. So many relationships built and broken. I wonder where some of these characters are and hope others will stay around for a while. So many experiences. I call 2004 activist leftist hell world and 2005 economic alienating year. Everything has left me pissed, cynical, and bitter. Testing out of high school wasn’t thee answer. If you love school, you’ll love work… the saying goes. Obviously neither is good for me. I wonder about what I’m supposed to be doing, I assume there is somewhere to go. Everything seems meaningless to me and possibly that’s not even the way the question is supposed to be drawn. I only know how to relate to everything in this language, I am so unoriginal. So we can all talk endlessly about sexual behavior and food. My life consists of working 40 hrs at this point. I am empty. I think of the people who have come and gone. What does respect mean? What does it mean to have no respect for someone? Masturbating, getting high, and watching Godard have been the good times. I relate to Allen Ginsberg talking about getting drunk and never getting laid in Chinatown. Why do certain individuals make me so happy to be around and others so fucking annoyed. I was told that all I want to do is have intellectual conversation and other people just want to chill out sometimes. Maybe that’ll answer why people in Orange County haven’t been hanging out with me? or maybe it’s because I’m so culturally unintelligible? There are people I feel affinity with but even whatever particular group people want to stick me in, I am not the same. Am I obsessed with not being the same and being the same at the same time? How do I talk about subversion to society? Why is everyone so concerned with a road map of our new society? Didn’t anyone learn that Stalin and Clinton sucked? Obviously life must be absurd? I just think about what has happened in the past two years (17 & 18 yrs of age)…

-Going to jail for Earth First Action, meeting crazy wingnut leftists (commies and anarchists)
-Breaking vegan/edge identity before I leave OC
-Hanging out with forest kids during primitivist identity
-Losing virginity to 40 yr old man from internet world whom I had “friend” hangouts with for 3 months prior (this is actually a really big deal if you know the context of me hitting on almost every teacher since I was in 6th grade)
-Making out with a minister
-Rejecting ideology
-Having bad sex with a Gnostic Minister

So that sums it all up at the end. With all this absurdity why not just kill ourselves? Now many would point to me to read Camus but he asks if it’s ethical? I am not interested in that. Although I suppose in even asking if we should kill ourselves and I think I’m asking more should I kill myself, I am making the question loaded with ethics. I am asking if it’s reasonable. If I were a good existentialist I would say it’s up to the individual, your choices define you. But what if all the choices are false? So Sartre’s humanism is false to me, just like everything else."

Looks about as fun as the day I had yesterday: small recap;

broke engine hoist, motor still in car, dangling from flywheel caught on the bell housing (well theres a jack under it now supporting it), everything withing 20 feet of the hoist got showered in hydrolic fluid, about an hour after this the new engine arived, truck did not have a liftgate so me and the driver had to unload it off the 18wheeler by hand... well it was more of a controled drop. Finally I was going to check the plugs, wires had mud on them once they entered teh block, pulled the valve cover and the valve train is halfway submurged in water and mud.

when my engine came on the 18 wheeler i didnt think they could back it down my driveway. took him like 15 mins of maneuvering that thing on a country road lol. he didnt have anything to take the pallet off the back so i grabbed a ladder and rigged up an inclined plane. hooray for actually learning something in physics!!

TSC sounds like you got a shitty motor, and it sucks your hoist broke. hopefully youll get some better luck. do you have to go buy a whole new hoist or is there any way to fix the old one

I kind of want a turbo and have been thinking about a VW GTI but I don't know. Honestly, I can't make up mind and it seems like I'll never decide what the hell I want...

My wife and I commute to the city so I drive to my office and then she drives downtown to the main building where she works and then she comes back by my office in the afternoon to pick me up. Drove the CRX today. I got on the freeway and hit 100mph... it happened so fast... almost like the car has been wanting to do it. The VW doesn't exactly accelerate like that. My quest is to get a car that is as fast or faster in acceleration as my crx but has backseats and A/C and all that. Can Honda/Acuras break into the 14s without all the mods that I have on my crx? It would be great to own a Acura Integra with some variation of the B18 but I really don't want to have to get pulleys, cams and all that. Although, I can probably live with 15s and then go turbo later... a nice B18b1 with forged internals and while it's out a nice 9.5lb flywheel and stage 2 clutch...

you'd be cheaper doing a homemade turbo...keepng boost at 5psi on stock internals...could put you into 14's..

If I went custom turbo anything I'd be shooting for at least 13s...
