much like CivicSpoon i am not looking for sympathy but rather venting about the current sitituation...

4 yrs ago my grandma had a stroke while on dialysis. becuase she was left alone for 2hrs the dr didn't know how long it lasted or how severe. they told my family to expect the worst and gave her days to live. she slowly recovered and has been trucking along until about a month ago she had a stroke in the middle of the night & became very weak. she was moved to a resting home where apparently they had to move her to the hospital for dialysis. she isn't getting any better. my dad just called to tell me: they asked her to point to her face and she could not locate her head...she quit talking, they dont know if it's because she's lost the ability, if she's too weak, or she lost comprehention of people talking to her. technically she isn't hooked up to any sort of life support however, i guess the dr discussed with my grandpa to not give her the next dialysis which for her would be like pulling the plug on life support machine.

i fully completely understand why. however, my human nature is struggling with the basic idea of ending somebody's life.

Hondata ECU re-flash puts the power output closer to the integra typeR 220hp. And from everything I've heard, the K20 is very modification friendly.

I picked up the Si yesterday!!!! :D I freakin' love this car! It's so awesome! rides great, handles great, looks great..... and fast :bigthumb: ! I may be $20K+ in debt now, but I don't regret the purchase at all! It's my first NEW car to buy, and I'm thrilled to be the first owner of such a great car!

I'll be taking some pictures this weekend.... no time between now and then, otherwise I'd take some before.... but oh well, thus is the life of a busy mechanic. :icon16:

1st I want to be able to click my remote once to open all doors not just the passenger and drivers like it does now. I have to double click it to open all 4 doors.

The other things is I want to make it stop making the horn honk when I click to lock the doors. I want it to be silent.

Yea I think thats what the Vag Com is...The Honda was easy to do this change.

Well, I was going to take pictures of the Si today, but it's been raining non-stop since I got it.... is now dirty, and my stepdad wouldn't want his $2,000 camera used in the rain anyways :P... maybe by Wednesday (my day off) the rain will be gone.

What's the realestate pricing like in Oregon? And what about the richer, Lexus purchasing demographic? :icon16:

It'll still be about 2 years before I move anywhere else... I've got to wait that long for my tenior to kick in for my Lexus Master certification (have all the certifications, just not the time served)... at that point, I'd pretty much be able to pick any lexus dealership anywhere, and give myself a job.

it depends where you look in Oregon. where i live there isn't a lexus dealer. it looks like eugene & portland. portland is like any other big city...eugene is nice. college town :-)

as for real estate...this last summer i sold my 1500sq ft home for $143,500 to the neighbor's daughter. which was kinda cool because that family has lived on that street for 20+ yrs. we bought a 2565sq ft home for $195,000 it was appraised for $210,000. you can get a brand new track style home with 1500-ish sq ft for $230-250,000

Well, right now I'm considering Colorado, Indiana, Oregon, Washington state, and Montana in that order.

I just want to live somewhere away from people... I can commute to a larger area with a Lexus dealership or honda dealership or something... I drive 120 miles every day right now, to and from work..... but I'm just not liking Texas that much anymore, and I believe I'd like to try something new. And I love cold weather, and hate the heat....... we'll see what happens though.
