Seriously OT: The Real 3rd Thready...

I love the bourne series, the Bourne Ultimatum never sat well with me as a title. I would've gone with the Bourne Authority but I guess thats why I don't have a multimillion dollar movie deal

Very much like the Transformers..that crap was starting to drive me nuts.

Ultimatum sounds pretty appropriate. He's "coming home" as alluded to in the trailers... ie. He's giving the CIA an "ultimatum" to either let him be Jason Bourne or whatever his name is or get fucked standing in his way... LOL

If you look at the movies in stages it makes sense. First, you have the "Identity" crisis where amnesiac CIA hitman can't remember why he knows how to kill people in so many ways. Second, you have the "Supremecy" whereby the amnesiac CIA hitman still doesn't understand what happened but you killed his woman and he knows how to kill you 10,000 ways. Lastly, you have the "Ultimatum" whereby the amnesiac CIA hitman wants to turn his life around but hasn't forgotten that you killed his woman nor has he forgotten how to kill you 10,000 ways... LOL Makes perfect sense to me...

Oh and about the Transformers with the crazy camera shaking... well, it's just about 98% CGI and completely farfetched, though extremely entertaining.

Yes, I'm a Transformers nerd. I have an Autobot decal on the driver side and a Decepticon decal on the passenger side of my Jeep.

Yeah I know. But the smaller Transformers did make that cool sound when changing... haha. Optimus Prime was a big spectacle. I was waiting for him to get kicked around before he actually turned into a robot...

Yeah, the scenes in transformers were just too damn close up..like instead of seeing two robots fighting..im seeing a leg fly by the screen, and then an arm..and maybe a body tumble past..

Well on turbo and supercharged cars you normally get big increase with aftermarket exhausts and intakes but I'm gonna go look into it..

well heres the pics of the legend..little bit of rust but nothin i dont think i cant handle. im gettin the intake manifold pieces welds ground down by my buddy who does metal work tomorrow so hopefully ill get down to put it together on thursday. he still has to get me the other matchin wheels for the rear but i figure im gonna put some nicer acura wheels on it sometime. lots of little things to do but thats fine with me..projects are fun..its gonna be my daily but im gonna upgrade some things as i go. i hope the exhaust isnt too ricey..should be deep like the other v6 n1's ive heard especially with the 2.5" straightpipe but we'll see soon enough

Looks good. Youre getting 2 wheels to match the fronts or 2 to match the rears? The rears from the next gen fit the car better imo even though the fronts are the stock

im gettin the ones to match the front..theyve got most of their tread left..

thanks man..the paint job that was done on it was real half assed..oh well its gonna be on campus so somethin will probly happen to it anyways..once its runnin ill have plenty of time to slowly fix things on the crx..still gotta smoke those tails..or buy some more stock ones..stupid money..

I agree. That exhaust just doesn't fit with such a nice sedan. Perhaps you should look into a DTM style. I had an 3A Racing with DTM tips on my 944 with 2.5" pipe + cat and it sounded deep all the way to 7000rpms. :) Anyway, nice car!:thumbsup:

funny story. so greg's girl and i go out to pick up pizza in the legend. were sitting at the light waiting to go home when a new outback (probably mommie's) packed with skater boi's + 1 girl rolls down the windows laughing and says "wanna race?"....light turns green and i give them an easy 3-4 cars before i go. i catch them in 2nd (not much of a race) and pass them as i'm going into 3rd. at this point i slow down to let them catch up. they get up next to me and i say "okay, now you want to race to 6th gear?" girl goes "huh?" so i say it louder "now you want to race to 6th gear?" she says "huh?" and i reply "exactly, you don't have 6 gears" i then stick my hand over my mouth, point, and laugh at them.

the girl had no clue what i was talking about however, the skater boi's knew they just got punked by some girls :loser:

thanks for all the comments! yeah i mean the exhaust is alright..but it definately looks like it doesnt belong. its sticks out a little much..wonder if i could cut an inch or so off the muffler but that would probly change the pitch?? i didnt pay for it so itll stay for a while..id like to find either a remus or stromung exhaust but they cost a pretty penny.

ummmm, no :nono: for 1 i've been grabbing gears since half this forum was in grade school (i know, i'm old) and for 2 they made "r" none existant for the most part when you're in foreward motion. no, i do not want to test the theory if it is completely non-existant. i just know from driving the car it would be easier to mis-shift into 4th......which i have not done either :p

it is my opinion it is much more fun to not actually race but find a way to have fun at their expense when jack asses pull up and ask to race.

myself and my friends have better ways to settle the score than high speed action on the city streets. last summer in the shop parking lot we had races in reverse. 3 grand or less shift limit races...which are the best because nobody can spool, hit vtec, or use nos. and the ever favorite, length of burn out. the 97 gs teg owned that one, it could get into 3rd before it ran out of parking lot.

Lexus owners... That reminds me... the wife and I went up in the mountains a couple of weekends ago. On our way it was like 90* and pouring ass rain right at the border of SC and NC. We get right passed the rain and we see a Lexus overturned on it's roof on the side of the road coming down the mountain. We just went about our business going up through the mountain roads and having a good time. Then on our way back we noticed they finally got the Lexus back on it's wheels again and were loading it onto a flatbed. Needless to say, it was all fucked up.

Another Lexus disaster I caught was on part of "Pinks:All Out" whereby a turboed LS400 lost traction and spun around and smacked into the wall and it was pretty much totaled...

I try to avoid being near any Lexus... seems like taboo... :lol:

love the Altezza...took about 3 differend IS300's for a test drive...120mph and having fun...with the sales guy in the car

the sales guy always get nervous when i test drive.

On "Pinks:All Out" last night a dude in an 89 CRX made it to the final 4. He got beat out by a 71 Nova monster. The final 16 were all 10 second cars. Rich Christiansen said that this CRX was the best representation of Imports ever on the show...

The site that had that pic said it was Jason Goforth's turbo crx. However, when I saw it running it had the passenger side headlight missing. They did a quick shot under the hood and I could tell that it was either a B series or an H series. I didn't get to look at the turbo and it certainly didn't look like it had an intercooler. I tried to find more info. The cable listing said it was a "new" episode but they were all wearing jackets at Rockingham. Maybe more info will show up later...

Ok, so its been a week or so since I found out..and I just forgot to tell you guys.

But anyway, some of you know that I sold my crx. Well I got an email from the guy who bought it about a week later...asking me questions about the ghetto wiring and if I had any pieces and parts lying around for it...OH, and he also wanted to inform me that the day after he bought it he grenaded the block by throwing a rod straight through the side!!!! lol!

Im one lucky SOB.
