we came back from lunch to this...
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/25765Photo_092706_001-med.jpg
the guy in the shop next to us apparently didn't like this customer's parking job :spit:
while i was at it i also grabbed some pics of the dubb off my phone. we bought a new house so after many years of ummm, sleeping, the dubb had to move to the new house. the plan was to try and move it on a dolly since we only moved blocks away.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/25765dubb3-med.jpg
the task proved harder than expected. the tires were rubbing and heating up. even at 5mph we had to stop every block as smoke was pooring out the rear like a mad tite burn out :grinno:

thanks for reminding me of the nice dent my mother-in-law created
it's actually a sad story. jer tore down the engine, did a rebuild, and the engine has sat since. it is because we work on other stuff constently that we have no time for the dubb :frown:
for the record we don't only work on honda/acura, we just perfer to. we have customer's with cars such as 240sx, srt-4, eclipse, focus. for the same reason we don't just do performance...we also do sound and custom mods.
i'd rather do a stage 2 turbo upgrade on a srt-4 than say do a week's worth of knuckle busting "mechanic's work"...quality custom, not quanity piece work.

being sick sucks ass. Spent all night trying to get to sleep and trying not to yack. Ended up sleeping for 25 (non-consecutive) minutes between 2am and 3:30am, and stayed awake 'til 8. Slept till 9:45, woke up at 10:45, fell asleep at 11:30, and finally woke up at 1:15pm. So remember kids... when your friend tells you that he's sick, don't smoke the same blunt as him.

Oh man. Weren't you the one who was dying of pneumonia about a year and half ago? Wasn't that also from smoking from the same blunt as someone who was sick? Just messing with you man. I know what it's like. I got sick one time after hitting a couple bongs that got passed around between a few people I didn't really know. You should try Nyquil. It'll knock you out in no time... works for me.

Yeah, it probably was me who was sick. I get sick every year in the winter and the summer (though I was only sick for a few days this winter). I'm taking all sorts of meds now, and some zinc pills that are supposed to reduce the length of the cold (a gimmick to make you mouth taste like ass, not that I know what ass tastes like). But the worst part is that I got my mom sick. She told me to call my friend and have him come over so we could both punch him in his face :p

recap: friday we went to the track to see what this engine which ran 14.2's in a 96 ex at sea level:
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c262/88CRXDemon/Picture007.jpg
would do in this car at 1500ft + 75 shot:
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c262/88CRXDemon/Picture025.jpg
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c262/88CRXDemon/Picture023.jpg
he ran 13.3's on street tires. we were happy with his runs as even with a z-10 traction bar, he still had to deal with traction loss....which was never an issue in the 96 :icon16:
saw a super charged ls/vtec in a gutted 5g hatch on slicks dial in a 13.0 and then run mid 13's all night :dunno:
of course our friends tried to to talk us into running our civic...but it never happened. it needs a clutch and a better exhaust. wouldn't you know it on the way home for lunch on monday the clutch failed. the mounting plate that holds the spring broke on the back side :screwy: never seen that before.
w00t for excitement?!?!

playing world of war craft. j/k Anyone watch south park tonight (or last night depending on when you read this)? I was expecting something a little better for their first episode of the new season, but it was still pretty funny.
And I just got a link for a new Incubus song from their upcoming album...what a freaking bummer. It'll be the only album of theirs I won't buy. They need to come out with something heavier like SCIENCE or funkier like enjoy incubus. They sue their record company for more $ and then sell out, what a contradiction.
