That's pretty cool. My wheel was tucked but not that far. I have stock ride height but a little beefier tires. The rock I went up was huge and looked like it had been done before but the entrance point was pretty steep and I didn't access the exit point until I was already on the slab. I determined that it was probably too steep to come off at so I did a 3 point turn on the rock slab and came back down the entrance point facing forward. The slab wasn't exactly level either... haha... The Jeep has a pretty decent rear lower brace but I bet if I removed it the suspension would have more freedom to climb etc.

BLU CIVIC
05-29-2007, 09:50 AM
that's stock suspension also and i couldn't go over that rock b/c of that...couldn't do a lot of things over there b/c the spare is underneath

turtlecrxsi
05-29-2007, 09:56 AM
That's one advantage the Jeep has... spare is in the back (but it's a wimpy spare). I think this was the extent of my trail riding. If you ever get a chance to go toward Asheville, NC get off at the Zirconia exit before Hendersonville, and take Green River Road up to Pinnacle Mountain. I wish I had taken photos. I can't believe I live 30 minutes from these places...

the biscuits in the army
they say they're mighty fine
but one rolled off the table
and killed a friend of mine

the drumsticks in the army
they say it's mighty fine
but two jumped on the table
and started beating time

the coffee in the army
they say it's mighty fine
but looks like muddy water
and tastes like iodine

what a nightmare, but the Legend clutch is done. it has this crazy dual mass flywheel which is basically 2 flywheels with a bearing in the middle. it weighs at least 50lbs. machince shop says "yes we can resurface that we're doing a beamer right now"...get it back, put it in, it all feels good, and the second you start it there was a "clink" and then no go into the gears. take it all apart and take it all down to the machine shop: flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout, & fork. they look at it and they come to the conclusion it's our tranny. i'm not buying it. call acura they tell us to call the machine shop they use and ask for their guy. he says you can not resurface that flywheel :banghead: we buy a new flywheel and it runs great now.

the flywheel was $1300. generally that would really piss me off...but for some reason i'm finding it funny. clutch job parts ended up being $1900. i could have bought a Type R LSD tranny & aftermarket clutch :grinno:

i have all kinds of pics as we hit another interesting snag where we had to weld to get apart?!?!? LoL. i'l try my best to get those up today.

the Legend forum is pretty dead...i'll probably post up the detailed cost of it. other than a link to the service manual i found very little info on the net. i guess as much as the 6 speed is rare, the do-it-yourself 6 speed owner is even more rare.

Only realative to how much a person is willing to spend.
A Lexus LS460 is still as cheaply built as a Toyota Yaris/Echo... only difference is the price tag.

I'd like to see some pictures of that flywheel when you get a chance, ami.

in other news... it finally quit raining yesterday afternoon, and I washed my car today only to find that my stepdad took his camera with him on a business trip to Cali and wont be back until sunday evening..... oh well.

AudioGuy93DelSol

It is indeed a shame that post counts are no measure of one's value to society...just in case you were feeling like you've done something to make your parents feel like the last 18 years haven't been a complete waste.

Any of you seen the Futurama with Robot House? That's me every time I try to do a post search on a user and the server times out. Because of Mr. Moose.

i'll try to get up pics this evening....i got sidetracked. on fridays some wii finally came in, picked one up and got sucked into playing video games all day. yesterday jer bought a go-cart for $150. it was sitting on side of a house 2 blocks away. he asked if they wanted to sell it and the guy was game. so jer & jon spent a short time making it run and the rest of the day trying to drift it, LoL.
