after 8hrs of labor, a whole pack of razor blades, a 3m pinstriper eraser wheel, and a can of toluene, i finally removed all of the purple tint and godawful decals and that were covering my new 88 hatch.

Edit: Problem fixed. It was indeed the alternator. Wish Honda designed their alternators to be as easily accessible. (yeah...I did just say that :D)

Learned something on my way home: Aftermarket windshield moldings don't like going 100+ very much. Hit 110 on my way home from work and the bottom corner of the molding decided to go flapping in the wind.

haha very true. Luckily I have small hands, so it only took about an hour to change mine out on my '94 CX (including time to drive down a mile down the road to the local auto parts store). The Buick, on the other hand, took about 45 minutes, even with a 20 minute wait at the understaffed Autozone 2 miles down the road (and the associate that had trouble finding the right [& damaged] plug for the alternator/testing machine).

But time, out of the equation... Trying to jam my hand far into the chassis, scraping my hand on every little wire, and every rusted wired "bracket", was far more of a pain in the ass than trying to remove 1 bolt & nut that was directly below the top mounted alternator on the Buick. If I ever have to change the spark plugs on that damn thing, on the other hand... :tongue: Now if it was a H22A in a Civic, that'd be even easier than either :iceslolan

HP is killing it off...there was a clearance craze yesterday. Honestly, I got it to make af on the go easier. LoL, no joke. My palm Pixi does really great online in general but say it loads the chat, runs glitchie. I don't like to drag the laptop everywhere....this is the perfect happy medium.

Oh yea 4g4d, nice hitch, just checked it out the other day. A little more complicated than the one I have for my hatch, we just modified a truck hitch with some 3" angle iron w/gussets to the hitch and the factory tow hooks. Its a full 2" receiver I have used to pull a tow dolly with another ED, a 90 Accord and my 87 CRX dirt track car. Never had any issues with pulling any of it...other than the accord did weigh quite a bit more than my car, so I had fun on some gravel, but nothing major.
