So I went out of my way to get a hold of these old tubular style light bulbs for the lighting above my desk, souly because they look sweet. However now that I have them, I'm wanting a little more... thinking of painting the tips white just to add a little class, you know?

Hmm... I wander what the best way to paint a light bulb will be... I'd like to "dip" them in something thick, that would have a heavy coating on the bulb... but I don't know what would withstand the temp... Maybe silicone?

I think it I tip them in white silicone I could create a "DQ Curl" on the tip...

I'm not a big ice cream person, but because of getting a tooth pulled I bought a pint of Ben and Jerry's Cannoli ice cream. Then proceeded to eat the entire thing in a day. Then I shit like crazy when I got up today.

I had a similar situation. Its Girl Scout cookie time and I got 5 boxes Wednesday. Each night Ive shown restraint and eaten only one box.... and paid dearly in the morning

Clearly the elves would win. The girl scouts are too young and naive to know what to do to defend themselves against magical elves. I don't mean that to sound sexist, because I don't think cub scouts would know what to do either. Hell, they don't even know enough to sell delicious cookies to make money, like the girl scouts. The worst the cub scouts could attempt to do, is to simply tell the fairies they weren't allowed to be around them, because the Boy Scouts of America doesn't support homosexuality. (Too far?)

So I helped my friend work on the worst car I've ever seen, for the past few weeks. It's some young kid who doesn't know shit about cars, but thinks he's going to run 10's in the quarter mile with his ebay turbo kit, on an LS engine.

I'm absolutely shocked his car hasn't caught on fire yet. Out of all the car people I associate myself with (whether I want to or not), I'm the most patient when it comes to wiring, so I've had to deal with most of it.

First thing I noticed was the engine harness on the drivers side engine bay had a separated and burnt up wire. I took the time to check it out, and try to fix it. It ended up being one big power wire that melted 4 other wires. I cut back the bad parts of the wires, and added new wire as needed. My friend took over cleaning up some of the engine harness wires that were extended with butt connectors, rather than soldering the wires. He also removed a battery voltage gauge, to make room for a wideband O2 sensor. All 3 wires of the gauge had 3 freaking butt connectors attached to them, in about a 4 inch span of wires! I'm not joking. Clearly whoever did the install screwed up the wiring twice before getting it right.

Then I got to the Innovate wideband install. I took off the lower drivers side dash panel, to get an idea of where to run the wires and connect them to. Holy Jesus H. Christ what a nightmare. I wish I took picture of the whole thing, because my description will never compare to the reality of the situation. There were 2-3 red power wires randomly placed, that were either uncovered, or only partly covered...some with masking tape. Apparently there was an aftermarket tachometer installed at one point, that someone simply cut the wires to, and left them exposed, while still hooked to a 12V fuse under the dash. There is a shift light crammed against the gauge cluster, that I doubt even works, since it's apart of the old tach wiring. There is also an alarm, just hanging down to the gas pedal, that I doubt works, because there are so many unplugged wires & cut wires that connect to it.

Then the worst of the worst was discovered at the very end. I took off the under hood fuse box top. The main 80 Amp fuse for the entire electrical system was gone... well, gone-ish. The actual fuse plastic part was missing, but the metal parts were still there & smashed together to make a insecure connection. Two other big fuses (the big tall square kind, not the narrow rectangle kind), were destroyed. One of those fuses either was dismantled and welded it's 5 contact points together (via battery power), or was intentionally poorly soldered together.

I can't believe some one would buy a car and have some jackass turn their car into basically scrap metal, with a newly built engine with 10.5:1 CP pistons, Eagle rods, & a brand new Hondata unit. Truly a case of a $2,000 engine in a $2 car. Shit makes me want to throw up.

You should have set the car on fire and saved this kid the trouble of being inside of when it inevitably happens later

You can see the copper where the 80A fuse should have been in the center right side. The two 30A fuses in there now are the 2 that were replaced. The kid came by and took the old fuses with him for some reason. The relay that's missing in the top left corner is for his blower motor. I'm guessing he's going to want to install a new one if he plans to drive it some time soon. He didn't seem one bit concerned about any of this. We're leaving things the way they are.

He's talking about how he's going to "smoke" everyone this year, at the local weekend car hang out. Apparently he's been talking to local people, and telling them how he's going to race them and beat them easily. There's an Evo 8 sitting in the garage right next to this, and tonight he said he's going to beat it no problem. A mutual friend was at the shop, and after he left, immediately said that he's just going to beat on the car before it even gets to a tuner. We're going to make sure it's clear that as soon as it leaves the parking lot, that there is no warranty involved. I simply have no patience for ignorant ass loud mouthed shit talkers, otherwise I'd go out of my way to fix all his wiring issues & make it safe. He's not concerned with any of it, and I'm not getting paid to fix it, so I've washed my hands of this nonsense. I just hope an innocent person (i.e. not his d-bag friends that have shown up with him) gets hurt when this shit goes down.

If he had paid in full already, I probably would have removed the engine and set the thing on fire.

I once had a car given to me (ford escort wagon) because the guy couldn't get it to run right, after fucking with it for days on end I discovered that there was an auxiliary 12v cigarette lighter port added under the passenger side of the dash... where the ECU is... and was it fed with 12v from the battery? NOooooooo... It was tied into a red wire... which happened to be a signal wire coming from the MAF sensor. Which I guess was not designed to run the little air ionizer thing that was plugged into it...

On a side note, I was just offered some Obama Kush. Which made me giggle a little, what if all presidents got some strain named after them.... I cant decide if Bush Kush sounds amazing or disgusting.

I had some Bush Haze once before. To me, it had a very iron heavy taste, oily taste, and a very fibrous/almost a paper taste to it. It certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I gave it to a friend, who apparently loves tea, and in fact has a lot of parties based on tea. He absolutely loved it. He said it tasted like 100 year old scotch, Cuban cigars, and cocaine :dunno:. He even told me that when he was "on it" (even though he totally regretted it "morally"), it felt like he was dodging something very important. But that whatever was "dodging", would miraculously be covered up by burning of records. I'm still not sure what he was talking about, but I kind of think he was just some sort of puppet for all his higher ranked dealers.
