Fortunately all I have on my agenda tonight is attending my friends grandmothers funeral which starts in an hour. I'm sure walking in late to that won't be awkward, embarrassing, disrespectful, or uncomfortable at all........

If youre ever unfortunate enough to be in waukegan, il and come across Traffic Jamz (yes with a Z... that should've been my first red flag) then please go to their shop... then lower your pants and drop a deuce right on their counter

Wiring is cake man, just have to think about it and not over complicate it like everyone does.

I was able to wire up a complete light board (replica of all the basic lights a vehicle needs) with the 4 supplied relays once I learned how relays worked, which didn't take long. My instructor btw didn't know how to wire it up with 4 relays.

Wiring is cake, just take your time with it.

no, I have plenty....hence me still trying to figure out how to get out there, in april to be specific!

IL will be whenever, not specific.

It would be a site to have a line of 4gs there in April.

I still want to figure out why the back of mine isn't as low as it should be.

Anyone ever tried any of those "Potpourri" smoke-ables ;);) before? My friend was given a free 1.5g package of "Cloud 9 Potpourri/Incense - Hypnotic (http://www.domesticoddities.com/product_p/911.htm)". Him being a non-drug using person (other than alcohol & tobacco), he gave it to me :D I've heard and read a lot about this kind of stuff, but never touched it before. I've read various things, like it's a marijuana like high, a Cocaine or Meth like trip, or that it's a PCP like trip. So I'm wondering if anyone here has ever tried these legal herbs before, and what their experience has been.

I've never heard of or tried potpourri but most "smokeables" get my ears attention at least. The description sounds like something I would like to try but know I shouldn't

It's basically synthetic THC (JWH-018, JWH-073, CP47, CP-497, & HU-210), that is sprayed on to potpourri or bath salts. Most chemicals have been banned in the past year or so, in order to give the DEA a chance to test their effects, before outright banning them. So I have no clue what's in the stuff that's currently for sale, which is a huge issue.

I asked the same question on a different forum, and got some answers. A couple people said they had friends who used it and went to the hospital for lung damage and heart palpitations. Others said that they had no issue with it at all, and it was similar to a marijuana high, but with a bad comedown. So I decided that unless I have a drug test I need to take, I'm going to stick with the real thing, and save this stuff for a time of desperation (not likely to happen).

Here's some crazy stuff...
My sister in-law recently had her bank contact her about some strange charges to her credit card (atm card with credit card banking) a couple days ago. I didn't hear the whole story, but apparently someone bought a Dell computer or something, from somewhere in Europe. So she's dealing with all that junk. Now my dad just told me he did a google search for out last name, not sure why exactly & it's certainly not a common name by any means, and it led him to some Russian website (which he happens to be pretty fluent in). He found my brother's name, credit card information (#, security #, etc) as well as his address on there. He also found some poor woman's full info on there as well (name, social security #, credit card #, hotmail address, hotmail password, etc). Pretty crazy stuff. My brother's going to lose his f***ing mind. He's a computer programmer, for web applications (as if I know what the hell I'm talking about :D), so he takes internet security far more seriously than most do. It's crazy, because he refuses to pay bills online, and to my knowledge hasn't purchased anything online either. So likely it's some kind of major security leak from one of the very few places that he pays bills from. Even then it had to be narrowed down, because his wife was effected as well. But my dad said he's going to contact someone and let them know about the site in the morning.

Technology and internet = great. Every f'ing company having their info connected to an internet capable computer = epic f'ing fail!

happens, a lot. hacking is big business

CivicSpoon
11-26-2011, 11:15 PM
Yeah. I just assumed it only happened to stupid people, who use wireless internet without their routers properly secure/encrypted, use the same password for everything, and are generally careless with their info. I guess it's really me that's stupid (ignorant) for assuming that. :D
But now they are thinking that it was some store from Amazon.com, that they purchased a cellphone charger from. They contacted the FBI about it yesterday, who told them to contact the FTC. They said they'd investigate it... Which means they are going to investigate it, keep the info to themselves, and not inform the other people who have their info available on that site, unless they find it themselves.

Does anyone here use Linux at all? I used Ubuntu for about 2 and a half year (starting a week or so after 8.04 was released), but I really don't like the new "Unity" garbage. So I either need to look into getting a new variation, or I need to downgrade to 10.10 (which is only going to be supported until April). Anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer something with gnome, verse KDE, but if it's user friendly enough I'll certainly give any a try (assuming it has a "Live" version I can download). Of course, I'm not interested in anything that uses the Unity shell.

My decision to switch kind of comes at a good time. I started to install the latest update, had to shut my computer down, and now I can't even boot into the partition. Must be a sign ;) It just pisses me off that Ubuntu made this switch. I'm sure it works great on a netbook, or to users who are changing from Mac to Linux, but not for the regular user. I want to find the assholes who made these decision, to turn a light-weight & speedy operating system, into some flashy garbage, to try and please the masses, rather than their fan base, and kick them in the junk. This shit really brings out my nerd rage...

Tony
11-27-2011, 08:03 AM
I used Ubuntu at one point for about a year, but came back to Windows 7. Linux has become a lot more user-friendly in the past years, but Windows is still easier to get everything to run on. Plus even on max resolution everything is too big for me and takes up too much screen space.

I've been coughing and hacking so hard to get this crap out, that I irritated the back of my throat, so now I'm spitting out blood.
