Hey! with a billion hours of overtime, I should be caught up on all my bills this week! I think its time my mom and sister start paying for their own phones... this $235/month verizon bill is some bulllllllllshit.

I wanted to see about adding my sister to my phone bill since my mom complained about her data plan etc (a valid complaint since she doesn't even use her phone and gets a free line for her job)

I called Sprint to see what types of shared plans they offer and this was the pitch I got:

Lady: Well sir, I see that you have a single line plan of blah blah blah for $79.99 per month. We can add a line to your plan for only $29.99 per month

Me: Oh really!?! That's great... and we can share my minutes?

Lady: Yes, and your line will then be only $119.99 per month

Me: Wait... so my line increases to $119 a month total??

Lady: Yes, your line will be $119.99 per month and the added line will only be $29.99 per month.

Me: ......so then we would have to pay $150 per month for the two lines then.

Lady: No sir, the first line will be only $119.99 per month and the additional line will then be only $29.99 each month. So should we begin to add this second line for you?

Me: No, lets not do that

I feel ya. I'm paying for 2 smart phone data plans, unlimited texting on mine, 300 texts on my sisters (that she usually goes over by about 50), and a regular unsmart phone for my mom. With insurance, plus I have roadside assistance through verizon on all three lines also, it comes to 235 a month. I want to tell them its time to bugger off, but they both helped me out a lot while I was in college, so I don't feel like I've earned that yet.

Luckily I got grandfathered in on unlimited data when Verizon nixed it a couple years ago, I pay the same for unlimited unthrottled 4g data as people are paying for the intro 2gig plan now. Which is why I use mobile hotspot for my home internet.

From what I've heard, if you try to upgrade your phone (without buying it outright), you have to change the plan to an existing one (non-unlimited). Not sure how true it is, or if it is true, if you can just call them up and bitch until they give in.

I was worried about that too, it doesn't go away with upgrades, but if I were to switch plans or something then I could not go back to it. Even when I went from 3g to 4g I was able to keep unlimited.

Awesome, good to know. I'm on my parents plan, and we all have 3G phones. My mom initially got some 4G one (not sure which one specifically), but it was incredibly buggy, because they hadn't actually turned on the 4G capabilities in our area. She couldn't send or receive text messages randomly. We're definitely looking to upgrade all our phones when we're able to, now that everything is working.

I hate sprint and its nonsense 4G LTE network. Those losers set up LTE towers in the southern burbs before they put any up in the city or northern burbs where people actually live and work. Fuck you very much Sprint

Side note: got drunk last night with my favorite crew of white boys and was reminded of two valuable lessons

1) when your friend is way drunk you really aren't helping matters by letting him puff the magic dragon with you.... especially if he isn't a routine puffer

well guys, after being a loyal user of top teir android phones for... probably close to 6 years now, I think I might be switching to Blackberry... no longer am I looking for a phone with tuns of apps, customization, and rootability. Im looking for a phone that funtions well for business email, pdf, word documents, and internet- and does it well. The Blackberry z10 looks like it might be offering what im looking for, while the bb10 OS is still a little buggy... I like the phone. Im going in to give one a hands on test drive... then next pay day it might just happen.

Can I just go back to having a pager? That was so much easier

The SS's were quick. For a car that weighed 8 thousand pounds. Mine was an 04, got it at a repo auction with the dubs already on it lol.

Slap a blower and some pipes on a 96 SS and you can comfortably seat 12 while blasting past 75% of the cars you'll come across on the road (and sounding like the world is coming to an end)

If you have any money left over, do a D16A6 swap (if not already stock), build with cheap aftermarket Vitara pistons/custom length rods, a pieced together turbo kit, proper engine management, and fuuuuucking stomp any old Prelude (or most stock *insert random car here*) in a straight line for a fraction of the price. But if you ignore the important cosmetic parts, you're just a poser. :sarcasmsign:

Out of the 6 movies it looks like only Tokyo Drift is a massive fail. If you care more about cool cars, unrealistic stunts, explosions, and near naked chicks than you do writing and story then the FnF series is quality

Oh come on, the 1st movie was very realistic. Who hasn't had their floor pan unbolt itself when the engine is about to blow, from using too much NOS? Hell, who doesn't cut a hole in their passenger side floor pan and bolt down a replacement panel, to easy access to... something?
