Not to turn this into a political thing like some other threads did since Tuesday, but I do wonder if Barry O will use this second term to help decriminalize the sweet herb in more states, and maybe make legal in more states for personal use. In Chicago we can have up to a few grams (I forget how many) and only get a ticket instead of the cuffs.

I need to lay off for a while, or at least cut back. Working tuns of overtime, need to stash that cash.

I too need to lay off.... partly cause I need to spend my cash more wisely and also cause my tolerance is to the point that I barely even feel it compared to when I first started many many moons ago.

Kinda the same with alcohol. I can take in 4 or 5 drinks and feel nothing, take a 6th and 7th and feel the drunkness creep on, then at #8 I just wanna sleep. Gone are the good ol days when I got "good drunk" and could stay that way for hours. I suppose the fact that I've never learned to pace my drinking has much to do with it.

Great graphics, new cops and maps, all kinds of races to finish to earn cars/upgrades.... and NO IN-HOUSE MULTIPLAYER :disappoin What happened to the days when you could race people in your own living room instead of exclusively online?

I think its my skill level... like I never played video games growing up or as an adult until recently. I picked up several games but the only one I could get into was NFS ProStreet, and I got decently good at it. Then I seen ads for Most Wanted so I picked it up then instantly sucked ass. Instant frustration, the cars I couldn't get used to the way they handle, I'd crash every 30 seconds. I think my biggest thing is that I cant drive and follow the yellow line on the map to see where I'm supposed to be going. My skill level just blows :(

Well as a guy who plays a lot of different driving games, i can tell you that the feel for controls is different for most games. Even comparing NFS Most Wanted vs NFS Carbon vs NFS Hot Pursuit is way different. It took me (at a low-end advanced skill level) a day or two to get used to this one.

I dunno, maybe since you aren't the most avid gamer you'd have just as much fun with the last Hot Pursuit. I liked the driving better than this latest Most Wanted. More arcade style vs the more realistic style of Most Wanted. Plus you could get it for like $20 now. Online mode was wayyyyy better for Hot Pursuit too. The Most Wanted online mode seems kinda dumb to me.

I think I like games where your on a closed track, I don't care much for driving around a city. I gave Most Wanted another shot over the weekend, its not horrible, but I still cant get into it much. Everyone surviving Cyber Monday?? ha...

I celebrated Cyber Monday by calling in sick to sit on my ass for another day. To my surprise my cable was cut off soon as I got comfortably settled on the couch. After an angry call to Comcast and a couple failed attempts to get my mobile banking app to. load, I found out I paid the November cable money to my dam Best Buy (read: media addict enabler) card on accident. Genius

I'm of the opinion that my humble state is gonna be in trouble over the next 6 months cause it was 70 degrees less than two weeks ago and immediately turned to 40s.... then back to 60s..... then to 30s. This was over the course of approximately 72 hours.

At this rate, I expect a heat wave for Christmakwaanzakkah and then a merciless onslaught of snow from February through June. Eff

Worst holiday season ever!

Hurt myself cleaning my parent's fridge Thursday or Friday last week, getting ready for our yearly family Christmas Eve party. Bent down further, to reposition myself, after I was already kneeling down to scrub the bottom. Then I felt a sharp pain, and heard a pop, behind my bottom left side ribs. Still not sure what I did, but it hurts like a bitch every time I bend to the left, laugh (hard with a 2yr old nephew), cough, breath deep, or try to sneeze (yes...try to sneeze, because I physically can't because of the pain).

Fast forward to 11pm Sunday night. My mother informs me that my grandmother is being rushed to the emergency room, with trouble breathing. 3:30am I'm told they believe she suffered from heart failure, from a build up of fluid around her heart, but that she was doing ok. Monday, she's doing ok, but is going to stay there for another day for more tests. At this point the doctors there aren't sure if it was heart failure at all, if it was pneumonia, or a mix of both. At this point, Christmas is screwed. There's just no Christmas without my grandmother. 9:30 Christmas morning we get a surprise call that she's going to be released around 11am. 11am, we get another call saying she has to stay another day. The holiday is ruined for everyone. She finally went home yesterday, only to get sick with flu like symptoms by 6pm. Fucking horrible.

Last night, my parents are driving us home. Drivers side windshield wiper is clogged up with ice and snow; the big East coast storm has finally hit the area. My dad pulls over to clean the wiper, into what appears to be the back parking lot of a post office. For some reason, he decides to drive further into the parking lot to turn around. But there was no parking lot. Just a short straight road for the mail vehicles, and a huge lawn. What threw us off was that there were automobile tracks in the snow, that weren't that old. 1 hour later, the AAA truck gets there. The driver sees the other side of the now fading lawn tracks, further up the road. He made it about 15 feet and gets stuck too! It was another hour before the 2nd tow truck pulled us out.

Some much less horrible things have occurred too. I now have a weird twitching in my right arm that I can't get rid of, and Windows 8 blows. When it rains, it pours. Or I guess, when it snows, it's a blizzard. Two feet of snow on the ground from last night alone, and more to come. Grandmother is apparently feeling much better today though, which cancels out the shitty snow for me. I'm hoping that the next few days are completely uneventful. Not sure I can take much more.
