Shut your face minions! I do as I please... and also I've painted myself into a corner with this conversation and have to exit smoothly. And so, for those who are insane enough to tolerate this madness *cough* TSC *cough*, this is the basic story....... right after these mesages

....welcome back. So I was approached by this beautiful woman while out at a club for my friends 30th birthday. I got her number, called her a couple days later, and set up a date that weekend. So far, so good.

"Oh this is quite a riveting story Sir Acorn! Please go on while I fetch you some refreshments and lemon water"

...so we go out on the date that Friday and it goes great! I would up spending the night at her place (but nothing "happened" at that time). We hung out in the morning thru the afternoon and then she actually came back to my place to hang out with me and my friend for our normal Saturday football and nonsense. She stayed over (again, nothing "happened) and I took her home Sunday evening. What a great first date right!?!?

Fast forward to this past Monday. My spidey senses say something is wrong and she has lost a bit of interest. We discuss the matter quite frankly on the phone and she says that she has to admit she still has feelings for her ex of 4 years, blah blah blah, but she also has feelings for me. She just doesnt want to lead me on because she doesnt think she would be a good girlfriend to me if thats what I want (and it is).

We agree that I am willing to operate on a non-exclusive level without :boink: because we get along so well and have great conversation. According to her, "I wouldn't have sex with you if I didn't think you could be my boyfriend down the line but I don't know when I will be ready for that"

Indeed she is..... because this morning, I sent a text thanking her for being able to talk openly about things and coming to an agreement and not giving up on the potential of "us" down the line. I told her that she needs to realize how misleading her words and actions were and that I thought we had reached an agreement on the situation, but since we clearly hadn't that I need to remove myself from it. I have to give her back a bracelet she left at my place, but aside from that, I won't be reaching out to her again. Sucks, but such is life.

Just look on the bright side, you probably dodged a bullet there, maybe even literally. (Too soon for gun violence jokes?) I've been there before. Only, the girl I dated would show up late for plans, because she was having things "happen" with her ex, and then she'd come over to see me for things to "happen". She ended up dating some guy who was like 10-15 years older, got knocked up, and moved into his house, that he shared with his 2 or 3 other kids from different women. And she got fat.
