I'm trying to find a place I can get some JDM style bumpers... they have these little trim pieces on the bumpers that the USDM bumpers don't have.... ever seen them before or know a source to get them from?

I've looked at dozens and dozens of pictures... and some of them look like there is a groove they fit in and some of them don't... like the example pictures I showed look like they just fit on top of the bumper surface... but I can't tell for sure. If that was the case though, that would be all I would need is those 4 bumper wrap around pieces and the clips that hold them on... instead of the whole bumper cover.

me my mate and dad went up country on friday in my old 1.3 D13B1 civic DX, we were on the freeway for around 2 3/4 hours each way and we manages to get 337 miles out of a tank!!!!!!! HOW GOOD IS THAT 3 UP!!!

i just got 415miles to the tank like 2 weeks ago on my 4g4d (1991 dx 4door) half was highway and the rest was grandma style on the streets

Maybe it's just me, but I've been getting the server down message almost non-stop lately. I never used to have this problem until maybe a week and a half/2 weeks ago. I've emptied out my internet cache and cookies and still does this. Is there something wrong with the server? Maybe too many new people joining, more people visiting because of summer break, new forums added (is there honestly need for that??? what about a guys only forum?) maybe threads like *cough*this one*cough* ;)? I mean I don't mean to sound like I'm b*tching or anything because obviously this is a free service and could easily be turned into a pay service. But anyone know what's going on lately?

I like the lower wing... I need to take it off, sand it down and re-glass it because it's cracking a little bit in places.
My new stock bumpers came in this morning, and just went into the body shop this afternoon, and will be changed Thursday afternoon. After I pay off a few bills (I hate 1st's of the month's) I'm going to look around for a good price on some Type-R lips and some stock side skirts.

It took me two days to sort out the wiring mess that was the previous owners sound system and visual system and get mine installed.... and then a few hours later, I blew the crappy JBL speakers that the previous owner had up front. Luckily I had a set of infinity components laying around the house, so I'm putting them in tomorrow morning to make due until I can afford some CDT Audio components.
And OH MY GOD! For a sub, I bought a CDT Audio HD-1220... and I swear, I've never heard a 12" sub so amazing before! It's frequency range is unbelievable!

Wow am I glad there is this thread because I've got some seriously off topic venting to do. So off topic it's not even about cars, and I need to vent so bad i don't even care if anyone reads it or not. But I'm a little P.O.'d because I'm in a band (a drummer) and we're supposed to play our first gig this Saturday night and first off we're not ready. One of our members doesn't even know his parts off the song so he either plays the wrong parts and throws us all off or he just stops playing stands there and lights up a cigarette. That's breaking the cardinal rule of when you're at a gig or practicing for one you don't stop; if you mess up you pause regain where you are in the song and continue. So with 1 week until the gig and on our last practice before Saturday we decide we need to record a demo (so we can make a press kit so we can play at local clubs etc). So we end up wasting the WHOLE day recording, re-recording, and then recording our singer; instead of focusing on our main objective of practice. So the guitarist sends me the finished demo today with no comments on it at all, and i give it a listen. Come to find out they fade me, just me, out of a song on 3 or 4 different parts (the whole beginning of the song and right before the chorus). Now if I messed up the beats and they were way off, then fine I'd be ecstatic that they mixed me out; but I know I was right on and with near perfection (at the worst it would have been something only I would have noticed). So maybe some of you musicians out there can see where I'm coming from; I'm pretty p*ss'd off right now. I mean at least they should have the b@ll$ to tell me what the deal is when it was sent to me. If it didn't fit the song then fine it just sounded better without my part, but at least give me a frigging explanation. I mean it's not like it even sounded good the way they slowwwly faded me out either. We even had to take the time to make sure when I changed to the rim shots (haha I said rim shot), in the verses, that the mics could pic it up and adjusted the mixer for that. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what they have to say about my questioning of their decision and see how horribly we screw up on Saturday (and we will screw up). I'm done with my complaining now. Thank you to the mods and Igor for having this thread, so I could vent and not end up driving 40 miles and killing my bandmates.

he is right, we get the engine in here , INFACT a mate of mine has just swapped the engine...... however they are NOT identical as when honda gave rover the ENGINE design they didnt let them have the same injection system and the rover system is 5 BHP down in compared to the honda spec one, these engines can be bought for around $400 with Gearbox and all ancileries usually , well from what i hear anyway

Ummm - sorry Gav, but the two are not quite the same. The ZC is the JDM spec and the a8 is export (UK, Aust. etc) - but while they are both DOHC 1600s, they dont quite make the same power and the ZC has a bit more top end. The ZC started its production run in '84 for the JDM 3GCivic and CRX Si and continued through to the 4G JDM Civic and CRX Si while the a8 went into production in '88 for the export Aussie CRX and the Euro Si Civic and CRX. The a8 continued with the 5G Aussie Civic Si as well, but the engine management is quite different to the ZCs due to Aust having crap fuel in the '80s compared to the Japanese fuel.

Saying a ZC is an a8 is like saying a B16A and a B16A2 are the same - they aren't.

BTW - we got the a8 in our Rovers too. Off the top of my head, our Concherto got a derivative of the SOHC ZC as well.

Hi Ami, had a great trip :) Spent a fair bit of time with my kids and also with my fiancee and her kids (sucks when I'm over 800km away from them all). THe SiR has almost got 275,000kms on it now so it's about time to start collecting all the bits I need for a ground up restoration. It will wait until I find a '74 Nissan Skyline/Datsun 240K to have as a runabout as it will become my next project (SR20DET turbo goodness) once the SiR is restored.

Funny.. same kind of thing happened when I took my little sister a while back to see a movie.... I'm 22 and my sister is 12.... only my little sister ended up getting embarrassed, because the people at the restaruant we were eating at actually came up and asked me "Isn't she a bit young to be your girlfriend?" and my sister turned a bright red, even through all the makeup she was wearing.... I was just like....
