Well, xmas is nearly here, I dont care, I wanna see my nephew and go back to work. well that fried BUT that was not the problem, it is the ingnition switch it wont stay on after u start it so i got another one off my friend tonight, im about to go put it in right now :mad: workin tweeker hours and i gotta go to work at 8

i got my wife a princess cut 1/2 ct. diamond in a cadetral(sp) setting ;) plus like 2 other diamond rings and a band......but the engagement ring didn't set me back that much.....just have to do some shopping around....but something cool i did was have all her rings engraved....when u read them all together itz like a sentence :)

Sorry about her cheatin' Killa_CRX, but u r damn lucky she told you before you bought it. The diamond market is rigged and stupid (owned by the fartknockers at DeBeers), and you will NEVER get what you paid for it if you try to sell it. That is why good jewlers and sellers tell you, "get what you can afford, not the biggest thing out there", because it won't be worth NEAR what it will cost you.

I just got engaged in November..I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a ring - www.dirtcheapdiamonds.com - you'll love everything but their name ;) - I set up my budget and total price I wanted to spend - It was NOT 3 months salary either, that is damn crazy!!! :nono: :eek7: :uhoh: - and then went to all my local places to check out rocks & settings, bought a book (Diamond Ring Buying Guide, by Renee Newman), and did a lot of research. I sorta knew what she wanted (princess cut with a plain platinum setting) and then was able to get a stone that was still a good cut, a step up in quality (VS2, vs. SI1) and 16 points (.16 carats) bigger for the same money as a respected local jewler. I am all for supporting the local guy, but not when I am spending that kind of money for what I felt was not a comparable product.

The ONLY downfall to Dirt Cheap Diamonds for me was they are in MD and I live in MD too, so I had to pay sales tax....it was still a good deal. :bigthumb:

I was looking into getting a CR-V, with the second kid on the way, the civic isn't too practical anymore. Maybe putting a VTEC head in it, decent sound, maybe some other stuff. But then I said screw it, let the woman worry about having a practical vehicle. So the CR-VTEC is going into the civic instead.
