A bigger alternator? I dont know man, but if youre fryin your alternater, you might want to consider reworkin your system to run off an alternate battery or power source. Also, get a capacitor, I hear they work wonders.

a cap just gives you a constent flow of power, you still will fry your alt. look in the phone book for places that do alts. and ask them about a bigger amp alt. for your system

how many watts are you running to fry an alt. i had 2000 watts running on my focus for 6 months and my alt never died

Yeah, I dont know shit about car audio. I'm just glad I haven't had a problem with anything in my car's audio (knock on wood) so I haven't had to venture into that forum.

I got a pioneer ph6400 headunit, the gay one with the 3d organic disply, but the older one...ugh, andyways, and two mtx 6000 series 12's with a kenwood 1000 amp. I want to get something new sooo bad

Just an X-plod deck, 2 12" x-plod subs (aluminum cone), boss ripper 995 amp, audiobahn 4gauge wiring, cheap ass wal-mart pioneer speakers in the back, stock speakers up front. It actually sounds pretty good, but the amp definately isnt turned up all the way.
