Well my civic was almost no more today. I slamed on the brakes and they rolled about a foot infront of my car and took out a fence on the other side of the ditch. Guy didnt even stop, Probably a good thing, I had just baught a new 32 ounce ball pien hammer and it was laying in my passenger seat.

what i love is when AF goes down for a server change that takes a full weekend. i get blasted with im's...generally from names i've never seen before. which is sorta scary to think people come here and lurk in the shadows...they save my AIM for "just in case"

my other favorite thing is when the people who know better ask me what happened to AF. i tell them: when my site goes down do you im igor to ask what happened?

Yeah, it's a little chilly out there :lol:. This may sound gross, but you never realize just how much moisture is inside your nose until it instantly freezes once you go outside!! And you know it's cold when the saline on your eyes freezes... Thank god for auto-starts!

The funny thing about weather like this is that once we get back into the teen's & 20's it'll feel like summer - haha.

To make matters worse, I work in a big ass warehouse & the only thing separating me from the elements right now is a brick wall. Trust me, I might as well be outside because this wall is making the whole place cold.

I'm sitting here - literally - wearing 4 layers of clothes, and I'm still cold. Had to take the gloves off to type :eek7:

it's funny you said that. i was telling jer how cold it is there. he was telling me about how some of the modern auto-starts are programmable to start the car, idle for X amount of time, and then shut off up to 20 times before you reprogram it to go thru the cycle again. so basically you could have your car start and shut it's self off up to 20 times within say 24 hrs so that your car never becomes cold or vice versa for hot.

really that's only helpful to people in extreme cold or hot climates....but it's still a good idea.

if it were -45 outside, right about now i would be going into panic mode "shit....did i use the -10 antifreeze?" :banghead:

I'm sittin here designing the mounts for my new front end... if my fucking fiberglass order ever gets here. Bastards. Its going to tilt forward but also have quick release so you can either tilt it up to show off or pop it off and lay it to the side work on it.

shouldnt flex much any more than the factory stuff.

you sure, i would image if you want to have a 1 piece front end with a Quick lift off mechanism then you will only want it held on in a few places which will mean flex, it shoudl look the shit though!

it will be held on two spots in the front and four spots along the back, you reinforce the braud areas like the hood and it is all braced together, wont flex much at all. I'm making a fiberglass one first, doing all the stuff I need to do to accomidate the teg headlights I'm going to use and then at some point I'm going to do it in solid carbon. I'm not expecting flex to be a big enough problem to worry though. I'v never had problems with hoods flexing much.

yeh , seatbelt, lights, tyres, steering joints , bushes etc, there can be no sharp edges (sharp rust) , and the floor pan/underneath must have NO holes in plus emmissions etc
