Yeah man, that's cool. If I ever would've bagged my 'Zu I was planning on having a cover made for the notch. I had the Amigo rear seat in my 'Zu (with the walk-thru), so I didn't want a big hole in the bed if I had people riding in the backseat.

As it was, the truck never got bagged & I had a box behind the rear seat that sat right where the notch would have been...

At least to bag an S-10 it's all bolt-on. I don't want two projects, but I do want another mini, and I don't see the Civic going anywhere soon!

I've got a question. How many mini-trucks do you see compared to how many hooked up Honda's on any given day? Exactly. I started out with mini-trucks & have been into driving/building them for over 15 years. (See, now I fee old :uhoh: ). I've only been involved in the "import" scene for about 4 or 5 years now and I'm already tired of it. It's gotten way too out of hand... If I didn't love my Civic so much I'd be rollin' a supercharged Tacoma on bags & 20's. Not that any of you care...

Besides, I don't recall anyone telling 90civicracer & 91lxdreamer to take it to PM's when they were whoring up this thread. Oh yeah...they got their own thread to whore up now... :rolleyes:

I live in Nowhere's'ville, Texas... thanks to the fast and the furious, the number of hooked up hondas I see rolling around as compaired to the number of hooked up trucks and mini-trucks I see rolling around are just now starting to even out... trucks still out number the Hondas.... but thanks to 2f2f, starting to see Honda's fall off again, and American muscle cars on the rise again... trucks still in the lead :P and you still didn't address my question about 'are they all show?' cause most of them around here are. A friend of mine drives a tricked S-10... looks real good, but he doesn't know crap about the engine. Nor does he really care...

I won't go so far as to say that mini-trucks are all for show - but for the most part they are. I mean, there are plenty of performance oriented mini-trucks that hit the 1/4 mile all over the country, but they're not as popular as the bagged, body-dropped show trucks.

There isn't much aftermarket performance stuff out there for most of the popular makes/models of the mini-trucks you see. Then again, I've seen Corvette motors put in S-10's, 4g63's put in Mitsubishi's, 13b's put in Isuzu's, and 5.0's put in Mazda's. Anything is possible - of course - but what good is all that power if you're just cruisin'?

As for bolt-on's... Intakes, header's & exhausts are pretty much all you can do (unless you do some crazy fab work). Or nitrous. Then again, if you own a Toyota the sky (or should I say, the ground) is the limit..

slow down there turbo...nobody has ever been banned for whoring. threads have been lock, but nobody has been banned. if that were the case, Ali (myfirst4g) would have been banned hands down. he used to go through and reply so quickly that when you opened the threads page at least the top 20 threads said "last replied by"....sometimes he would get every single thread to say that :uhoh: :eek7:

Well... that's it... I give up.... tried rewiring my Civic to run OBD0.... STILL WONT FIRE UP...

so I am now clueless..... have NO idea what the problem is, since I've now replaced EVERYTHING between the fuel pump, main relay, and engine.

i love my EF and all but it really is the only Honda i'd ever buy other then ITR if you want something like that Get MR2 or 240 fastback much more fun.

I'm a Honda fanatic though... hands down. I've owned a 4th gen, 5th gen, 6th gen, accord 4th gen, and accord 5th gen... loved 'em all.

i've been hella busy the past week or i might have said something earlier. every now and again somebody is banned on AF and they think it's funny to re-register over and over again. sometimes they get friends to help. for whatever reason a similiar scenerio has started. the mod's are catching it rather quickly. however, these prize winners are posting all over in random spots. if you see somebody who registered this month with less than 5-10 posts mouthing off, please hit the report to mod button. the faster people do this, the quicker the offender is caught. i know you whores are all over AF, you could be a big help. it's kinda like a big "where's waldo?" game :grinno:

In other news:

Killa_CRX is now once again, the Killa with another CRX... Well... THIRD gen CRX... aka, Del Sol.

1994 Del Sol VTEC to be exact. I went to see it today... it's not in the best condition, but all it needs is some TLC... and a paint job. The paint on it is fairly new... but it looks like a Maaco job to me plus the body has some minor hail damage... I'm going to be stripping it down to the metal and painting it white... after I take care of those dents. But hell... who can find a 5th gen without dents and dings these days?
The interior is in fair condition... but again... something I intend to fix.
It does some aftermarket parts on it, but from talking to the guy about the car, I've found out he has no clue about anything mechanical... all the parts he has installed were installed by a professional shop.

Yeah dude... that's going to be one of the first things I do.... the steering wheel cover is just a leather cover that'll come right off, same as for the shift boot... and the paint on the doors and vents is flaking bad, so I figure I could take some Comit to them or steel wool and take that paint right off.
Also going to get an exhaust on it... the one he has on it now is JUST a loud muffler welded on to the stock piping, so that's got to go.

Even $300-350 is way too much. If I was going through the UK (on my way home from 'here') I'd just rent a car & go pick it up. Of course, that would be too easy & as such, could never happen :grinno:

I was only paying $200 usd for the seat. There's no way I'd pay $500-550 for it. I've found them in the U.S. for less than $200 & shipping (on average) was almost always less than $100.

The DHL rep. actually had the nerve to ask my wife if she was ready to set up the shipment (at the $1200 rate)! Angela was probably a lot more cordial than I would've been when she declined :lol:

Well... got some new editions to my shop today too.

My dad's uncled died a few months ago.... no big deal, I'd met him all of three or four times in my life. Well, he was rich... filthy rich. And my aunt decided she was going to let my dad have the pick of anything of my uncles that he wanted....
so he took a big uhaul and got things like, a metal milling machine, a metal lathe (big expensive stuff) and a huge tool box full of tools.... and the list goes on and on and on.... all in all, he got about $15,000 worth tools.
His uncle was a big gun enthusiast too, so my dad got most of his guns, including several collectors guns (one marked "One of 250") also some WW1 and WW2 issue guns, both American made and a few German guns... also he got a 3" WW2 britsh battleship cannon, and a french made morter (yes they work... he also got the dyes to make his own shells).... and his uncle also had all the equipment and tools required to reload spent cartrages and shells, and tools to make his own bullets.

What fun my dad's going to have, eh?... and I'm excited about all the new tools I get to use :D
