Cable is the best. I will never go back to dial up.

Cable is better than DSL only if you live a good distance from your service providers hub.... but I live right down the street from my service providers hub... and my DSL clocks faster than most cable I've used... I hit the server limit of 1.5mbps often.... my speed is usually limited by the servers on the other end of the connection :P

to be honest, i don't care if cable or dsl is faster. i'm not going for faster, that was never really an issue. my brother just moved in. his lady lives in another state so they chat online a lot. we've been trying to share the 1 aol connection. that is why i haven't been online much.

dsl is cheap nowadays....Bellsouth dsl is only $25.00...i'd get it just b/c u use the phone at the same time and the possibility of home networking

mine will be $26 thru our phone company...and we will be networking. might as well, aol is up to $23.90 these days

guess what all i'm out to test drive an Vovlo S60R after lunch and i maybe getting one. I'll report back and explain whats up when i'm back.

Make sure you test the manual Volvo S60R and not the automatic as it is detuned in first and second gears.

Also, reduce the stability control system (1 push) or turn off the anti-skid component (5 pushes), set the active chassis to 'Advanced' and really throw the car into a couple of corners - you'll be VERY surprised at the grip (it's probably the only SEDAN that outgrips the S4 and M3.)

I had my Del Sol parked out in front of my place of employement today... and a dude came in and offered me what I was asking on the sign ($5,200).... Only catch is, he wanted to pay it in payments, of $1,000 a month... I told him I'd have to think about it.
He came back a little later and said "Look dude, I'll make it even sweeter for you... I'll give you $6,000, plus you can hold the title to my current car and the Del Sol while I'm paying you off, plus I'll sign any kind of contract you want me to or need me to!" and I'm like "Damn dude, I told you the A/C doesn't work, and the weather stripping needs to be replaced.. and you still...?" he's like "Doesn't matter! is not a problem at all.. I just want that Del Sol!" so I'm like "alright."
We shook on it, and I told him I'd have my lawyer draw up a contract Monday morning. He was all like "Yeah, you can word it like to where if I screw you over or something, you get the car back, and the money, and my 240SX"... it was a nice looking 240 too..

I don't understand why he wants my Del Sol so badly.. but hell, if he's gonna pay me more than I was asking, it doesn't matter! :D

Well... him wanting to pay in payments makes me a little weary of the deal... but my lawyer will see to it that I get the best end of the deal in all cases if he does try to screw me over :) and I'm friends with lots of the cops and sherrifs here, so I fore-see no problems.
I'm also going to keep full coverage insurance on the car until he pays it off, incase he totals it or something, I'll get the insurance money too.

well the cab floor in my truck is now bodydropped and smoothed but i cant decide if i want to carpet it or paint it to match the truck since its smoothed. alot of the inside of the cab like below the door panels and behind the seats will all be painted to match so do you think it would be too much with a painted floor or should i carpet it? if i carpet it, its kinda of a waste of all the smoothing i did, ohwell

Well... it's a done deal! $6,000 for my Del Sol.
Did the deal over dinner... the guy paid for my food even!
Then I went with him on a drive in the Del Sol... he's not used to driving Honda's at all... he was shifting at like 5k rpm.... so a little through the ride, I took over driving and showed him what that B16A he didn't know anything about could REALLY do...
red lined it all the way through 3rd to 80mph... slowed down to 45... took him around a 90degree turn at HIGH speed (not exactly sure how high... my eyes had to be on the road)... car took the turn TIGHT, didn't slide at all... the wheels didn't even squeel (I'm going to miss driving such a nimble car)... half way through the turn he was going like "OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT! :22yikes: "... he was so hooked after that.

After talking to him though, I realise he knows absolutely NOTHING about Honda's... he didn't even know what VTEC was... I had to explain to him the significance of revving above 5k rpm :P... don't really have to do that in a Nissan, I suppose.
I'm going to type him up a whole bunch of websites tonight to where he can go and read and learn more about his new car and the engine.
