sick! got any pictures?
i have to do the back half anyway, cause the dumbass i bought it from bagged the rear and the notch is unlevel and all rusted and is dirty one side gets higher then the other so i need to redo the frame, i could go body drop but i dont want too
some day i will build a 01 - newer ford ranger body droped to the door
You know...I was thinking about that last night... I don't know if I have any digital pics of my old Isuzu. I'll have to look. I had a buddy of mine in TX that was gonna bag & body drop it for, like, $2k... but then I found the Civic & the rest is history. I'll look for some pics...
I've toyed with the idea of selling the Civic & getting a '95 or 96 Tacoma, but then I'd have to start from scratch...

An update on my hatch:
I have most of the parts I need to get her up and running either at my shop, or in the mail... all that's left that I really need is to find a P08 ECU for a good price. I can't seem to find any that aren't already chipped though.
Current Standings:
Body damnged is fixed
Projector headlights are about ready to go in
Clear corners about ready to go in
Clutch and flywheel in the mail
timing belt and water pump changed out
DC Sports ceramic header ready to go on
Thermal R&D exhaust ready to go on
OBD0-OBD1 wiring harness in the mail
What's Left:
P08 ECU (for the D15B VTEC)
New Carpetting
Blue and White Ultra Suede matrial for the interior and headliner
H&R Stage 2 Springs (next month)
Koni Yellow Struts (next month)
I've fallen in love with Bronze wheels
Electron Blue Pearl, complete color change (paid for once I sell my camaro)
I cannot decide whether to get the WingsWest body kit or not.
More to come.

I had been procrastinating big time, but I'm now hoping to have it up and running by my birthday, next month.

The coolness factor on this flash movie is through the roof.
Before you click, you must have the latest versions of flash.... and Dial up users... this will take a little while to load... but it is soooo worth it.

man...it was like 1 am and we're coming home from church on 264 heading towards p-town and we're driving in the slow lane. we're the only ones on the road just about and we merge to the middle lane just in time to hear alour bang to my right.....i look out the window and literally see a car upside down riding the guardrail with sparks and debris flyin. the car slides off the guardrail behind us and lands right side up in the middle of the road. i get out of the van and run towards the car to see if th guy's still alive and i see him walking towards the guardrail to sit down....i didn't even see him get out. he said he was ok but i could smell alcohol on his breath and e had to be no older than 20....there was like antifreeze and brake fluid all over the street andcars were speeding up and then having to hit their brakes hard and a few of them went sideways....his gas tank was leaking and was please don't blow near me...found out he hit another car then bounced off the center jersey wall, rode the guard rail b4 landing in the middle of the road....it was cold out here because i was out there for like 15 minutes helping out and directing traffic till the police came...
but i tell u what....that was like something out of a movie....like some stuff u see on die hard or somethin....
i tell u...drinking and speeding don't mix...his vigor is totaled and i'm sure he's going to jail

Well... an interesting developement...
I'm not sure whether to be mad about this or not.....
The place that I ordered my projector headlights from sent me the chrome housing Halo projectors instead of the regular chrome housing projectors I ordered.... and I'm not quite sure whether I'm mad about that or not... since I only got charged for the price of the regular chrome housing projectors.....
Think I should keep them or send them back?

$60 price difference.
The only thing I don't like about them is, they use H1 bulbs... which would leave any HID kit options out of the picture for me, without doing some major modifications to the light housing to fit some different bulbs in there.

You could still get an HID kit, but you'd have to get separate kits for the high beam and low beam. I was thinking of doing that on my car, but its hella expensive.

Check eBay. I just went to eBay Motors, typed in "HID H1" in the search box, and a bunch came up. Don't know about the brand quality, but there's a couple of Phillips kits on there, but they're among the more expensive ones listed. Maybe those would work?
Here's the two Phillips kits I found:

i have SO MUCH to tell you guys/girls. i REALLY wish i brought the vid. camera and not just the digi :banghead: we saw schweet stuff, meet cool people, and got to go to the retailer's parties at night. did more walking than i have ever done in my life...on avg we went to bed at 2am and woke up at 6am :grinno: had tickets and VIP passes to go to a party thrown by i can't even remember who but it was featuring Xzibit, hosted by coolio BUT we also had the Kicker party. by the time we left there and got to where we could get a taxi it was too late to really even bother trying to make it :banghead: that was a little dissapointing but what can you do? when you're on a trip and mr boss-man says we must be at this place at this time you kinda have to go. if it weren't for him there wouldn't have been invites to anything.
oh yea...and i tried to get thru airport security wearing 20 hole dr martens. it wasn't funny then but ROTFL now! lets just say i couldn't make it past the dectors so i was put into a "holding cell" because it turns out a few rolls of change were coming up as an unidentified mass of metal in my carry-on backpack as well. :icon16:
i need to unpack and so on.....be on the look out for pics and stories later tonight :ylsuper:
ps...don't let me forget to tell the story about the guy who plays for the Raiders who thought the boss-man was Ron Jeremy (the famous porn guy who claims to have slept with over 40,000 women)

Is anyone having any trouble with their computer? Seem to be running slower than it used to?
Mine was, and I couldn't figure out what the deal was... but then I had it figured out.
I had a lot of spyware/adware software piggy backing a lot of my programs.. and I didn't even realize it. These programs can be picked up pretty much anywhere, and at a lot of websites... some of them after they install themselves on your computer can install other programs without you ever knowing about it, track your movement throughout the net, and as I discovered, a certain company had installed a hidden program on my computer and was using it as a remote super node for secret file transfering (could also have been used to take over my computer completely or crash it).
It's hard to find these programs on your own, because they weave themselves in with programs that already exist on your computer, most of the time.
I went to www.cnet.com to their download section and searched for spybot ... downloaded and installed on my computer... when I ran spybot on my computer, it found 10 different spyware/adware programs hiding in my computer. And it went through my computer and deleted them for me in just a few seconds. BAM my computer is running SOOO much faster.. webpages are loading faster once again... programs are opening and closing faster than ever.
I Highly recomend doing this to your computer!
Warning: Spybot will search for files on your computer that are acting like piggy back programs, so be sure and read the descriptions of the files, because some of them may be windows update programs or windows media player programs. You'll want to 'uncheck' those so spybot doesn't uninstall them too.

Kazaa has tons of spyware in it too. Look for Kazaa-lite, almost the same, but no spyware, and it doesn't limit the number of search results. Also, e-mule is a great one.

Kazaa's spyware is only active when the program is open... but if you stay on long enough, some of the websites they advertise can install spyware on your computer. Also about the kazaa network, there was an MP3 destroying virus on their network that was piggy backing in through kazaa and scrambling any MP3s left in your download/upload file. I Think they took care of this problem, but I barely ever use Kazaa anymore so I don't know. (this virus was also active through kazaa lite since they use the same networking system and work the same)
Oh yeah... for anyone that doesn't keep up with the news, the record industry is no longer able to force internet service providers to give out your personal information so they can find you.... lawsuits against users who download MP3's have all but stopped entirely.

I used Kazaa for years before finding out about the spyware/adware. About a year ago I switched to Kazaa Lite & installed SpyBot. I also found tons of spyware on my computer(s) & SpyBot took care of everything. The most important thing is that you need to run SpyBot about once a week (if you download as much as I do :evillol:) - as well as checking for SpyBot updates.
I have a feeling that spyware/adware is what caused my (less that 6 month old) laptop to completely crash a couple months ago - even though I blame Ami for it .
I had read about a judge blocking the RIAA from issuing subpoenas to ISP's for people downloading - but to be honest, once the RIAA started suing (sp?) people, I dropped my shared files from over 2k to about 200. They were only looking for people that were sharing 1000 or more files to begin with. The only thing that sucks about Kazaa now is that it's hard to find new songs that are 'real' files. Most of the new stuff is just looped corus'. If you take the time though, you can find what you're looking for.
I've been getting most of my stuff from overseas web-sites lately - as opposed to Kazaa (unless I'm looking for movies).

I have Napster as well as Kazaa, and I've found this to work. If you do a search for an artist on Napster, it will bring up a bunch of songs, and the length of the song will also be listed.
Now, go on Kazaa, and when you search for that song, look at the lengths of the song. One or two seconds difference isn't usually bad, but if the difference is big (a normally 3 minute song is listed as being 7 minutes), then the file is usually fake or corrupted.
Now if only you could play/burn the MP3s you get from Napster without having to buy them.....
You know what they say, sharing is caring

The newest edition to my family of car parts.

Pretty cool, eh?
Even cooler is, I just called my local auto salvage yard, and they JUST got in a 94 Civic EX 'today'.... still in good running working order. So I'm going to go buy the distributor and ECU off of them... and then I will have absolutely everything that I've needed to get my car running again.
I've got all of next week off from work... and that's when the reconstruction of my car shall begin!
