Anyone else going to see charlie and the chocolat factory tomorow?

My wife and I are but not opening night... never on opening night...

Some woman in a neon hit my car when I was entering the parking lot to go see "War of the Worlds" last night. I'll forever blame that movie for this. She clipped the rear quarter panel and boosted my car up off the ground causing me to drift out up a curb and almost lose it. But I checked and the wheel is scuffed but spins straight. Now I have to really get this body work done.

-Sand and Bondo driver side rear quarter panel... no rust...
-Sand and either bondo or cut and reweld metal to passenger side rear quarter panel... small rust spot.
-Remove headliner and sunroof motor/wiring, weld in sheet metal and possible support beam, and fabricate or cut existing headliner to reinstall sun visors
-straighten dented driver side fender
-body kit with door caps? or new side molding
-sand, sand, sand, sand...
-primer
-paint

It's never going to happen...

I had trouble starting my car this morning. My wife thought she was doing me a favor by wiping the moisture off the windows. The Lil' Turtle is extremely jealous of my wife and was pissed that she was touching her. Weird... yeah, my car had like no spark. I was like WTF? It started up at lunchtime just fine though. I hope I have good compression and spark. What else?

probably your ignitor or coil in dizzy are going bad....it's extremely common.

bad ignition is the next common.

have you checked the ecu for flashes?

ECU is clear. I think the dizzy cap may have been damp. Ignitor and coil replaced with dizzy 6 months ago. Should I replace the bosch spark plugs and finally ditch the 8.5mm Jacobs wires for NGK or would it even really matter?

turtlecrxsi, i don't think that would help too much.

sometimes simply cleaning up the contacts on your ignitor makes a world of difference.

hi adrian  you would not believe how nutty it has been around here :screwy: to make it worse i switched my internet from the house to the shop and in the process downgraded from dsl to dial-up. can anybody explain to me why they call it 56k when it never connects over 31k? :thumbsdow

Because that's what it's capable of, but usually the phone lines themselves won't allow it to be that fast. Blame the phone company for putting up (or down) sh*tty wires.

Well, I could map out a whole automotive plan whereby the vehicle's primary purpose is to get my better half naked in the back on some country trail road near a lake somewhere, but I think I'll keep those thoughts in my head and simply contribute that a decent vehicle was for sale, not a honda, but whatever...

Hey guys, I found my mirror, it was behind my seats. When I hit that fence a while back It busted the mirror part out of the mirror, thought it threw it out on the side of the road somewhere. But then I was looking for something behind me seat yesterday and found it. My civic has been converted to mobil storage pretty much, only drove it like twice in the past month.

TheSilentChamber

I'm all for cheese ... and grilled cheese, and sliced cheese. But putting it in plastic wrapers is ... I dont like that. I prefer to go to the deli and get it sliced- no plastic around each slice. Its accually easyer because you dont have to take a wrapper off each one. I just dont like cheese wrapers...

CivicSpoon
07-22-2005, 07:55 PM
Yeah but if you don't use plastic in between each slice they get stuck together. I worked at a deli for a year and a half, and found that the best way is to put 2 slices next to eachother and a piece of plastic between those and the next layer.

the deli here slices it without anything between the slices, but its harder than most "sliced" cheese. I have seen them put like wax paper between them though.

lol.. that is hilarious. I'm accually a really calm person.

it's not completely done but that's because the story has changed. we have somebody intrested in the car. he's coming to check it out on friday. the cool thing is if he buys it he wants a complete color change which means we get to completely strip the car apart and put it back together. i know that sounds crazy to some people...it sounds like fun to us.

...it's rare you get somebody who says: do it right, not right now

Cheese (aka cheese food) in wrappers is nasty... deli (separated by wax paper owns...

That chick got smacked down... hard! LMAO!

I pulled the sunroof motor and headliner out yesterday in my crx... Nice diet. I just cut the wires, taped them off and tucked them in the A pillar. It be a PIA to try and figure out where it all connects in the fuse box... maybe I'll mess with that some other day. I can't wait to weld that sheet metal in place...
