with my setup I currently have, I push an amazing 188hp on a dyno :grinno:
not bad I think.... before we started I was talkin w/ my best bro... and I called 185-ish lol
the dyno owner mike was pretty cool, he had to play w/ the GA so it wouldnt skip shift! (thanks DHP!~) but once in 3rd... raaaawwwwrrrrrrr :naughty:
car is pretty loud when you're not sitting in it  tho it could be much much louder, I know this from running cat only lol :p
Ill have the dyno sheet here in the next week hopefully
Looks like if I get stage 2 stuff from MMS it comes with stage 2 pcm... should I buy DHP pcm anyway?

What did the Dyno run cost you Gir ??
So with 188 thats a 13hp gain for your mods.
Vipey you wont need to buy another pcm :grinno:
The stage II pcm is pretty much the same, just needs tuned after the install to benifit.
I think I found a dyno not far from me, need to check the SE since the last mods. When I just had the CAI & partial exhaust mod and it was almost 190HP at the wheels.
Now I bet its over 200hp :naughty:

I have SE trans :) 18hp gain :grinyes:
$75 for 3 pulls, which is pretty cheap in my book
yea vipey, with whatever PCM you get, you'll have to tune it, Id advise DHP over MMS, altho w/ stgII upgrades MMS will help... but the features you get with DHP are very nice.... and if you can build/tune off the DHP w/ the pwr tuner thats on pfyc.com ... you'll be like a superman or something... btw not all shops can tune our cars... found that out.... so the DHP tuner is actually a VERY good buy, you can do it urself or have a shop help you tune it...
Thinking about a few things, how I want to spend my money from my last job, and the value of the GA I have now and what options might be... I might be getting a 96 civic hatch, fully rebuilt internals with turbo.... it'd be a fun little toy.... and I just want to have more fun driving
Its a show car as well so its already nice inside with screens and whatnot... if I am able to buy the car, ill for sure post pics of it and see how good I can do in car shows...
big learning curve for me tho :icon16: I know nothing about import engines altho it cant be too complicated...
my friend might be purchasing an 93 rx7, VERY CLEAN...

Oh ya 170hp :banghead
Not bad for what you have spent.
Not a bad price for the Dyno I guess.
Did you get what the torq was raised to ?
Cute little RX7 :gay:
I am selling my pos import :grinyes:
Its all beat up and has mice living under the hood :angryfire
So you like that offer on that Turbo GA ?
Thats what I'd have to have for my SE right now.
I almost have that in motor work. :disappoin

If you buy a civic I will disown you from existence lol :p
Civics imo are teh :gay: lolz
Errr... Im sure you have a decent amount over 200 now xero with your engine mods... that's a pretty significant difference. If you can pwn stangs and keep up with stock srt4's you should probably be like 210hp or more... I'd hope!
Errr... so which PCM tuning thing were you talking about Gir? I think this guy can tune my car... he can do practically everything. How would someone go about doing the DHP mods to the MMS PCM?

eh, I wouldnt mind a boosted 300hp -ish civic  trust me its built. Plus it'd come with a nice interior ready for show...
yea its a civic but I love all cars really lol
About doing the DHP mods to the MMS...
You'd have to have a laptop, the dhp tuner, and both PCMs of the DHP1.0 and the MMS StageII and someone who knows what they're doing basically...
with the dhp tuner you can save the PCM files to ur drive and compair the two and basically tune it and add in the DHP features... that'd be the best way... even better if you can just buy the DHP PCM and tuner and have the MMS guy send a file to you on CD or something of his stgII tune but im sure you'd have to pay money for them either way.... well worth it tho

Errr... I'd say 240SX with SR20DET swap ftw... RWD and you can make those waayyyy the hell faster. Or get the skyline engine ;)
Or a talon... $6500 dollars and you'll be running 12's!
I just don't like civics at all because there are like 100,000 civics on campus and half of them sound like fart cans, and I can probably beat all but about 3 of them in a race.

Geez, I'm not online for a little over a week and now I have alot of catching up to do in the forums. Things have been crazy over here!!!! Since i don't have time to back track comments.... I'll just responce to teh last one.
I agree with you vipey, there are like a million civics on the road, and too many of them are wanna be's a few graphics, some window tint, an extremely abnormally large exhaust tip.. just doesnt qualify as a "true" modified race like car. HAHAHAH. For instance last night I had a Civic think that i was trying to race hm... as If i cared. So i dusted him....got up to about 60 mph, and he couldn't even keep up... hahahah ahhhh pathetic.
Gir: becareful with a civic like that though! something that highly modified will be gone in a flash. you'll go in a store come out 10 mins later and it'll be GONE! That's what happened to my girl's 2000 Civic Si She went outside to get something out of the car while at work. a half hour later she went back outside to no car. This wasn't the first time someone tried to steal it either! On top of all this the car had one of the best alarms on the market and it still got stolen! A very upsetting day i must say.. cause i actually liked that car.... :disappoin
have a good weekend guys

Civics are #1 on the stolen car list.
Easy to steal, with or without an alarm :sly:
Also MMS PCM's are tuned for his kits, you can modify his settings, but why? :dunno:
Probly something like AutoTap could make changes to the PCM also.
Nice G6 GXP :naughty:
WOW I just realized its Friday the 13th :yikes:

I've seen that G6 before on the web. I'm not crazy for the front grill, looks like a buck tooth rabbit or something. Otherwise.. SWEET! the one i saw though has different rims... better ones!
Civics are easy to steal. Since the first time my girls was ALMOST stolen, if it wasn't for her being a little firecracker that she is, and attacked the guys trying to steal her car swinging keys and punches and pulled one guy out of the car ( a like a girl that can defend herself :naughty: ), while our manager tryed to stop the car from being pushed:shakehead . The car MAY have been eventually stolen... now these guys weren't that smart since they cut the cruise control in attempts to stop the alarm. ( duh :banghead: ) the second time were more professionals, cause they scoped the car prior to figure out teh alarm etc... and they got it... that was it... but in both cases, the guys who did it were caught, the first time, those guys got 20 yrs behind bars for "carjacking" since she was on the scene.. and well the second set of guys... I won't got there.... they got theres that's all i have to say! hahahaa
Yeah great friday the 13th. My voicemail on my work phone has chopped up and cut off every message today!

interesting tips... I am glad I went with dual lol
its not that bad, you'll soon see how dirty they get.. and rust will start to form on the chrome lol and no matter how clean you keep them with some polish...they'll be dirty hahaha
my tips bug me too cause they stick out so far, from under the car it looked fine... from top? .. gah I could stab some1 if im not careful lol.. from the side... not bad not bad :)
WTF site is your piping from the cat back??? .. thats soo small lol
I look at my 2.5" and its HUUGE compaired to those pics
and ur actual muffler, the way it is mounted throws me off lol... just flat and hanging there... it works tho... my inlet I flipped it like how the borla exhaust sits... tucked in and away but mounted / slanted for some air to flow in there and cool it off... from the side you cant even see it except for the pipes coming down and out from the tips :naughty:

less drag this way :D
But yeah I'd have liked duals... if I had realized that andy's auto sport had credited me back my 80 bucks, I'd have went ahead and gotten dual tips. It makes me mad. Oh well, I think they're pretty cool.
These are polished stainless steel too... I doubt I'll see rust forming anytime soon :D
But yeah... someday I might go to duals. I don't mind these for now though.
Yeah it's 2.5 pipe, I measured it with a tape measure and it's exactly 2.5" maybe you have 2.75 or something?

Nice job Vipey!
Looks like they are a little close to the bumper...
That might melt this summer
I think the Dual tips sound better then the singles.
I have new tips for the GT, I just havent had time to hack the others off and install the new ones.
Does it rattle in the rear ?
Is that rust I see ...

But yeah... I'm getting my car's exterior done probably next summer, do avoid rust... and to fix all the stupid tears and breaks in the body.

If you have all that cash to throw around doing it twice,

Saturday it snowed (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c242/xeroinfinity/april1407snow.jpg) all day, then rained that night
Today it was sunny and warmer, but not 50. :grinno:

Well I'm still here and haven't floated away yet! and I will stress the yet part!!! Well for yesterday we got something like 7 inches of rain with another 1-3 inches worth of rain today, and winds up to 40 mph, and we still haven't reached high tide with the rivers cresting yet. Most of the rivers around me are above flood stage already. The biggest concern is when the tide comes in all the rivers are expected to rise another 10 feet above the level that they are at. Most of the roads last night were rivers in themselves, and a lot had water spewing out of the manholes. crazy absolutely crazy!!! :screwy:
So far my house is good, just a little water in the basement. The pic i took is actually from my attic window, another 4 feet higher I would be on the roof!!!

It also takes time for the rivers/creeks to reach thier highest peak, usually after the rain stops.

La Nina ....
If you say so .
The patterns IMO match close to what we had here in 96-97'.
I just remember it snowed on April fools day and I went mushrooming as a joke and found over 2#'s. I dont even like the things :grinno:
They poped right up through the snow that was still partially on the ground, kinda wierd ....
Any way it was nice and sunny here today so no complaints from me :)

I drove around with ugly 2.5" piping, crapy made dual tips on the SE for about a year.

Oh No, No more weather terms.... I hear it enough from my girl.... AHHHHH :yikes: Well We made it pretty good after all, except for some areas being completely under water... such as Bound Brook, NJ (http://blog.nj.com/ledgerupdates/2007/04/on_the_streets_of_bound_brook.html). which is the next town over from where i work! The pictures you see are no more then 5 mins from my job! Otherwise, just some more rain, very little wind.. and COLD! This is just as bad as hurricane floyd from 1999.
Enough about flooding...
I think some of my projects will be come go aheads now! WOHOO! I may get my Dashhawk for my G6, and may start on my 88 on fixing her up and getting her back on the road, ( which will be help for gas, since it's very fuel effiecent!) I'll be discussing all of this hopefully tonight with my girl... providing she doesn't freak out about money for the wedding. :banghead: the best part is that she suggested for us to get what we want now! HAHAHAH I love it! :grinyes:
For exhaust tips... I like my chromes on my 6, but wouldn't mind having the 2 dual tips on the back instead of the 2 singles :greddy2: just like the g/a had before!

I think it would also depend on what year G/P GTP you are talking about. Newer vs. older, Supercharged vs. Turbo, and of course driving skills. I have little doubt in my mind the Xi couldn't take almost all of them. Other then maybe a GXP grand prix.

Yeah his engine is pretty beefy now, I bet he could probably beat most GTPss (come to Purdue if you want to race some, there are approximately 13451236123 of them). I saw a GXP the other day... yeah that would be a close one. Those things are pretty beefy.

We don't have many G/p's around here or i just haven't noticed. :dunno: You are more likey to be up against a SUV or a import ( on the roads not on the track). On the track, it's a mixed bag, but mostly import (mainly 3 billion civics :screwy: ) and "muscle" like mustang, vette, camaros etc... I forgot what XI is running on his SE right now but I know it's quick... i think the older G/P GTP turbo Mclaren edition may put up a good fight. If I recall correctly they had something like 220+ horses at the wheels stock. I could be wrong, it's been awile since i've looked into finding one.

If thiers 13451236123 of them, I'd better bring some extra gas money:grinyes:
It also depends on what has been done to the GTP.
If they swapped to a smaller pulley on the SC :yikes:
Though thier is the other problem with SC's, they need time to wind up. Boost driven by the motor, so they loose a little right off but then gain it back as thier boost builds up. IMO turbos spool faster with no lose.

Where are you guys at with prices now adays? We are any where from 2.50-2.90 for regular ( depends on where you live in the state)
For the G/Ps around here for the few you see. most of them are slightly to heavily modified. Unless you find an older one (mid 90's) or a brand new one. Then they are mostly stock. Everyone likes to mod the 98+ model years.
If you want dime a dozen that would be G/a's for us! they are everywhere!!!

Though I see way more GAs but their range is from the 80's+. Does that say anything.......
Yes gas has risen drasticly here! I drive by in the morning its $2.85, by lunch its $2.89. Then later that night it might drop to $2.75 :screwy:
Most places I goto its $2.89 for regular 87oct. 3 something for premium :banghead: My car's like premium :D :grinyes:

Well for the G/a's we have tons around here. Most start at the 92-93 model year and go newer. Very VERY few of the 80 model years floating around. I don't even see too many hooked up g/as around here. Normally the ones i see slightly moded are the 96-98 models. Where i live I've been paying about 2.60 for gas at the moment, but it's been slowly going up before you realize it's getting expensive.
I saw the most aweful looking Cobalt the other day:puke: I took a pic on my phone, and the damn thing never saved it! :banghead: So I'll let everyone imagination run wild on this one. A base Cobalt coupe LS, in the fusion Orange color, with a Bright green body kit on the car ( the type that attaches to the exsisting bumpers), with the lip wing in bright green then a regular wing in the fusion orange. To top it off there was graphics down teh side in the fusion orange, bright green and black. When i say bright green I mean like this smiley ---> :grinyes: I have no clue what that girl was thinking... but she knew i was up to no good since i was pacing her trying to get a pic.

I saw a baseline civic with one of those giant aircraft aluminum wings the other day. No other mods at all except this monsterous wing that was probably higher than the car itself. It makes me lose my faith in humanity :disappoin

That dyno was my c16 race fuel tune. 15.9lbs of boost. I don't run nitrous, yet. It's a very basic build up. It's not complicated i just took the info from all over the land and applied it to my motor to what i could afford. The best mod ever was going from a t3/t4 to a gt30r. Clutch masters is building me a twin disc since after the dyno i destroyed my SPEC stage 3 clutch. Pitty. I'm expecting a mid-11 once the clutch is delivered. All the info is basically in my cardomain. After the clutch is in I'm doing a minor wire tuck followed by underhood pictures and up to date car pics w the newer paint.

Yes the T3/t4 is smaller then the GT30R. :grinyes:
Still seems high on HP for just a quad 4 & 15# of boost :dunno:
Was this the track you did the 12sec in the 1/4 ... ?

I wished I could get a manual for my 3.4, it would be a whole lot funnr :naughty:

it seems high, but if you look at the night i was tuning, as well as the dyno graph you can see where i started off at 350ish HP. With c16 I was able to add an extra 12 degrees of timing, which really woke this motor up. There was no knock on the car with C16, the car just was asking for more. Tuning man, it's the key, good tuning makes cars happy.

I don't race in a circle?
The track I race at is the Strip at LVMS.. www.lvms.com
the local websites for the fools that do hit up the Strip are
www.lvracingscene.com
www.forcedinductionlv.com
That's where all the local people go on and bicker.
My cardomain link does have the video of what the Strip looks like from the grandstands.
