today I was taking it to a old guy who could hardly give good directions to his shop so I could run a diag on the car and see what might be wrong... didnt even make it there.... it started to random misfire prob the worse it has ever done... my engine light was coming on and blinking... only code it was giving off was the random misfire code :dunno:

Damn :( Looks like you're going to have to send me your RAM air hood and PCM since ur car is broken :(

And that color is neat... but if I had those subs I'd have to hang myself. Such a waste of money on poor quality! Seriously, who the f@#$ came up with the idea of octogonal subwoofers?! Seriously?! You can buy some IDQ10's for approximately that price and they get louder and they are, according to about 2/3 of the elite car audio universie, some of the best sound quality subs that ever existed. And my sub just slaughters those Xplods in everything... if anyone has any doubt I invite you to lose your hearing in my car :lol: The difference being I play mine incredibly quiet 99.9% of the time unless someone turns the street into a competition hehe.

Wow I got sidetracked... anyway yeah that's a neat color. I'll consider that. I want to think about every fathomable thing I can do to my car and pick select things I want to do. Oh and another thing I'm thinking... I'm wondering if CJM in town can port and polish my engine... I mean it's at like 177,000 miles now, I'm sure it could use a fresh rebuild. If he has the tools (and ability) to massively port and polish the heads, manifolds, etc. (he already said he can make my TB 62mm I believe), then it might actually be cheaper to have him do that instead of me buying a brand new blob of heads, headers, pushrods, etc. I guess the problem comes into HOW I get good pushrods to go with the custom work if it's possible... ideas anyone?

what i would like to see is window tint that changes in the amount of light that hits it... like the glasses that change to dark in sun. I believe they are just coming out with this... if i saw correctly and it's very expensive.

I always change lanes when going thru the camera system to where I'm right in the middle so both of them go off and they see parts of my car.. on each camera

Dude I never really go WOT but I did yesterday evening when it was rly cold out... GOD I love the balls V6 grand ams have when it's cold with a CAI... it pauses for a second then just slams into VROOOOM mode. I <3 it hehe. I don't do it often because my car with 177,000 miles on it prolly doenst like it... neither does the transmission with old fluid...

I've seen that on the switch before! I would take that too... actually any tint would be great right about now! getting too hot in the 6 with the black interior!

License plate changer would be awesome... I have several dozen plates at home from various states that i would just use! you know NJ, NY, VA, NM, I could also get a DE as well... and there is always ebay! For the tolls though they make a clear cover that blocks your plate from being read at the tolls booths. They also make a spray on stuff that changes the reflective stuff on the plates also making it hard to read going through tolls. I simply use a clear cover with a frame... which in turns causes a glare that makes it hard to read the entire plate.

I love playing with people that don't know what you have. it's tons of fun. That's why i debate whether or not i'm gonna take off the GTP or not... But I'll decide that later! :popcorn:

My friend has an ungodly heavily modded SRT4... i pulled up behind him and I have to say my exhaust sounds better, but his is louder... if I get headers that would change :p

Oh yeha, I was gonna try to find the SERV on the PCM but it's toooo humid! :disappoin I will do it sometime after my surgery (surgery tomorrow yay), maybe like the end of the week or something. I really want that damn thing!

I hear many cars louder then my GA's exhaust , but they are V8 TA/camero's , stangs.... a few little 4 bangers but they hav no CAT's :rolleyes:

I did manage to go through some nasty towns up when i tried to get on the toll road from 65 tho due to wrong turns... i was legitamately fearing for my life... but I survived :p

I go under the knife tomorrow and Thursday guys, wish me luck :D

Could it might of been damaged the last time I drove it... I was going 45 in a 60 keeping the rpms right above 1k trying to be grandma easy on it so I wouldnt mess anything up

I think within the next day or so I'm gonna order my Dashhawk gauge for my 6. It'll be nice to see how things are running in the background, such as temps and airflows and running parameters!!!

na grfnkl, I would think that the PCM timing that might of been placed by DHP wouldnt have any major affect with new coilpacks that only do a stronger spark... I put those things on and I FELT the difference in idle which is good, and it was doing it's best to run smooth but theres something else going on far deeper than coilpacks...

it drives, just not very well.... or very fast lol, and it shudders when accel and rpms dont seem like they want to go past 1200-1500 ish... I only drove it down the street and turned it around but even that was like... Ahhhh, it's still f**ked lol

I have a guy comin out w/ his crazy scanner... from what he told me it sounds like a GMTechII, just without the PCM programming *whew* .. I let em know on the phone... NO PCM WRITES lol

yay my face is numb yet again, and now i cant bite into anything for 6 weeks. I have stitches that I feel with my tongue every time i talk which CREEPS ME OUT LIKE NONE OTHER, and I have had ZERO to eat or drink today, PLUS I can't get my permanent bridge until at the earliest THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES IN WEST LAFAYETTE which is a 2 1/2 drive from my real home where I am now (Granger).... Oh, and my car is spitting out black smoke apparently, so I'm going to get my oil changed NOW instead of waiting for my trans fluid to get in. My friend's dad said he'd change the oil for me since I don't have the tools to do it myself, so that's awesome. We're going out to get the royal purple here in like 30 min. I'm guessing he volunteered to do it because I installed a pair of speakers in my friend's truck yesterday (they sound fooking AWESOME), so he wants to return the favor. WOOT!

dont be an idiot like me and break the retaining tab that holds the plastic piece that covers ur PCM. flat head the center out all the way, then pull the tab out.. and it'll slip right out. go fig lol

my own problems, It's cyl misfire for sure. lucky #3, pretty bad... and a little bit on the others only when rev but #3 for sure. we checked the spark on the new MSD packs .. DAMN lol, thats a hot burn goin on. So first things first. Going to get pricing of new stock injectors from autozone tomorrow, I do believe that they'll be OK for the future application of MMS P&P intake, + cam & rods and headers.... for what I got... brand new injectors shouldnt be a problem.... dont look to hard to install either so I might do it myself (Correct me XI aka grandam god if I'm wrong, send me a PM bro)

I need to find the local place that sold me my AC Delco iridiums, see if they have em in stock just in case (but i doubt it), call my kwik kar guy and see if he wants to check my plugs w/ me... b/c damn lol w/ that strut bar on there its going to be hell getting to the back ones.. I should just take it off for now like I did the trunk (me and a friend tried to bend the mount out, made it better but was to lazy to mount it back up... another day lol

wires are good, still new looking... none of the pieces inside are loose, I unplugged #3 in the back and connected it back onto the spark plug and started it, still havin problems. I do doubt the iridiums have gone out already, I love those things lol I should still check em I guess just to make sure

The scanner the guy had was pretty sweet, told me each individual cycl misfire that'd happen and even history... like 4 had a 2 misfire history but it only happened once. Number 3 tho is freaking out lol, you can hear it in the way the exhaust sounds

I think once I do get the GA workin again I'm goin to do an oil change, w/ some purple I spotted a week or 2 ago at wal*mart ... just need a pan to drain it in and a jack lol Dont know if I should switch now tho.. I've been using mobil1 full syn. with K&N gold performance filters for a while... sure its kept clean

Hey XI, this guy was tellin me about my 180stat that I had put in, was saying that the PCM still thinks that the stock temp stat might be installed and could throw some stuff out of wack?

The gauge i have to get is the CAN system since that's what the G6 has in it... It's just of matter of either the dashhawk or the aeroforce.... but I think I'm gonna get the Dashhawk since I like the diplay/look and it seems to have more features listed. I just have to be careful when i get it.... it looks like a GPS unit ( in the pictures) and there are alot of cars being broken into for the GPS units around here... Then would come the next fun part and intergrating it into the dash someplace.... HMMMM.....

This will test the injectors to see if they are all working.
I'd almost bet its the injector or the wires have a short.
Also check the plug wire and make sure the ends are not broke inside the boot. Could also pull that plug and see how it looks.
I thought you had Iridiums recently, most I've seen are lasting between 65-80K miles. If you hav been running rich, it could have fauled it out and burnt up.

I think you're better off grabbing a pair of GT style tail lights... those look good for stock IMO.. no black SE lines going across... switch the bulbs out w/ LEDs and you're set

I would do the black headlights.... I do like them alot though! Jeez! Why do they have to come out with these things after i get rid of the car?! DAMN! I would agree with Gir though go with the stock GT tailights. Much better looking then the aftermarkets! Plus i've seen people modify the GT tails. For instance I've seen people take out the red lenses... ( which is only ok) However I saw someone who took out the turn signal red lenses and replaced it with a frosted clear lense... and put red bulbs in. It looked sweet. The rest of the links... well I haven't looked at the rest yet.. I'll comment on them later...

CRAP I just totally erased what I typed here... anyway I bought tail lights, smoked TYC for $145 from someone that didn't like how they matched on his car. They are a little dark but for $145 I figured I'd give them a shot... if I don't like them I'll just turn around and sell them again. Worth a try, and I'll still have that $80 left over from AAS to spend on something else :lol:

WOOT finally got the SERV number off my PCM... my god it was a bish to get to... friggin 4awg wire in the way of my PCM wires so I can't move anything! I have no idea how I'm going to get it out without removing my pick panels and my $500 speakers :banghead:

Grrrr.... well at least I can order my damn part now :p

after you get it going again after doing the security relearn, you're gonna have to take it somewhere (dealer prob) to get that CASE learn done (w/ a GMTechII)... it makes a world of difference before and after.

They charged me $40 =/ just for the CASE learn, a$$holes :lol:
