I still couldn't believe it was snowing today. All the trees still have leaves on them. It's like they don't want to give them up. Knowing that they are pobably all going to fall all at one time. Anyway I did have my fun today though... since the road was cold and wet and my tires suck, I turned off my traction control and went to town! :iceslolan Nothing like spinning your tires while going 50 and doing some slides into turns. Fun had by me!

hey Xi I was wondering what that pic was of... i was meaning to make a comment about that. I thought it was someones science experiment in their basement.

if you can get ahold of DHP XI they can take that SES light out for you I do believe, you just have to send them an e-mail or give their phone number a call and see what they can work out for you...

Ok so I woke up this morning to Snow again (http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s265/grfnkl/IM000914.jpg)... this time covering the cars and the grass. It was snowing pretty hard too! I didn't even know where my snow brushes were to clean the car off. So I used my scraper to get the worst off the windows. Thankfully i was parked on the street under the tree I kept some of the snow off my car! The picture of the snow isn't that good... it looked better in person.

Well my girl finally got our car and our stuff in PR. She was unpacking something in the apartment this morning... and she got teh car last week. So all is going well finally. Now I dont need to get teh freaking out phone calls! YAY :iceslolan

Hey guys!

I got a new latin outfit! And I made my gf/dance partner try on a latin and standard outfit. Her latin dress would have only been $1500! And the standard dress was about $4000. My entire outfit cost me $295, LOL! And yes I bought it. Behold my ultimate secksehness!

Yeah we already know about you new "latin" outfit. hahaha. Of course your outfit is cheaper... it's simple and more fabric. You know how it goes the less fabric the more you pay! Glitter and sparkles is like added bling...which means more money! The only other comment i have is "Awww how cute a pic together in the mirror" :grinno: J/K. Seriously though, Very nice!

Hey Xi we must have been on the same wavelength or something When I first saw vipey's post I had thought of almost EXACTLY what you said in your post! :eek7: Before i even read it!

AF died yesterday when I tried to check lol.. everything was scrambled then some database error.. TOO MUCH LATIN FEEVAH

Nice suit tho, popped collar lol

I've realized, a good prank to pull on someone is to goto edmunds.com... search for a brand new car *expensive... like a vette* and enter in someone else's info and e-mail... and they'll never get a word out... people are pushy... Ive gotten 3 voicemails from the same guy... new one everyday ... tons of e-mail and more voicemail from other dealerships!... I was only wanting a quote from them about a mkv gti 08' lol... they want the sale

btw, nifty thing about our GA.. not sure if its with all years of our model but.... the little cubby holder on the left of the steering wheel... the little slot, take that out and theres a nice little open space to the right and stuff at the bottom to hold and stash things

Yeah I couldnt get AF from 3pm -3am, figured some maintenace was being performed. dunno......

 on the car quotes!! They will hound you to death about buying a new car.

When I bought the GT I had looked at several dealers for cars, some where along the line one picked up the phone number and address.
They still call leaving messages for GA's they found. I was realy shocked they went to the trouble , But if you want your comission you do what you gotta to to get your quotas for the month.

I was worried about AF last night I couldnt get my fix and get online.... :runaround: I didn't know what to do with myself.

Gir thats not a bad idea. I normally just make a phone number up when people ask for mine when i don't want to give it out. hahahah! They think they have the info they need but they really don't. I agree though dealers can be pushy when they want their quota.

Yeah keep personal info personal. :D

Gir that little spot is for the garage door holder.
When you pull it out thier is a big empty spot inside where I supose you could stash a few things. ;)
Small things though might fall in between the metal bar and get stuck, my SE has eaten several cluster screws, and torx bits. :(

yay up in G-town! Still supposed to snow tomorrow :D

Um... so I'm thinking I might either bring my car to CJM Motorsports and have my heads, manifolds, etc. ported heavily, or I'll just buy MMS stuff (prolly stage 1 since im still saving for an STI) and have the purdue automotive group help me rebuild my engine. Either way, VROOOM!!! I'll jsut be VERY gentle on the gas so I don't instantly fry my transmission. If I do, maybe I'll get the GT tranny OR the 4t65e / 4t65HD swap

xeroinfinity
11-21-2007, 02:02 PM
I might see some of that too Vipey. It has been pretty warm the last couple days, rained most of today. I'm getting wet...... no matter what.

Machining works not cheap , though its possibly cheaper then MMS stuff already to go. Might be the time to consider headers too, since the heads would be off easy to work on then. :grinyes:

I been contiplating fabing up some headers for the GT, but IDK... Lots of small bends.... it sure needs something, some NOS maybe :naughty:

Everyone enjoy your holiday weekend.

No snow out here... actually it's rather warm out here now. I think we are in the 60's. :uhoh:

I'm glad to see you like the off topic! It's a great place to be and get away from things!

I do have to agree with Xi on the 2.5 in your 6000. It's not worth doing the work on it. I have a 2.5 in my 88 grand am and I wouldn't put the time into modding the engine. :grinno: As far as performance goes, there is very little out there. I think I've found a different throttle body that's about it. Most mods for this engine is boring out and tweaking in those regards. If you feel so compelled you could make your own cold air intake and update the exhaust.

Well Enjoy everyone!

Yeah Gir, Mr luos's TA is fast !!!!
Even with his short reaction times he won hands down.

I liked the last race, I think it was an Olds or Pontiac 6000.

I could possibly hold off his TA with the SE in the 1/8 mile, but after that, is when his power starts to hook up with the pavement , then he'd run off for the win.

anyone for a turkey sandwhich ? :bloated:

Very soon grasshopper!

Thiers a little more to it then just throwin it on.
UI comes off, the whole battery relocation, Ram air comes off, a upper radiator hose needs changed, header heat shields are also in the way.
I also need an adjustable FP regulator, and I'd realy like to install an intercooler so that requires bumper modifications inside.

Once the snow is flying I wont be driving it untill spring so I'll have the winter to do some stuff! :iceslolan
I just dont like not being able to get more the 6-8 psi tops. I'd like to start at 10psi and go up !! :evillol:
That would put it about 334ish (hope the trany holds) :cwm27:

I did attempt to drill out the catalist in the GT the other night. Couldnt find a drill bit 24" so I fabed up a bit on a long wire. Drilled through the back half fine on most of the holes but then I cracked it reaching to the front piece. :disappoin
Cut it off and put on a high flo I picked up for $75 at a local muff shop. Its a little louder havnt noticed any more pick up , a waste of $70 if you ask me. :banghead:

I remember seeing an adjustable FP reg somewhere... and I think they came in different chrome colors.... Guessing andysautosport.com but dunno... thats my first guess of where I saw one of those lol...

FMIC? hmm... that would have to be some amazing pipe work lol unless you fitted the other end of the FMIC on the passenger side with the filter...

You remember that turbo kit with the FMIC? .. they had it on the driver side.. both pipes .. top/bottom sorta setup AND TILTED BACK!!... very crouded if you ask me... you could do a loop around down the CAI slot to the FMIC and out the other side and/or back into the engine bay but dunno.. I dont know exactly if there would be any holes to travel up to and/or bolts to hold the piping lol

lol you want a base of 10psi? and NOT break the tranny! ... mmmm... New Pistons? or up the engine's ratio higher? ... that way it'd be squishin more air in there.... Unlessss.... you got a spacer gasket to lower it and run more psi with a different pulley :smokin:

PFYC had an adjustable FPR not a bad price either.

And getting the intercooler to fit will be the hardest part. It will suck from the pass side. It will run from the SC right through the front next to the radiator(since the battery will be gone).
At least thats the plan in my head, as long as I can see it I can build it.

This will help! :D

Ok so last night i saw something that I thought only exsisted in the internet world of jokes and funny pictures. I saw a guy riding a bicycle with a flat screen tv tied to the back of it. :eek7: He can afford to buy his 42 inch flat screen but can't afford a car or better means of transporting this thing? :screwy: I couldn't believe my eyes. I so badly wanted to take a picture of it! If only he was on my side of the road.

My car has been acting up today... actually the radio is. It keeps trying to load a CD when the car isn't on. it's happened a few times today right after i unlock the doors. It's like it's possesed! Oh well if it needs to be replaced maybe i can one of the new radios with the MP3 inputs! That would be Sweeeet! :naughty:

Man you've had some issues with your car grfnkl thats crazy you'd hav so many on a new car, though it is a new model. Good Luck hopefully they'll upgrade you for the hassles you've been going through.

Over my holiday weekend I had some real interesting conversations with my father-in-law. I guess he used to work with a guy, David Stribling, who now restores mustangs in central indiana. He's offered to introduce me to him and tour his shop. I heard he designed some parts for older stangs to upgrade to the new shelby drivetrains and suspension and they are sold in magazines and on the net. I just found this article googlin David Stribling (http://www.mustangmonthly.com/featuredvehicles/mump_0602_1968_ford_mustang_fastback/index.html).

Now, not that I'm a big stang fan, but I am interested in seeing how his restoration shop works, and maybe get some ideas for my own custom shop. :grinyes: :naughty:

Well back to the grind tomorrow...

Yeah my issues... I attribute them to something i like to call the Touch of death. If it's electrical and i touch it... it's gonna get messed up. That's why i purchase extended warranties... since I normally end up using them!

For the G6... there are a lot of problems with the 6 disc monsoon stereo... anywhere from stop working, to eating CD's, to a variety of other issues... so I just have one of the many symptoms that come to plague the radio. I need to bring the car in for an oil change anyways so maybe I'll bring it in and find out about the radio.

I think I've heard of David Stribling.... that's pretty cool though XI. I'm not a big stang fan myself... except Eleanor... Oh I would love to have her! :naughty: She can take me for a ride anytime! hahahah :grinyes: It would be an awesome opportunity though to see his shop and get a grand tour on things.

Oh.. I'm so sore from raking leaves....

Yes i was raking leaves.... Unfortunetly thanks to Global Warming, the leaves didn't start to fall until like 3 days ago... and when they fell it was like it snowed outside! A Thick Slippery mess everywhere. Normally they are all down by now but hey such is the climate.

From what i understand the 6 disc has the most problems out of the different radios that the G6 has. Oh well. The Radio can wait though. I think Oil change, tires and wiper blades if i can find them are more important right now.

Oh well back to "work" :cwm27:

i need wiper blades as well... hmmmm my are all dried and hardly move anything lol
I think my tires are 'ok' for this winter.. I just need to check and do all of the pressure.. still lots of tread from when I bought them...
Did my oil a while ago before it got cold, think tho its a little thin as I hear every tap noise on cold start lol...

I still have that one problem XI, the sticky carbon on the valve or w/e sticking lol... here when I can, Im going to clean my injectors (from this summer's mishapp) and prob change my fuel filter.. ALSO I need to buy a hose for my TB coolant by-pass... cause I smell coolant now... leaks only slightly but ill run out eventually haha

nifty idea... think if I got thick enough clear tubing from home depot I could run that with it clamped down? the temp is only what.. 180-230F average in that range? I'd only want to see the coolant inside to see if any debre floats thru or something like that.... A better idea would to see it as a test line or something

Yeah Gir I wouldnt use any clear tubing.
It cant handle the heat and pressure.

The coolant may only be 200 deg, but the heat coming of the exhaust crossover is much hot then that, it would probly melt and burst.
The black hose at the zone is super cheap, you only need a foot at the most.

even if I route it up and away from the heatshield?... What about the clear threaded hose that you can find? :o

I just think it'd be a nifty idea lol

I think its a cool idea! It made me think why its was never done before.... I did a little research and I did find a hose that was braided and clear (http://www.h-e-l.co.uk/HEL_Performance_Motorcycle_Brake_Lines_Hose.htm)fo r coolant but it's for a motorcycle... I think. :uhoh: I think the pressure that a car puts out maybe to great for it though and the hoses are probably to small. I dunno though :dunno:

DUDE that would be freakin awesome. All hoses clear fuel lines and coolant...i wanna do it

yea the idea came from something like this... since im such a nerd lol

http://www.3dxtreme.net/images/reviews/Swiftech%20H20-120FB%20Maze4/IMG_2895.jpg

Just think of that in orange possibly but inside your engine bay, a whole re-work kit would be awesome but It sure would take some strong a$$ hoses to hold the PSI, compaired to such as a small pump inside a computer

that motorcycle hose says it can only go up to 60degrees C I think it said lol... I think it'd melt :D

That lower part of the TB gets over 400 deg :eek7:
Plus as grfnkl said the pressure alone would probley bust them, and as soon as they get hott they'd make a nice mess!

Its just a pita to get that hose on, you practicly hav to remove the TB and the reciculator tube.

But dont let me discourage you, give it a shot, just make sure you have extra coolant around. and take some pics or video if it catches fire !!

I looked at that site with the hoses.
Some readings are in fahrenheit, and some in celsius. :screwy:

I know what the heck!!!! We're even supposed to get some as well... and I still have yet to get my oil change and wipers and tires.. :runaround:

Hey Gir.. 1000 channels and no speed channel? that sucks the big one. I'm guessing you have INdirect TV satellite then. I had that same problem when i lived at my sisters. For my wopping 70 channels through Concast basic cable.... I at least get my speed! YAY! :iceslolan.... or at least until they charge extra for it. Just thinking about it.... I'm not sure what I'm gonna do when i get to PR.... I don't know if i get speed or some of the other channels i watch... I know I'll have plenty of Univision or Telemundo.. Oh yeah My favs! :bigthumb: :shakehead

Well 500 channels might of been a small exageration. :D
I have Dish(echostar) with the top 180+ shotime package so I have over 200 channels. Not counting the 100 music and 100's of Sirus radio, ppv.... I swear thier must be 20 stations that are just selling crap!

When I've seen a movie 10+ times its time to change the channel. They just repeat things over over over over over over, you know how it goes.

Yeah snow maybe this weekend, then up in the 50's the first of the week. We're all going to be sick... :bloated:

At least its almost Friday !!! http://www.butterylicious.com/smilies/classic/dance.gif

Well the gittyness finally wore off and Now I'm starting to get bummed out... but I'm not sure why as of yet. I think it's cuz my girl is not around, to make me feel better... :frown: I definetly don't want "holiday" work that's worse then what i did...annoying customers...thats all I need to deal with! I know it's a bad time to look since alot of places aren't hiring right now either which makes it that much more difficult. For some reason though every person who has been let go ends up with a better job afterwards. I don't feel so bad I'm the 2nd person this week that they let go and 3 others quit.

I definetly don't need hobbies!!! I have 3 houses worth of projects to work on!!!! :uhoh: and that doesn't include any car projects or christmas decorating! So I have plenty to do... ah crap and wedding stuff. I guess i really have no excuse but to work on that. :banghead:

Yeah what's up with the snow they are constantly changing the forecast out here. First just flurries, then 3 inches, now it's SNOW with no number accumulation... which concerns me more cause the last time they did that we got 7 inches.

grfnkl sounds like they were making some cuts, and other quit too. They be F****D for the holidays ! :grinyes:

Yeah the snow situation is every changing....
I have seen a few flurries this morning and I see on the weather map more is on its way.

Out west Colorado to Minnesota ..... 5-6 FEET !! :yikes: Better bring a shovel daytona3_8 !!

I hope we get some snow, I need the extra cash from plowing parking lots.
The only time I like to visit walmart. :D

we have so many car wrecks here in austin... due to people not knowing how to drive on snow and icey roads. I know somewhat how to handle icey roads, from going backroading on sum wide street of neighborhoods.. that was alot of fun using my e-brake then taking off =)

But some snow my way would be awesome, it'd make my girl really really happy lol

Brrrr... It's freezing outside! Well I was woken up by my girl to tell me that it's snowing here. Thankfully she didn't rub it in that it's warm down there. Anyways we got about 2 inches of snow so far. Not quite what I expected to wake up and see. Not sure if we are going to get more or not yet. Well I'm off to try and warm up. Enjoy everyone!
