So I finished up the last of my mary-ja-wanna a couple hours ago. Hitting the beer pretty hard, but I have to drive later so I'm not hitting it THAT hard.. besides my stomach isn't feeling the rolling rock tonight. :uhoh:

So not this Monday, but the next I go in to get my drivers license in Oregon. Once that comes in, I'm going to try to get the medical MJ. We don't have walk in dispensaries here, but we do have clubs that you can become a member of then buy the mary and the jane in the same container.

There are quite a few businesses around here that do that. I think most of them were a little too sneaky though. At least one major one got shut down after they illegally dumped stuff, instead of actually paying the junkyard to take the trash.

Yeah, there are several in this area too, recycled/reclaimed timber is a big thing here. Guy I know that used to work for one of the big ones said they would go (with the owners permissions) in to condemned places or places that were going to be torn down anyway and take what they wanted a leave the rest to be demolished. Unfortunately they would resell the materials at a premium, but still only payed the workers minimum wage- while exposing them to 100 year old dust and lead paint and such. :nono:

Picked up a quarter earlier, been chain smoking for 6 hours.... havn't felt even the least bit fucked up.

Stuff smells great, smokes good, sticky. Tried the vapo, bong, various pipes, even rolled a joint earlier... whole lot of nothing :(

Maybe its because I haven't eaten today? Well I had a peanut butter sandwich earlier (need to buy groceries) and that's all I've had today.

Wouldn't that make it hit harder though on an empty stomach? Like if you get too fucked up and you eat something and you come down?

Ive always felt like a full stomach slows down the process of getting fucked up, pretty universally across all fun time substances that you injest through smoke or liquid.

Once thing I definitely noticed is that my first session back in the garden after 3-4 weeks was strong but in the next session the tolerance was significantly higher. I blazed a couple bowls yesterday and it wasnt intense, but I still had a decent buzz going.

I'm about to fire up Bob Marley and watch F&F6 in a little bit

When I laid off for 3-4 months before I went back home last year that was the first thing I smoked out of, this girl that was a friend of a friend had one. It was pretty good, it is a little larger than what those photos might lead you to believe- much bigger than your average e-sig, probably not enough to arouse suspicion though. I don't know about the "mouth piece lubricant" that it includes... that sounds... interesting :naughty:

Yeah, I think it was just crappy herb. I'm taking a break for a couple weeks just to try to knock down the tolerance a tad. I'm the same way though, like when I lay off, even if its for months, the first time is great, then the second time is much much less, then by day 3 I'm already routine again and just burning money. Maybe I need to switch to edibles? I want some of that shit they were eating on Getting Doug with Joey Diaz called cheebo chews or some shit. We have all the medical shit here, but not like cali :( (well that I know of anyway... still planning on getting that card soon.. maybe that stuff is available here.

Quote me up, Skotty.

So I watched all the available episodes of Getting Doug... I have mixed opinions on it. The ones where you could tell they were buddies and all the stories played off each other were great (like the one mentioned above with Joey Diaz, and the one with Ari Shaffir were good, but some of the others were not that great when there wasn't good chemistry. I don't like Gabe. I think that segment should be removed entirely- in fact I'm guessing soon that if the show continues he will run out of tricks and die. hopefully.

Edibles was by far my best high but that too was a fall off after the second time, but that could have a lot to do with the preparation. Every time I think about my tolerance, I realize more and more how people "need" to use stronger stuff until they work the way up the food chain to mainlining drain-o

With mushrooms you want to chew on them for as long as you can, you want to break that shit up and get it to absorbing. I'm not sure how cooking would affect mushrooms, I know people make tea, but I've never had it so I dunno. Dumb people talk about making weed tea... but those are people who do not know thc binds to oils not water and they're taking out of their bungholio.

LOL wasn't me. I have a rule about not drinking until at least 10PM.

1) Because drinking makes me tired, so I'd pass out before it was dark out, if I started that early.
2) Because if I drank all afternoon, in addition to all night like I currently do, I'd consider myself an alcoholic. That's the only thing that stops me from admitting I have a drinking problem.

Remember the days when everyone had jobs, and people who had a valuable skill set could actually afford to buy things they needed... like a car.

When I smoke weed I get mad at how much money I "waste" on it... then when I try to stop I just realize how crappy everything around me is. I never seem to manage to save the money that I would be spending on weed... I don't know where it goes... I guess I just spend it on other things I need. I got paid yesterday, had to wait till today to deposit my check... havn't had any food in my house in days so I've been grabbing breakfast on the way to work, then getting lunch at work, then not eating once I get home because I don't have any food. I have money... but I don't way any way to get to the store. I pay zipcar for a membership, yet cars are never available. When I complain I'm assured that my complaint has been forwarded to some team to writes it on a post-it or something... Portland has this law, there are no plastic bags meaning that if you go to the store and buy food, they give it to you in a paper bag, meaning that you can only carry one bag with you if your taking the bus- because they load it to the brim. Then if its raining, (300 days a year) don't even bother. The bag will disintegrate as soon as you walk out side. Don't worry though, you'll be bombarded by bums and homeless as soon as you walk out of the store. Oh yeah, did I mention how ridiculously expensive everything here is? I got a burger and fries from a food cart the other day, not even a sit down restaurant- a food cart. Guess how much that burger was? Any takers? 15 bucks. Not getting as many hours as I used to in the past, cost of everything is going up, in two years my apartment has been up over $400. Only way I can get cheaper rent is to move out of the city... cant move out the city without a car, cant buy a car without cheaper rent, cant get cheaper rent without moving out of the city, cant move out of the city without buying a car, cant buy a car unless I find cheaper rent, cant find cheaper rent unless I move out of the city, cant move out of the city until I buy a car. See the problem? Oh yeah, and I'm 60,000 in debt and I've only managed to pay a few grand of it off- probably about equal to the interest that accumulates every month.

When I say fuck my life... I truly mean fuck my life.

Oh yeah, and bus fare went up again, I pay something like $150 a month to ride the bus.... yet they have posters all over the place saying "to be as efficient as us you would have to fit 30 people in your car". Sometimes I want to burn peoples faces off.

I hear ya. Whenever I think about the $ I've wasted on alcohol and especially cigarettes, it drive me nuts. Can't say the same for weed though, I've probably only spent $60 in the past 10 years on it.

Does anywhere around there sell reusable grocery bags? Like a thick fabric bag with handles on it. Maybe it's just a regional thing, but we have them everywhere. Hell on the rare occasion I stop into an Aldi's, they don't have bags period, and make you pay $.25 (that you get back) if you want to use a cart.

TheSilentChamber
01-21-2014, 04:16 PM
You can buy reusable bags or take your own, the total amount of stuff I can carry really doesn't vary. Say I go to the grocery store thats easiest to get to here, its a 30 minute bus ride there, 10 minute walk from the bus stop, buy groceries, then I have to walk 10 minutes back to the bus stop, wait 30+ minutes for the bus to come along, get on the over packed tin can ($5 fare, might I add) take the 30 minute ride back home, walk back up my apartment- which by the way is 5 flights of stairs to get to my second floor apartment, because everything is on a hill in Portland. So really, reusable bags- other than usually being a little sturdier and with a handle- really don't change the amount of stuff that I can carry. Portland is also the very worst city I've ever been in as far as service anywhere. There can be 500 people in the store and they will only have one cashier, and don't buy produce because they won't know the code, you actually plant seeds and grow your own apples in the amount of time that it will take to get a price on that.

I think its a nation wide phenomenon. I'm a big guy- but not to the point of ever needing to go to special stores to buy clothing that fits. Now because stores sell a medium shirt marked xxl... I have no other options. I went into a big and tall shop one time (nope.. not tall... ) and was shocked that a regular t shirt with that stores logo on it (think it was Casual Male or some shit like that) was $65.

Never had an energy shot or even an energy drink before. I'm super sensitive to that kind of thing. Took a caffeine pill once in high school, and had to go to the nurses office and lay down for the rest of the day. By comparison, I could drink 2-liters of Mountain Dew in one sitting, years later and be fine. Now I can't even drink 1-liter of it in a 4 hour period, without getting the shakes. Shit is messed up.

Man I have to admit, even drinking sometimes 3 energy drinks a day (usually its 2, sometimes I accidentally consume another) this Redline shit is the real deal. I'm fucking wired, and jittery. And typing with more typos than Drew (you guys don't know drew, friend of mine... Texting him is like playing scrabble with a 3 year old.

Hey now. She may have been in her 60's overweight, a face full of gnarly moles, and stunk like she she hadn't bathed for weeks... but she sure did have a gentle caress on that turkey baster. I suppose I should mention she was also the lunch lady.

Damn, don't how you people do it. I know a guy who's a bodybuilder type (met his father through my friend's landlord because he's a pro welder), and by bodybuilder I mean gym rat who shoots up to get big. He drinks 4-6 Monsters a day, every day. No wonder his liver is failing him (clearly roids hurt more than the drinks, but still).

Back in my early years I couldn't drink them, got all jittery and shit. Hated the taste-- most taste like paint thinner of sorts. Then Coke Blak came out, anyone remember that shit? It was only on the market for like a year... actually come to think of it I don't know if it ever actually went "on the market" I remember talking about it online and other people had never seen it and I looked it up and it was being tested in various markets, guess I lived in one of those. Anyway, those are what turned me onto the high caffeine drinks. Then it was discontinued, then not long after was the big energy drink boom, dabbled in them here and there, not serious. I was throwing news papers at the time, so the extra energy was nice to keep me from falling asleep on my 100 mile route (rural area, more miles than papers). Anyhoo, not long after I moved to Portland was was in college and needed to be awake 40 hours a day it seemed and I started drinking Bawls pretty regularly, it didn't give me the jitters like the others. skip ahead a year or so and I'm drinking all sorts of energy drinks, working my way up. I've quit several times, once for like a year or so, then I'll be running slow one morning and pick one up and BAM back on them all the time. Caffeine- its a mother fucker.

Hell yeah, I remember Coke Blak, that coffee flavored one. I tried it once before, but I'm not a coffee person, so I just wasn't in to it. My parents bought a 6-pack of bottles (not sure it came in a can), they both had 2 (they are massive coffee drinkers), I had 1, and the other bottle stayed in the fridge for a year plus, until I threw that shit away.

I tried to quit smoking and drinking soda/caffeine a few years ago. I had already quit drinking and weed at that point, so it was a no-fucking-go. I quit smoking for 3 weeks, but I drank a Coke the next fucking day. I can tell at night if I haven't even had one caffeinated soda in a day (even if it's before 3pm), I just feel so damn tired and want to sleep at 6pm, after literally doing nothing all day long.

LOL I have no clue what you're talking about, but that shit is hilarious, regardless. You know real Scottish people go commando when wearing them right? Pretty creepy.

yeah the Coke Blak did not go over well I don't think. And I believe your correct, it only came in the glass bottles (10oz ish, smaller than your average bottle) and they were ridiculously expensive for the time, close to three bucks I think. Remember finding a recipe online for it too and making it myself a couple times after it was discontinued (it was basically like 50/50 coke and coffee, not hard to figure out lol)
