SERIOUSLY OT: Calling all chicks! IT'S PART 6!!

Thank God for my inherent need for organization. I keep a pdf owners manual for pretty much every thing I or my parents own. I've got one for our 20 year old weed wacker, , my surround sound, car deck, lawnmower engine, my grandmothers old blood pressure machine that she hasn't used in 3 years, and our snow blower. Guess which one I was in dire need of today?

Probably the blood pressure machine... but of course it was the damn snow blower one. Got a foot of snow since 7 or 8am, and it's still coming down. We've been getting bitch storms all season so far, so I've just been using the shovel and haven't touched the damn thing. But it took me 10 minutes to figure out where I had to set the choke and "accelerator lever" (the thing with the turtle and the rabbit). 30 seconds of looking at the manual, and I was able to get it started on the first try.

Speaking of, it was 0 degrees when I woke up. Forecast calls for snow.. but it says their weather models were inaccurate for what is happening in the weather system and they don't actually know how much snow to expect.... At least they didn't lie like they normally do. :uhoh:

Strange though... My mom just told me today that they didn't know what sex I was before I was born, to have a surprise I suppose. Decided to spend some $ and get some decent beer tonight, rather than my usual cheap beer routine. Went to the grocery store, looked around for a while, and saw some Samuel Adams Rebel IPA. I've had some good Sam Adams, and I've had some downright disgusting Sam Adams (I'm looking at you Imperial White), so I didn't have very high hopes. But I figured, how can a big company fuck up an IPA, I mean it's not like this is MillerCoors or Anheuser-Busch.

I'm glad I tried it, because it's actually pretty good. It's a typical citrus/grapefruit flavored Cascade and Centennial hops, mixed with some piney hops. Similar to most IPAs out there (Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA being my favorite so far). But this was one of the least expensive of those types that I have found, maybe a little more than Third Shift Amber Lager (MillerCoors product), at $14.99 for a 12-pack ($16.79 with $.05 bottle return and $.08 sales tax). Compared to $10.99 for a 6-pack of Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. It's also 6.5% alcohol, compared to 6% from the 60 minute IPA, which is a slight bonus that makes it even more worth it to me.

Really the only problem with it I see is their blatant marketing to hipsters. Along with their lame ass tag line (clearly created by people in their 50's & 60's in an attempt to be "hip") of "brewed for the revolution", the beer tap handles for it are of a fake spray paint can, that matches the artwork of the bottles and boxes. Red background with white splooge (or possibly white spray paint?) They simply tried too hard, and their marketing teem clearly missed the mark...except it actually probably helped to increase sales in Portland.

I've only seen 2-3 episodes of Workaholics though. I just couldn't get into it for some reason. Last time I was over at my brothers, my sister-in-law asked if I had seen the most recent episode (probably 2-3 weeks ago), but clearly I hadn't. "Those people" (talking about my brother and his wife here for clarification sake :D), seem to have a pretty decent opinion on shows, as a couple of course. Fucking genius that I am got on the wrong train line cause i only glanced at the first stop on the sign before boarding. My line (UP-North) and the line I got on (UP-Northwest) both have the same first stop.

I was on the train, playing Zombie Highway on my phone (which still has no signal btw) and didn't realize I was on the wrong train til about 5 stops later. Had to hop off, wait 59 minutes, and catch it back the other way... back to the main station, then hop on the UP-N and walk home from my stop. I cost myself a good 90 minutes cause of being a fucking moron. I can't even blame it on alcohol cause I hadn't drank that much after work

Be warned, after writing my earlier praise, later on in the evening the tip started flashing, which apparently means the non-rechargeable battery is now dead. Says on the package 500 but I'd say between me and my friend we got maybe 80-100? Maybe it was because we were taking long slow draws to get a lot of ... product... but it was for sure not 500. I'm waiting on a check to come in then I'm going to look into purchasing one of the good ones from my local head shop. Because I'm using concentrate there was virtually no smell of weed, walking around downtown, sitting in the drive through lane, etc. E-Sigs are all over the place here, and this is just another one of them, no suspicion at all. Make me think... maybe this is why E-Sigs are so big... maybe its just a ploy to by big merch companies that see that the mary jane is on the verge of being legal in quite a few places, however smoking a joint or lighting up a bowl or especially a bong in public if frowned upon, even in the areas where it is legal. So they decided to invent a new smoking device, that was like a cigarette version 2.0- for the future of social smoking. Instead of introducing it as a device for smoking weed, they move in on the existing smoking market- cigarettes. Not a new cigarette, because we all know cigarettes are bad. But wait, there is another market. Lets introduce them as a healthy alternative to cigarettes! It will be a slow burn marketing effect, but that's fine, this is just the opening stages of the overall marketing ploy- remember. By slow burn I mean it took some time from seeing them on the market to seeing people occasionally use them, to seeing people use them regularly (maybe its also a Portland thing? We would be a city pushing the limits of smoking technology). Once that market was starting to be penetrated people started also started having excess to hash oil... which oh look, you can shove that shit in one of these e-sigs. It has no smell, and other than getting you looked at with that "oh, look at that d-bag smoking his e-cig" look, noone is none the wiser. Toke up in public? Indeed we should, indeed we will! Happy go lucky me! So back to the story. Now a smoking market which was, while spoken in hush tones, used by a large percent of the nation, and mostly smoking in hand made glass pieces. Which is made by Little Man America. Fellow happy go lucky potheads doing a trade they love, making art that you can smoke from. Rock on little smelly hippy glass blower! Rock on! But just keep that shit in your basement or secured smoking area- the public frowns on it. Don't leave it in your car, or lay it on the counter while you riffle through your spare pocket change the gas station. But wait, forget that shiz, we have these vape pens that allow us to smoke a concentrate in public without even hiding it. Who makes those? You want to know who makes those?! Chinese kids! (probably). At what cost shall we pay to toke :headshake

Oh yeah, and that hash oil, probably the most "unnatural" state of herb you can get. And I an easily see it as the market most easily swept up in the transition to legalization. I bet they use Chinese made equipment to boot. :banghead:

Well for under $20 I cant be too mad if I only get 100 or so pulls. 300 would be better. I really do need to just bite the bullet and get a real vape though. Im just so lazy... and the $50 I might have to spend on the vape would get me an entire 8th.... decisions, decisions
