@ frodoGT... called the guy that was holding my stuff... nice to find out that his garage got borked into... so my 'teg motor for my '85 is gone, along w/ the box of parts sitting next to it.. only good thing I got from that phone call is that he's *GIVING* me back my old civic.. he just doens't want it anymore, since he got his Gran Prix GTE (turbo) running again...

Anyway, the point of that was this: the only parts I have left are a small turbo from a 626, an intercooler from an older turbo diesel box truck, and a ford 427 in pieces... some other small asst parts... the only injectors I have left atm are the ones that are in the civic now... and i can't get rid of those.

BUT I get my license back this month, afaik, so I"ll try to find you some more, and you'll pry get them cheaper than $50 if I can find them. (b/c of the inconvenience)

Sry for that dude, guess I spoke too soon about what I had..

Like I said, I might score more of them again, if I do, I'll set them aside in a shipping box just for you. Just need 4 right?

a good 1-2yrs ago we sold a 99 GSR 40,000 og miles with ITR front conversion, CF hood, mugen front bumper & sideskirts, tanabe exhaust, toda header....so on. the guy moved out of town but left the car here at his parents. i guess he decided to sell it and found a buyer local to him. he called us and asked if we could fix something before he picks it up.

we go to the back of his mom's house where the car is in the ally. don't freak out. it's a really spendy neighborhood. it's like the car is secretly tucked back there. we roll up, go into the backyard to get the key in the secret spot. peel back the car cover and remove the blanket on the CF hood. jer gets in and the battery is dead. the car is on a hill so he lets off the brake and bump starts it and we're gone. on the way home i realize we were there maybe 5 mins or less...it felt like we went on a mission to lift a secret car. LoL.

Aww that would be sweet! as long as its legal. I want a gsr :( oh well, Ill be happy to spank a few of em. Speaking of which, I went with a friend to a miata meet around the corner from my house (drove the hatch!) and they ended up talking about my car and honda more than mazdas lol. But a guy told me hes got a b16A2 longblock with some extras sitting at his house that he pulled out of a girls car. Said something was wrong with it, like compression was low and they suspected a cracked piston, but he wants 500 for it. I figure If I wanted to turbo it id be doing rods and pistons anyway right? OR, I could just snag the head from him and shwing, lsvtec! Id rather do that than go sohc turbo..and id rather go b16/lsvtec turbo>all lol.

I plan on having fun but I don’t think I can take as many pictures as I’d like. The 4gb memory stick that I ordered off eBay last week may not come. Got an email from eBay saying that the seller’s been suspended, don’t know why, but I hope that my stuff has been sent b/c it should have been here yesterday or maybe today. So that sux, all my money is spent so I can’t go to the store to buy one. The memory stick I have holds like 195 pics, so unless it comes today I won’t be doing any videos.

i ordered a 4gb mini sd for my phone off ebay. for the life of me i could only find 2 gb mini sd in the stores...around $30-35. the 4 was $45 shipped.

have a good trip, safe, fun trip!

woke up this moring and white stuff is falling from the sky....i must have missed the memo GTA was driving up :dunno: that is the only possible explanation for this occurance so early in the season. :screwy:

lady, be careful about ordering things off ebay... there are alot of fakes that look completely original, and they're cheaper, smaller versions of the hardware you're looking to get, and they've had the firmware reprogrammed to make them "think" they're really that large... first thing you should do is write some data to it, enough to fill it's supposed size, and check for data errors while trying to read back from it.

If everything checks out after that, good buy!

BTW, they've gotten very good... so much so that w/ the products that have a holographic seal on them, it's been perfectly reproduced as a fake.

i planned on testng the space, but that's if i get it...guy had a pretty good rating and from the feedback people left, only a few had problems when it came to using the memory sticks, but the were resolved...but the seller had an eBay stoy where all he sold was 4gb memory sticks... so i dunno, i hope it comes and it works

What dizzy are you looking for, I can look around a few friend's (or my) garage, and see what I can come up with..

I'll need the part number and what it originally went to/came from.. (diff friends do stuff by diff methods), but I assure you anything I get you will be legally purchased, and completely legit :D That's how I roll.

Lanzar Vibe series are good amps. I had one last for over 6 years and was in 3 cars. It powered 2 Lanzar 10s in a bandpass box in my old Toyota Tercel (had 10 speakers in it), then powered my 2 Lanzar 12s in my Porsche 944 in custom made box so they faced the rear glass upwards (fucking amazing!), then I had it power the 2 Lanzar 10s again in the CRX. Finally, I got rid of the 10s and sold the amp to my friend. I may try to get it back from him if he didn't fuck it up...

Hey guys and gal, I was seeing you can provide me with some advice. The wife backed into a wall yesterday night :screwy: and scratched up her bumper, dented it a bit and cracked a tail light. I want to see if I can clean up the bumper the best I can. This is an 06 Jetta, plastic bumper. What would you recommend I do? Which grit sandpaper is best and what compound do you recommend? I never scuffed up any of my cars so I never actually fixed something this bad. Thanks for your help, this is a lease so I really don't want to pay for it. Thanks again.

ell, unless you know how to do body work, you wont fool the lease company, and youll probably be charged double for poor work, (because they have to strip off what you did to fix it). so my advice would be to A. get it profesionally fixed or B. leave it and pay the lease company when you return it. (PS, Im an I-Car certified body tech, i know about this, i dealt with insurane companies all he time, they suck)

Sucks ass. Thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll quote it up with the VW dealer and see the estimate and if its more the her deducable I'll try to finagle insurance to pay for it.

Greenblurr93
10-06-2007, 02:11 PM
dont go to a dealer.... they'll over charge, and may put it on the vehicles report.. bring to an independant shop and explain your situation, they'll be more likely to understand and help

00accord44
10-06-2007, 02:31 PM
^I agree. A cop backed into my car causing similar damage a few years ago and I had to get 3 estimates for the state's insurance to pay for it. The dealer estimate was the highest estimate by a good $200

Christ
10-06-2007, 02:40 PM
you could always just see if you can find another tail light and bumper cover in a junkyard somewhere, leave it off the insurance and paperwork, and change them yourself... like it's hard or something...

BrodyP
10-06-2007, 03:21 PM
Wow didn't know it goes on a report just for an estimate. No thanks. I'll take it to a few body shops then and see what they feed me.

Is she 15?

Anyway, I just got back from a Gymkhana event held in Tampa. I took some pics, and it was pretty freaking cool. I forgot to get any of anything non miata though.

A Gymkhana is similar to an autocross except that in this event you must use reverse gear, and navigate smaller tighter obstacles. Course memorization is also important, because you will utilize some parts more than once.

Here is what the course looked like. http://www.wedrivefast.com/6Oct07_Gymkhana.pdf

A couple examples from today.

http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f246/FrodoGT/?action=view&current=117-1.flv

I rode along with my friend in his mazda 3, with springs and sways, we managed 7th because we kept murdering the cones with the balls on them, the object is to hit the ball off and leave the cone standing. We got beat by about 5 miatas though, so it was a gimme that we werent getting 1st, even though our raw time murdered them, they could freaking see the cones when they backed into them!!!! making it infinitely easier to not cream them.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f246/FrodoGT/112.jpg
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f246/FrodoGT/109.jpg

You actually had to stage up in reverse, and the first obstacle was a 300 ft reverse slolam.
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f246/FrodoGT/116.jpg

My genius idea for a ghetto lift when this one wouldnt get into reverse before tech.

That way, she can drive if she needs to.

@ foosh (Edited, originally posted to wrong person), nah, she don't need a license to get from kitchen to bedroom... but she needs a keycard to get into the apt as of next week :D my new hacked TiVo came in the mail yesterday, w/ 4 cams, and a card entry kit... sick of having to worry about ppl breakin into my apt b/c the door doesn't latch when you close it and it only has a dead bolt holding it shut...

I hate my mouse, I need a new one. When I click on things, it rarely registers as a click unless I press really hard. Then after it doesn't register as a click, the mouse actually saves up the click and will randomly go off. When I'm surfing the net I use the Open in New Window thing. So when I go to close 1 window, the saved up clicks release and close every window I have open. Also when I click on links, the saved up clicks release and open multiple windows of the same damn thing.
