Yep... well, not so new anymore. I got it in the spring of last year. Traded the VW Passat 1.8t with 200k for $3,000 :smile: It's a 2008 KIA Spectra5 SX with Eibach Pro-Kit springs. It wasn't lowered when I took the pics for the sig. It's lowered about an inch but you can't really tell with the 10,6xx miles now on the Goodyear All-season tires. I'm probably going to tint the windows this spring and maybe sometime down the line some lightweight 17" wheels (so I can clean the front ones without chewing up my hands on the brakes). :lol:

Tonight my mom offered me $250 and Nicotine patches if I quit smoking, starting tomorrow. I've been cutting back to 6-9 cigarettes a day this past week, from my usual 10-14, so I'm already slowly headed in that direction (and have been thinking of a plan to cut back more). I tried last year and only made it 3 weeks without one. But I'm not all that convinced she'll pay up if I really do quit this time. Guess I'm just thinking out loud.

have her put the cash somewhere easily seen, so you know if its still there and can provide a tad more motivation... good luck

Just quit, dude. Stop buying them. That's what I did. I actually finished a pack at lunch time and that was it. I had the cravings for awhile and when I did I lifted barbells instead of smoked. Hell, I even had dreams where I thought I still smoked every now and then which seemed pretty realistic. Quitting smoking cigarettes was one of the best decisions I've made.

my mother used hypnosis after the cold turkey plan failed a bunch of times... and it worked for her, she hasnt smoked since.

I just have really weak will power. And I'm a whine-ass who likes to make excuses :D. It is pretty stupid for me to not just quit, especially when I pay $6.11 for a pack, and 3-4 packs a week. I used to use the excuse that everyone I'm around smokes, but now most of them have quit. I'll stop being a bitch and try to get it done and over with this weekend.

I literally just decided that I wasn't going to buy them anymore... and I didn't. I kept buying them for awhile for my wife, but since she got pregnant with our son, she decided it was better for her to quit as well...

By the way, it's a boy, due June 11th.

Woo Hoo! I'm so ready to be able to get a new car. About a month ago, timing belt snaps on my B18 hatch, pretty sure it took the rest of the engine with it. Finally motivates me to finish swapping the D16z6 into my other hatch, which I got finished with at the beginning of the month. Today driving back from lunch, transmission tries to hang in 5th, I get it out without much of a fight, shift through 1st to 2nd....and its now stuck in 2nd gear. I can pop it out of gear, but thats about it, can't actually get it to neutral or anything.

So tomorrow I get to swap in the 4spd that was sitting in the back of it when I got it and hope that there is nothing wrong with it. Once I get it out, Ill tear it apart and see if its just in the shifter assembly in the transmission and steal parts from the original DX transmission out of the white hatch.....that has been seen in weather for years, hopefully the parts I need out of it are still good.

I got the 4 spd in there, and damn do they suck. No speedo right now, no clue where the 4spd speed sensor is.

Fluid from the old one was nice and murky grey with lovely metal shaving in it. Ill pull it apart this weekend and see what the damage is. Hopefully I can fix it and get it back in there.

I cracked a tooth on one of those hard sugar ball things people put on cakes. I never got around to getting it checked out (no insurance, and extremely high anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist). Last week I chomped down on a hamburger and instantly felt some intense pain. The pain has been getting worse day by day. but now, the entire left side of my face hurts. My upper jaw, my lower jaw, my left ear, above below and behind my freaking eyeball, the back of my head on the left side, and my left temple area. I swear it feels like someone lit my face on fire. Seriously, take a lighter and put the flame on your hand for a few seconds; that's what it feels like. Last night I wasn't sure if I was going to die, pass out, or throw up from the pain. Right now I'm not feeling much better. Going to try to get to the dentist tomorrow, probably have to get a root canal down. Ohhhhh Joy!

Dude - if you can't get to a dentist in the morning, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.

Dental infections aren't something to dick around with, they can kill you. And with the symptoms you're experiencing (itching/burning, probably swelling, ailment in areas beyond the jawline/oral cavity) you've probably got a dental infection or abcess. You need to see a physician IMMEDIATELY.

Yeah, even if you cant afford the whole cost up front, most places can set you up with an affordable payment plan... get it checked out dude, thats not good... good luck

i had a root canal done almost 10yrs ago and not it's time for a replacement tooth...the one i have now cracked and started coming apart

Went to the dentist, and I have to go back in an hour. He said that the pain is being caused by 2 other teeth, different from the ones I may have cracked (wasn't sure which of 2 teeth I actually did the damage to, because it was right in between them). So I'm going back to get the tooth that I did crack filled. But then he wants me to go to a dental surgeon this week to get 2 other teeth pulled. So basically, I'm getting a tooth filled today, but I'm still going to be in a massive amount of pain until I get the others pulled. Honestly I think this guy is a quack. He did have 2 very hot assistants though, but I'm sure they were hired for their skills and professionalism ;)

Yeah, no doubt. My last dentist wouldn't have suggested pulling at least 1 of the teeth. But my mom owes him some money for work he did for her in the past, so I can't go back. This new guy is a tool. He kept me waiting for 45 minutes, before even stepping foot into the room. Then he gave me some novocaine and eventually went to work. One big problem with that though. He's a moron and gave me the injection too far down, so as he started grinding deeper, I started feeling it. After another one, he was going pretty good until he stopped and told me that it's going too deep and that I need a root canal. So my lip is completely numb, I still feel the intense pain that was the original problem, and I have a temporary sh*t filling in my tooth. All he gave me was a prescription for 800mg of Motrin for the pain (I was already taking 400-600mg on my own), and antibiotics. I get to do it all over again when I get the tooth/teeth pulled, and again in March for the root canal. :thumbsdow

I am going to watch the movie "My Name Is Bruce" for the first time tonight, so that's something to keep my mind off of this stuff. It's Bruce Campbell from the Evil Dead movies (among a million others), where people think he's really like Ash in real life.. It's going to be awesomely bad.
