so not.

Worse is that it's not an isolated event.. there are websites dedicated to that sort of "thing".. not to mention that 2g1c.com (the site it was/is originally hosted on) has "sister" sites.. which are none-too-pallate-pleasing either.

Humans
Coprophagia is extremely uncommon in humans. It is generally thought to be the result of the paraphilia known as coprophilia, although it is only diagnosable in extreme cases where it disturbs one's functioning. From the medical literature, coprophagia has been observed in a small number of patients with dementia, schizophrenia[1] and depression[2]. Consuming other people's feces carries the risk of contracting diseases spread through fecal matter, such as Hepatitis A, Hepatitis E, pneumonia, and influenza. Vaccinations are generally recommended for those who engage in this practice. Similar risk can apply to related sexual practices, such as anilingus or inserting an object into the mouth that has recently been in the anus (see ass to mouth). The practice of coprophagia in humans is also depicted in a handful of motion pictures. For examples see section Coprophagia in motion pictures below.

Lewin (2001) reports that "... consumption of fresh, warm camel feces has been recommended by Bedouins as a remedy for bacterial dysentery; its efficacy (probably attributable to the antibiotic subtilisin from Bacillus subtilis) was confirmed by German soldiers in Africa during World War II."

Coprophagia is also sometimes depicted in pornography, usually under the terms "scat" or "shitplay". The online video 2 Girls 1 Cup was an online sensation in 2007.

Punk musician and performance artist GG Allin often engaged in coprophagia during his performances.

So... I went to my arraignment hearing today... I found out that I was actually charged with "aggravated unlicensed driving in the 3rd degree" which is a misdemeanor in the state of NY.

Maximum penalty - According to the judge: One year in jail, up to several thousand dollars in fines, loss of privilege up to and including permanently in NY state.

Maximum Penalty - According to the law books: "A fine of not less than $200 and not more than $500; a sentence up to and including, but not more than, 30 days of incarceration; or a combination of both."

This sucks.

But hopefully, I can get out of it.. have to go talk to Pub Defender sometime to see if I can get out of it by pleading ignorance... at the arraignment, I plead "Not Guilty, by reason of Ignorance" just to cover my ass.

There is a note of defense in the section I was charged under that states that "foreign licensed (out of state) individuals may use said license in their defense"

But it goes on to say that "these regulations do not apply if individual, knowing that his license or operating privilege is suspended or revoked in this state, still did operate a motor vehicle on this state's highways."

The "knowing" part is the key to my defense.

pre-paid legal

but the magistrate told me that "there is no such thing as ignorance of the law" and sent me off to jail :p ...and that was just for driving with a suspended liscense that i didn't know about

The part in question isn't whether I did know about it or not, it's whether I was afforded the opportunity to know about it.. and since no american has ever gone and checked his DMV records w/o due reason (since that costs money and all... ) there is no real reason that I should have known about it, as even if I was ever sent a letter about it, it was years ago, and I'd have now forgotten.

It still stands that you'd think after being re-issued in PA, and going through 3 or 4 diff insurance appraisals (YOU KNOW they check everything that's available), noone ever mentioned those tickets.

00accord44
01-15-2008, 09:00 PM
You should get off with a fine and not much else if you plead Nolo Contendre (No Contest). I've been through more than my fair share of legal battles, this sounds like you'll be alright. Public Pretender is a joke though.

Christ
01-15-2008, 09:48 PM
I plead not guilty by reason of ignorance, nolo contendre isn't an option here. Already tried that. I most likely will get out of it anyway, due to being first offense, and the fact that I"m usually a pretty respectful/polite person. (Especially when I know it's going to cost me lots of money to be a dick.)

I'm just gathering information in case I actually have to mount a defense. I'll talk to the public defender, but I'll have myself considered co-counsel, since I know enough about courts from being in and out of them from 14 til 20 to actually mount my own defense and probably win on a technicality.. (that's what I usually do). CYS/CPS is a joke.. to those of you who haven't dealt with them.

my kid has developed a barking cough. that is the best way to describe it. no fever. no sore throat. no coughing up anything. no running nose. nothing. just non stop barking. the worst part is she'll be coughing and sleeping thru it. as a parent it's keeps me up. i've gotten next to no sleep for 3 days. i should be taking a good old nap all day long while the house is quiet but i can't seem to do it.

cough medicine
cough drops
herbal mint tea with honey
vaporizer

it gives her a little relief. but not much. i know she doesn't have asthma. maybe it's the extremely cold/dry weather we're experiencing?!?!?

all i know is i have racked up a whole 6hrs of sleep within the last 72 hrs :shakehead

100 day cough....AKA the whooping cough. I am happy to say I know it is not that.

she will cough once maybe twice and that's it until she'll get another cough in 5-10 mins. she has described it as a dry tickle in her throat that just won't go away.

our temp was 3 degrees when we got up at 6am this morning. it's been low 20's for our day time highs. that is why I was thinking maybe the change in weather did something?!?!?

all I know is I need sleep, y0!

FrodoGT

Ok yeah thats what I was trying to describe..the constant tickle you cant get rid of

00accord44
01-17-2008, 12:11 AM
Sounds like there isn't much you can do but keep her hydrated and wait it out. I would suggest yogurt to coat her throat and maybe ease the tickle, but then she would just end up coughing up mucus/phlegm.

The word "mucus" is disgusting to say, read, or write

Got my rear brakes together with new pads and rotors today. And got the seized in place arms with destroyed bushings cut out with a cutting wheel. Now im just waiting on the energy suspension RTA bushings to come in and Ill be in business.
Then the teggy fronts go on and Ill be rolling on some serious braking meat.

Oh and I found the exact catback my crx had on it before I sold it. Man I loved the sound that thing had. Its not in nearly the shape mine was (pristine) but im lowballing him so who cares. Hope he doesnt sell it before tomorrow.

i'm sure that works great for somebody like you who has spare kids :grinno:

I have the same thoughts on yogurt & mucus. Honey seems to be the best natural throat coating action. I stick 1-2 tsp of that in herbal mint (caffine free) tea. The warm water is also a supposed natural soother.

Vaporizer huh? I've always wanted to try a vaporizer. It's supposed to be better for you, because it super heats instead of burning the... Ohhh, you're not talking about THAT kind of vaporizer.

I bet I barely beat you on the total amount of sleep for last night. I fell asleep around 6:15am, woke up at 7am, fell back asleep somewhere around 8:15-8:30am, and woke up again at 11:30am. Next time I'll remember not to drink a soda at 10pm & forget to take off my nicotine patch before I go to bed; nothing I can do about my sinuses though.

full dual 12" vented sub box with amp, not even hooked up.

Full rear disc conversion in my passenger seat (rta's and all)
4 steelies in the backseat w/tires (160lb total)
2 tail lights behind them
3 strut bars that I picked up off the same guy, 30 for all three, cant beat it and they are well made.
and just before I drove to the airport for my flight today (which is where im at right now) I pickedup the exhaust.

Built Ford 302 + tranny in the back seat, axle center section and pair of Mickeys in the trunk. had the back seat folded down, front seat forward, tranny overlapped the front seat, engine had heads torn off, then put back on inside the car, again when we took it out. Hauled it over 2000 miles before we got around to taking it back outta there, and suspension was harder than ever the whole time.

Nice thing was the headers were level w/ the oil pan, so it was like on a tri-pod that made it stand up straight w/o being tied to anything.

Christ
01-19-2008, 04:34 AM
nah, I used to park in a truckstop and sleep w/ the backseat folded down, they used to come over and knock on the window just to be dicks. Soon after they started, the dog started listening for them, and he'd wake up as soon as someone got near the car, run up to the front seat, and start growling at them... even if they were just walking by...

That pretty much stopped ANYONE from coming over to the car, except when I started sleeping in the parking lot at work, Paula would come over and wake me up and bring me breakfast... she kept asking me to stay w/ her... and she loved my dog. Doh.. why didn't I take that offer?

Consequently, I went to her house once to drop the dog off for the day while I was out, and she was going to take care of him for the day for me, I knocked on the door, she answered in nothing but a towel... being the gentleman I am  I looked the other way... like a dolt.
