Cause i have gone 50-60 miles after i first saw the light and when i filled up i filled 18.4 gallons. And there were other times when i thought i must be running on fumes and when i filles i had 2 to 3 gallons left. But i never went until the light stayed on. Even driving 50 miles it would still turn off sometimes. Now i have the redline and that has a tiny 13.5 gallon tank lol

Yeah, I would say after it goes solid. However, I could go 50 miles on two gallons in my TT.

Hey guys just thought i would say hilo and i'm alive work has been a killer for the few past weeks.... And not the kewl kind like where i get to do nice cars no pos cars after another after another....

I've done circuit stuff like that on access roads. Unfortunately, I've never really broken 60mph in 4th gear in the crx doing it and that was in a flat straight (dirt/gravel). The roads were mainly dirt/gravel, unused and not very forgiving if you went off the "road"... It's like a whole different world using a vehicle that was meant to go off-roading at a fraction of the speed. At least now I get to see all the nature I was missing by hauling a$$ :lol:

yea the circut i have isnt very fogiving. narrow lanes. only one lane each way. i go off, i run into trees. it's kinda like "the Ring" in Germany. very narrow, but really quick, and difficult.

ok i need to say this every once in a while, cause it makes me relize where i've come in life. what happened in the past 2 months is nothing.

most if not all of u know i carry a debt. some is linked to my stealth...well at this point most of it. about 3g is from something else.

when i was 17 my life was saved by my previous ex. i had a drug problem. and had acumulated around 20g in debt. me and her never talked, she just talked to me once during lunch and said if i ever need to talk here's her number. about 3hrs after skool ended that day i called her and told her. she drove over and told my parents(cause i couldnt). a person i had never talked to, came and pretty much changed my life from a living hell, to the ability to have driven some of the worlds nicest cars, meet some great people. and everything it is today. i had my days that i just wanted to die, just to get rid of everything i had done. i thank god every day that she took 2mins out of her life and helped someone else.

the lyrics i posted a few wks ago, u think they were dark, they're nothing. i used to have one on my myspace, that was dark, but limited in a way.

btw, we dated for 10months after i was clean. i miss her so much, she died in a car accident while we were dating. i never got over her, not a day goes by that i dont think of her, cause i never got to see her. i wasnt allowed at the funneral b/c her parents hated me. i never got to go into the hospital again cause of hate. i never got to say goodbye. so if i could do a smiley with drinks i would, but i'll just say cheers

do you guys know any companies that will check cars out for you? i'm asking this becuase there are alot of 3000GTs out in the east coast with low miles and low cost, and i wouldn't want to have to buy a plane ticket to go look at a 3/s and find out it is not worth it.
edit: oh and whats considered a 1992.5 like when does it have to be made by to have the 4 bolt?

If you ask on the regional sections of 3si, usually people are willing to go check out a car for you. Of course you have to hope they are nice enough not to steal the deal out from under you.

honostly i'd say just save for the 99, or 2nd gen vr4.

if the person is willing to sell the car on the east cost and ur willing to buy it on the west coast, the seller should b nice enuf to bring it to a mechanic(should do a check for free or cheap) and then give u any answers. now that's in a perfect world. um if ur insurance company is a national company, u can call them, and they'll send an agent to llok at it, and bring it to a mechanic. but i doubt u'll find a company who'd do it for free

Nah there's nothing wrong with your gf makin out with one of her friends. Both my present Gf and my last gf have made out with other girls (actually, they used to make out with eachother...long story:grinno: ) and im in a REAL serious relationship with the present gf. I guess what it all comes down to is the reason for doing it. Girls like to have fun, and they're much more open about their sexuality. Girls make out all the time (mostly at parties or to impress guys, but they still do it). If your gf makes out with one of her friends just cuz all of a sudden she thought "You know what? I really wanna make out with a girl" then that's fine. Its when it becomes a recurring issue that you have to start worrying about her sexual preference. i do agree...i can see a little comaroishness in the front end. Im sure aerodynamics was paramount in the design though so im not really offended by it.

The whole key to the vector is that its supposed to be a supercar with none of the drawbacks (other than price). Everything is made to never break and be easily maintained. If you read that article it says all the cercuitry is spacecraft and whatever...it just really is a completely different kind of car.

ever since i was 10 ive been fascinated with vectors...and i am pretty excited theyre giving it another go as well. Hopefully their marketing has improved.

um...they always had futuristic styling and electronics in thier cars...hence the reason some of them never even hit the 57 mile odometer reading. for the amount of money u pay u get a good car, but not really one worthy of that much green being handed over.

i've been obsessed with vectors since i was like 7, there was a yellow w8 in a car and driver calander(or one like that). loved em ever since...same with the viper too.

i think the only advantage it'll have over some other companies in the supercar field...it kinda has a cult following. i mean ferrari and lambo have die hard fans, but vector has people that would do almost anything just to see one...and the trials and tribulations that company has had in its history, makes u wanna go out and buy, not knowing if the copmany will b around the next yr

actually from some article i read the veyron doesnt hold top speed anymore, it's a ssc aero 8tt, something like 255mph or so. so the new vector has to hit 256(for safety reasons) but it says in bonneville gearing it can make 270, but i think at that point aero is so great that the downforce creates lift, and might lift the car off the ground(could b fun!!!)

as for looks, i'm thinking you should google image search the Vector wx3...the wx8 and 3 look kinda the same...means it looks like the m12, only shorter in the rear(which this appears to be). i just hope they do justice and put a 6spd manual in it with or w/o paddle shifts. the w8 was a 3spd auto out of a oldsmobile, and the m12 was a 5spd, out of a lambo diablo

o got another question, wat is everyone's views on leasing vs. buying?

anyways, i think this looks better than his previous models. i like the more edgy styling, sort of like the w8 had, but its longer and looks better proportioned.

ok example...the new world speed record holer the SSC Aero 8tt...before they did some body modifications would hit 249mph and lift off the ground, the aero downforce produced uplift(the exact same way an airplane wing works) therefore at 249 it would "fly". so i'm saying the new vector better have some good aero if they wanna break 255mph, because the SSC and WX8 look kinda the same...check it out

its not that the downforce created lift, its that there wasnt enough downforce to compensate for the lift created by the car. as a vehicle goes faster then it will have more uplift and tend to lift off the ground, but we cange the areo of the car so that instead of creating upward forces the wind resistance creates downforce thus gluing the tires to the road. downforce wouldnt create a lift though, it just means that at 246mph the amount of downforce being exerted was less than the amount of lift created.

Downforce and lift are completely opposite.

The ultimate aero has the ability to run up to 273 i think if given long enough stretch.... What happened to Porsche's bid to win the fastest car in the world race last i herd was a Carerra GT with a V8 TT and significant aero mods

thats why expensive spoilers resemble upside-down airplane wings, aka airfoils...so they push the vehicle into the ground (downforce).

top fuel dragsters...HUGH wing on back to force the rear wheels into the ground, and one up front to keep the nose on the ground. all downforce.
