freaking crazy. i cant believe i'm drunk before 10pm.

to be honest. at the begining of the night i really didnt care who won, but when the game started i found myself rooting for the giants like it was life and death.

I just found out this morning that all of the employees of my acadamy have been laid off and that the company has gone bust.

I'm in complete shock. I moved across the country to attend and now i'm stuck with a huge loan payment, no job, and no CTO (control tower operator certificate).

I dont think sueing the company for the loan money would do any good if they went bust. Would the parent company have the responsibility to fullfil the contractual obligations of Silver State? it's a private equity group called EOS.

Any lawyers here? anyone have any advise? All the student are completely devestated, financially and emotionally.

well i passed the physical agility and suitability screener just a back ground check and lie detector test and i got It :D let me say i'm soar lol and sorry to hear bout that blink... btw anybody got a spare axle shaft off rt/tt or vr4 i got 2 on 3si but one had the same issue mine did wheel bearing went out and machined the end of it down...

First good news I've gotten in awhile...I'm getting my sales manager spot back (the one I was demoted from in Oct, and then fired from completely in Nov) Just like I said, I came back and made damn sure they knew it was a mistake to let me go. Other than that, the day to day life is just draining me of any and all satisfaction. But being that I havn't drank in 2 months, I'm saving crazy amounts of money, never realized how much money I was throwing away to support my habits, so the plan is to be back on top of things by June or July...and then the search for my first house is gonna get under way.

blink: not much for law, but know a bit about it. i would find out from an actual lawyer, but there's probably a way that u dont have to pay for the fin aid. ur not getting anything in return for the money ur being billed for. thats like buying a car and paying but never getting the car. i assume the control tower is for an airport. i'd say go to the local airport(major/international) get a job with them, and see if maybe they'd pay for u to go to skool for control tower. hope everything else is good tho.

So I've been on a "quest" to get a credit card recently and have been denied at 2 places already and it's pissing me off!!! WTH??? I understand that since I don't have any credit it's a bit harder but no credit is better than bad credit, isn't it? Holy crap...

I first applied for Chase Freedom last month and got denied. Okay, that's understandable because Chase is kinda big right now and applying for something big with no credit history is risky. Fine.

But today, I went to apply at Washington Mutual where I bank at and they deny me there too! WHAT??? My sister just got one last year and she had no credit at all either. Not only that but I make more than her so how can she qualify and I don't?

Ugh...this is pissing me off. I don't wanna spend like crazy and go into debt but I also know it's really important that we build good credit so how the hell can I go about doing that when no one would give me a card? Stupid system... Haha

Anyone have any ideas? Should I wait a bit before trying again? And where's a good place that I could try without getting screwed over by? This super sucks... Haha

The way I got my first credit card was getting one with an annual fee. I had it for like 2 years then applied for another card with no annual fee and got it. Then I cancelled the annual fee card.

to slade i say get one for students there easier to get. capital one gave me one. just don't look for the one with rewards like flier miles or anything. you don't need to get one with an annual fee (mine doesn't have one) but it might help. getting one as a student is the way to go!!!

Well, I am driving the 3000GT now. I also got a new addition for it....a GPS. So now I have a radar detector and a GPS system mounted on my winshield. It's like an entire control center. Obviously I can't see as much of the road now, which is why I soley rely on my GPS to tell me whether I am on or off the road now. :p

Just wanted to drop in and let you guys know(jason knows already) that my 3k got hit because of some idiot kid in a ford escort. anywho, the fender and left front marker light needs to be replaced and minimal damage to the door where it meets the fender. anywho, i've bought another car and was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in buying the TT engine and stuff i bought to do the conversion along with the car for 4500.00 obo. let me know. email me at [email protected]. Now that that's all out of the way, If i get a new deck is there any way to hook up the steering wheel controls, or is there a certain type of head unit I have to buy, or will I have to learn to just let go and NOT use the steering wheel controls? Oh yeah and what about the cd changer in back?

i remember on 3si somewhere they were talking bout a adapter or something might want to search or ask in the newb thread as for the changer prob not..

hmmm...thats a good question. I had a friend who had an '03 grand prix with the steering wheel controls, and he upgraded to an aftermarket deck (nice kenwood unit), and had it professionally installed. He told the installers that he wanted the steering wheel controls to still work, and they did it, but charged quite a bit extra. I dont know how much the install would have been w/o hooking them up, but he ended up paying like $250.

Hey guys and girls, just wanted to drop by. Sorry I havn't been on at all. I got my sales manager spot back...and this time I plan on continuing to move up, not down again. That has pretty much been my life as of recently...just work. My court date got pushed back again, so still no word on my license situation..but I did take the vr4 off the road for awhile. One wheel bearing was shot, it's overdue for a 60k, and there are some other things I want to do to it as well...but I just don't have the time right now...so I figured I'd save some money and just garage it.

I know I've fallen off the radar as of recently, it's hard enough seeing my friends and family around here. I know I'm not on AIM much, but feel free to hit me up on there if you catch me...hope all is going good for you guys.

good man...you had me worried for a second there. Id love to hear your thoughts on the prius after a few months of ownership. Seems like all the reviews i read are bias in one way or the other. I have yet to hear what i would consider an 'honest' review on the thing without some journalist preaching to me about the planet or oil or something.

we'll know today if our financing is approved. The independent dealership doesn't finance, so we had to come up with something on our own, which is a problem since i've only been at my job 2 weeks and we've only lived in the area 6 months. It's jacked up the way financing works. we're approved to finance a new Lancer for $16k, but no one will finance us for a $6k used vehicle. I dont understand it at all and it's really frustrating. If this falls through, which i think it might, we're probably going to end up getting a Lancer. She's gotta turn in her lease vehicle tomarrow and we're just out of time to keep looking for a 3k.

it's definitely a nice little car. surprisingly quick too, considering the hp numbers. and that CVT is a prettty neat trick as well. I told her i'd get her an Evo spoiler for her b-day :grinyes:
