Hey guys, I need some advice from everyone...especially those who can push people to get things done...

I've been wanting to get my engine bay detailed for quite some time now and after talking with Jordan from Late Night Custom, I decided to have my parts sent to them for the polishing/powder coating work. The initial turn-around time that he gave me was 1, 2 weeks top. That sounded reasonable so I sent my intake plenum, my valve cover, and had 3sx send a spark plug cover to LNC towards the end of July. On July 31st, LNC confirmed that they received everything and would work on it later that week...

After about 2 weeks, I send them an e-mail to make sure everything was still on track and they respond by saying that they're a little backed up but will get to it by the end of the week. That's fine, things come up... A week after that, I e-mail them again and they say they're almost done and will send pictures soon. A week later, I send another e-mail for status and pictures but get nothing. I call them and no one picks up. I PM them over at 3si and get no response for the longest time. When they finally do respond, Jordan gives me excuses that he didn't get any e-mails (BS because prior to me sending my parts to them they responded to every single e-mail and PM I sent them), that his phone is broken, that his camera is missing, and etc etc.

So here we are today. Almost two months now and I still have nothing. He still doesn't return my e-mails, phone calls, or PMs and I start grad school next week without a car. DAMN, WTF do I do??? Will I even get my parts back??? This is so frustrating and I just don't know how they can stay in business with service like that. Furthermore, I don't know why 3si allows them to do business over there when they're so bad with keeping their promise.

At this point, I'm thinking that I might have to suck it up and buy a new manifold and valve cover from Jason since I'll probably never see mine again but wanted to see what you guys thought first. I spoke to Vert about this and his advice was to threaten to get a lawyer on them. I've never dealt with legal matters before so I don't know what to expect aside from pure misery!?! So yeah...any advice you guys can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks guys...

First noob post yay!

I don't know about gettin a lawyer...As you can tell from my rank, im still a noob, therefore I don't know how much all that stuff you sent them will cost you to replace, but unless they're some really critical and expensive parts, a lawyer could easily hurt your pockets more than it would to just buy new parts.

Hey Jason, thanks for getting the stuff for me...thought you forgot about it. :p Anyways, did you get the reducer and the coupler or just the reducer?

As far as LNC goes, I don't want to drag you into this hassle so I'll hold off on you contacting them for now. Believe me, I really appreciate it but I don't want you to have to deal with their crap because it's bad enough as is...

IDK how this happend but it turned out that the party my buddy hosted was such a big deal we were the leading story on every single local news station in a city of 1 million + people. Didn't seem like that big of a deal. They did an interview with my buddy who owns the place even. What a stupid night.

Yeah it was which is really weird because we have people that are killed in this city every day. On four news station we were the first story to appear on the news. They took cameras into the house and did an interview with my buddy and everything. A total of 38 minors were busted for MIP and my friend got 38 felony accounts of procuring alcohol and another girl got disorderly conduct for refusing a breathalizer and being beligerant with the cops.

Here is a one of the websites the day after. Look at there top stories for their news:

wow...i've missed a lot

moved back to VA last tuesday...and i have no lisence for the next 45 days starting today...also means hot3000 gets to drive my tt around. good fo her...sux for me.

we own three cars and only one is road leagle. her 3000 is still getting its work done and my 944 still has a burnt clutch. both of em are getting fixed this wk :)

coinstars are awsome...went and traded my coins for 82 bucks...good stuff, about a wks worth of gas.

so on the 500mile trip down here(last tuesday) i saw a turbo(for a fricken turbo prop plane...big as hell) i also saw a 99 vr4 going east on 78. followed a 99 sl for around 200 miles. past two blue 2nd gen stealths, one turbo one r/t. and raced a 97 or 98 sl. blew her doors off(30-70mph) come on...i dont even need to shift. and a few other cars....supras and a few zed cars.

i've been wondering....what makes a tt stealth/vr4 slower than a supra in a drag? is it the weight or the gearing or how the turbos work on the supra(sequential)? i was tempted to take one from a light...but knew i didnt really stand a chance.

besides i've tried launching like 5x since i've been back down here...yea i've forgotten how. doesnt help the clutch is slipping

Stealthee
09-24-2007, 07:11 PM
Stock for stock Supras are comparable to 3000GT's. Now Supras havemuch larger injectors and larger stock turbos so on a stock set up you cansafely run more boost etc. Supras were basically over engineered while Mistubishi squeeked by with the bare minimum.

You forgot to mention that you saw around 6000 mustangs... Ugh, I actually counted one time and on a hour long trip saw 37 mustangs and 2 (including the one i was driving) 3/S's yikes lol, and then they want to know why everyone digs my car lol.:grinyes:

saw 20 mustangs in the town i'm from...going to the local dragway.
saw 4 more when i pulled in to pick up hot3000 at her moms house.

saw a few other cars...2 ferrari's, 2 lambos, 10 911's, 3 lotus's, and a few vettes and vipers.

also saw my ex gf...in shippensburg pa...3ish hrs from where we grew up. she was jelous of my stealth(she always wanted one) granted she drives a 97 mitsu eclipse gsx. with a 6spd? green with tan leather(that made me jelous) she cheated on me with one of my friends i had since 5th grade. if only she had stayed with me another 2wks she woulda been able to ride in a tt stealth.

i know in faq it stats best upgrades. but i was wondering whats the easiest way to get the 350hp. since most of the tt engine can only take 14.5psi i figure i'd try 14psi around what 340hp...so i'd still need to get 10ish more.
wats the best way to get that extra 10hp?

i run 11psi right now(with free boost mod, is that correct?) so i have 320hp. its great, but i want more...well dont most people after a lil while with a 3s

I don't understand? Try the basic bpu's the faq mentions. And if I recall right you can boost 14 psi safely on the stock the turbos. As for the motor it can handle far more than 340hp and 14 psi lol.

are you talking about to the wheels or at the flywheel??

vectorspecialist
09-25-2007, 09:25 PM
i member reading something somewhere that 14.5 is like some limit for the 3s before lowering compression or something...eh watever.

i was thinking 350hp at the flywheel...but just out of curiosity wat would 350 to the ground need to b at the flywheel?

i just want a lil more power...not a drag strip queen. if i can just boost pressure and get a good amount power than i'll get a elec boost controller and build up the pressure over a few wk period...granted i have to do that damn tune up...it was due 2,500miles ago..!!!! yikes!!!! the 62,500mile tune up i'll call it.

Stealthee
09-25-2007, 09:30 PM
The stock motor can take a whole lot more. Most people actually up the compression to 8.5 or 9:1. Going lower than 8:1 is going to kill teh cars power band.

What youve heard is a stock TT can only handle ~14.5 psi. Thats because the turbos are maxed and the fuel is maxed. Upgrade fuel and throw 13gs on and you'll easily be closer to 400 hp
